Ben-DutkaModNation Racers is due on May 25 but if you want some highly customizable kart fun this week, you can always download the demo.
As expected, it has been announced that a demo for the PlayStation 3 version will hit the PSN this week, on May 18. A demo for the PSP version is already there; that's why we specified. Come Tuesday, you can race on one of the in-game tracks in standard single-player, challenge up to three of your buddies in an offline multiplayer race, sample the in-depth customization by creating your own Mod and Kart, and even make a full track from scratch! Sounds like one heck of a demo, doesn't it? Once done, you can even save all your cool track inventions and use them later when you purchase the full game, which is all the more incentive to get those creative juices flowing early. Lastly, the Blog post does mention that the developers are aware of some of the complaints concerning load times, and they're currently working to improve on those times. I think it's great when a designer takes feedback, acknowledges the problem, and incorporates a fix, even before the game hits store shelves…
As one of the more important titles for the month, ModNation Racers will definitely turn a few heads, and you can expect our review to go live soon.

That is a very good feature, the fact that you can copy your completed tracks from the demo to the full game. I wonder if there is any connectivity with the psp version. Any ideas peeps?
This was going to be a day 1 purchase for me, but unfortunately it will have to wait. I'll be happy to mess around with the demo though.

Well I am buying RDR this coming week, and I've been trying to save my money to purchase a laptop. I figure I can hold off a couple weeks until I buy that before I delve into some epic kart racing.

Awesome, I'll have to take a break from Red Dead to give this a try finally, the game looks great. It sucks that i missed the beta.

I'm definitely downloading this demo. Normally I don't want the demo if I'm buying the game, but I'm ready to try out the track creation. I like the fact that it carries over into the full game.

This is awesome news, tuesday is my wifes birthday and we've been looking forward to playing this together. Now we can play it on her birthday, awesome!
I haven't heard one way or the other but I hope the beta creations are saved too, because I still have all the info on my ps3. If not I guess my deadpool and other marvel creations will just have to be redone. I don't mind, it was sooo much fun!
I'm just wondering is this going to be a waste considering LBP2. I presume the racing genre is included in that too.

I'm very tempted to take back Alan Wake for 360 one week after purchase to EB. Then exchange it for Modnation Racers.
Will try oh so very hard to finish Alan Wake in 1 week. Will have to check out the Collector's Edition though and see if it's worth keeping.
But no matter what, I will sooner or later get my hands on Modnation. It's a game that every PS3 owener must have, much like Mario Kart on Wii. No Wii owner should be without Mario Kart.

I'm downloading it and I for sure picking this game up looks amazing and a lot of fun.
Good thing there working on the load times that can realy take the fun out of a game no matter how good the game play is.
I no longer have a PS3, it stopped reading discs… again… I had the beta for this game for a long time, it's not really my thing, but it is easily the greatest kart racing game of all time.
I know that feeling ! I can't insert game discs into my console ! Luckily it's under warranty so I should be good to go I hope !
I am pleasantly surprised to see that the demo isn't multiplayer only. I will definitely be checking it out.
I see the PSP demo but not the PS3 demo for MNR ! I guess they haven't released it yet or I just can't find it in my old age ! LOL !
