Bioshock 2: More DLC, Single-Player Expansion Coming Soon

Bear in mind that the source is European so we can only make educated guesses in regards to the price tags.

But anyway, according to Electronic Theatre , 2K Games has announced the Rapture Metro Pack, the second piece of downloadable content for the excellent sequel, Bioshock 2 . This extra piece of content costs 800 Microsoft Points or £7.99 for the European region, so perhaps we should expect a price point of $9.99…? The Rapture pack gives you six new maps ripped directly from the single-player adventure, a rank increase to Level 50, and the Rebirth option that'll give players a chance to reset to Lv. 1 after maxing at Lv. 50 in order to receive a special mask. But that's only the beginning: the developers have two more DLC packs; the first of which is available for free and features an all-new mode called Kill'em Kindly; players go at each other with golf clubs, believe it or not. The second is a character pack that adds two characters – Zigo the Fisherman and Blanche the Actress – to the multiplayer gameplay, that one costs 160 Microsoft Points or £1.59 ($2.99?) on the PSN.

Oh, and one more thing- 2K Games will give us some DLC that actually extends the single-player experience, too. This will be here "in the coming months" and will apparently bring us to new locales in Rapture, expand the narrative, and even provide us with nifty new tools and more difficult challenges. So much DLC only focuses on multiplayer these days; we're big fans of any bonus content that builds on the single-player campaign.

I'm kinda busy right now; anybody who happens to see these packs on the PSN, please do toss up the actual US prices in the Comments section.

I haven't bought any of the BS2 stuff. The multiplayer is ok. Not worth the expansions. The single player stuff is interesting though.

I haven't gotten around to playing BS2 as of yet. Now it looks like that I'll be waiting a little bit longer for a possible GotY edition of the game.

What is this Bioshock you speak of? All I can see is old west gunfighting in my head.

Reading this article and all these comments all I keep thinking is B.S. 2 sounds about right. I'm sorry but nearly $20 worth of add-ons and half of it just ripped from the first game? Ripped for sure, ripped right off!

Bioshock 2 was a great game and well worth the money. You don't need any of this DLC to enjoy it.

that I'm willing to believe pirate, just irritates me when companies try to gouge us like this.

fair enough I can understand where you are coming from. Especially when it comes to content already on the disc.

I have become more lenient though with companies that I feel have given me good value for the money with the main game though.

I really wish I had some money right now. Too bad or else this is what I would spend it on because, I absolutely love this game. It is really a great experience by itself. As Pirate said, you don't need any DLC to enjoy this game, it's just extra.

he is up there!
i wish more games would do this, fallout 3 had so many expansion packs and all of them received more praise than the original game!

id love to see ratchet and clank or uncharted or GOW or MGS get the same treatment.
i mean who says DLC has to be new maps, or skins assigned to multiplayer?
developers are always bitching that people buy there game, finish it and take it back, well how about giving us a reason to keep the game!!!!!!!

Amen! I'd buy alot more FallOut 3/GTA type DLC that made the single player longer and more fleshed out. New maps for multiplayer and skins are okay but I'd rather have my single player experiences extended. Most games I but are for the single player game not the multiplayer. Even though Uncharted and Bio 2 did add some pretty entertaining multiplayer no one bought those games for multiplayer.
