Well, that's what demos are for, right? A demo for the PSP version should be available today on the PSN but we don't yet have one for the PS3 and the game is scheduled to arrive in a couple weeks…so some gamers are getting a little antsy. Most of them didn't get a chance to participate in the beta test that kicked off way back in December, and they're still wondering if the innovative "Play, Create, Share" concept works well enough in a kart racer. SCEA Associate Product Marketing Manager Chuck Lacson answered the question about a PS3 demo over at the PlayStation Blog ; one is definitely coming and it'll be here "soon, very soon." Okaaaay, so how about next week? That seems about right; it's "soon" and it'd be the week before the game is on store shelves. Some of you who really adored LittleBigPlanet likely don't need any further convincing, but the competition is fairly steep this month. Red Dead Redemption and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands launch on the same day next week, remember.
But anyway, at least we know a PS3 demo is definitely on the way. If you're planning on picking up ModNation Racers for the PSP, then feel free to sample it later today.

I just checked amazon and it said it releases on the 25, and I for one live in America
Yes, it releases on the 25th in NA, which is exactly 2 weeks from today. It releases on the 21st in the EU, which is the region I'm affiliated to.

Anyone knows any good deals on Modnation Racers? Although, I don't like cheaping out on quality exclusives, with Red Dead Redemption coming out this month, I'm sure this will be a big spending month for all of us. Btw, you can get RDR for 45.99 at Buy dot com. Pass it on.
I luckily got Red Dead Redemption for 38.99 bucks, I had 15 bucks store credit and 10% off the initial price 😀
Well I for one was part of the beta and I can tell you that modnation is like the original mario kart with upgrades and on uber awesome steroids. I can't wait for this game, it has split screen, online, creation, it has it all and its so much fun!
Well, yeah, bro, I'm getting it for sure. I just wanted to know if anyone knows any deals on it, because I will be getting this game, and another, making this month a big-spending one. Will it be worth it? Of course. Would I save money if I still could get it? Of course.

too bad it doesnt have that 4 player arena deathmatch like mario kart had. i liked driving around with 3 balloon knocking people out.
I'd suggest amazon then because it also comes with the special mods and karts, which walmart does not.

Although demos don't always show a game's true beauty, it's good to at least give players a taste.
If anything, it'll hold me over 'till the game comes out

This is good. I did enjoy the psp demo as I really thought it was good, but one thing i did find bad was the the frame rate on the menu. The gameplay was nice and smooth as it is fine. Hopefully PS3 version will be better.
BTW: gamespot is giving out codes for a kart on thier site. so go sign up and check it out.
Maybe very soon is tomorrow, seeing as the next update is then.

As much as I'm interested in modnation racers I'm going to have to go with red dead redemption.
I'll get my share of "Play.Create.Share" at the end of the year with little big planet 2.
well I can understand if you're low on funds, I haven't bought a new game in almost 2 months so that I could afford red dead and modnation. Luckily I also have some bestbuy rewardzone money for red dead and some amazon money for modnation so I'll be getting them both for about $80. thank goodness for deals is all I can say.
i got about 50 bucks reward zone money at best buy so that means i can buy modnation racers. earned that in the span of white knight to god of war 3.
Sooner the better. No point bringing a PSP demo before the PS3 one. PS3 is the flagship, it should be first…

I really want to buy this game but I've been buying way too many games lately. I still may purchase it with Amazon so I can play as Ratchet and Clank. I also really want to race around the InFamous track. If the demo is good I just may pre-order this baby…we'll see. Modnation, Go, Go, Modnation!

whats the point of releasing a demo after the games out?
is it not more logic to go to the video store and rent the game that way you get the FULL game?
not to mention you dont have to waste your download usage?
