If you're a Fallout fan, you'll likely start drooling when you see this, especially when you realize you can nab it all for only an extra $20.
Bethesda has announced the Collector's Edition for their highly anticipated Fallout: New Vegas , scheduled to arrive this fall for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The package might appear similar to those who purchased and enjoyed the Collector's set for Fallout 3 : we'll get a Deluxe Box that boasts seven "Lucky 7" poker chips (each represents one of the major casinos found on the New Vegas strip), a fully customized deck of cards, a recreation of the game's highly sought-after "Lucky 38" platinum chip, a special hardcover graphic novel entitled "All Roads" (essentially a prequel written by Chris Avellone, the game's creative director and created with the help of Dark Horse Comics), and of course, the now-requisite "Making of" DVD. So, any gambling fans out there? Nah, you just have to be a Fallout aficionado to want this one; you can pre-order it now if you count yourself amongst the avid franchise followers.
And that price tag of $79.99 isn't too bad; we've seen far more expensive packages already this generation. Oh, and that October 1 launch date may or may not be accurate, but we do know the game will be ready to go in autumn.

well that is definitely more reasonable than the 150 that some collectors editions are charging
i made the mistake of passing on fallout 3's collector edition but back then, i didn't know fallout 3 was going to end up being my favorite game ever… i won't be making that mistake again, lol…
I agree on that BTN, I bought the Fallout 3 collectors edition which I only wanted for the super awesome lunch box and bobblehead. This edition looks cool too though.
I managed to snag the lunchbox for $30 at EB during one of their crazy summer sales and then traded just the game back to them a month later for $40.
Best deal ever.
No thanks. I'll be purchasing New Vegas day one, for sure, but I am done with collectors sets.
80 bucks for an expansion of a game that released 2 years ago. Good game but not worth that.
I would consider the game of the year edition of Fallout 3 the expansion of the game.
New Vegas is a whole other ball game. count me in for this one…
THAT'S the hard cover graphic novel?! I'm so freaking buying this on day one. Fallout is the WRPG to rule them all and I do believe Bethesda's predictions when they say this one will outsell F3. F3 is an all time favorite, but this one looks nuts!
Is it just me, or does anything that has a little Vegas in it make it that much better?
Fallout + Vegas = Win
Collector's edition looks sweet…..and reasonably priced, as far as these things go.

I like poker and Fallout. Win win!
I'm surprised it's only $20 more. I may have to get my reserve on this ASAP.

I just hope they don't come out with add-ons that cost as much as the original game with this one. Especially if they are buggy.
Wait a minute, is this game being developed by the team that once was Black Isles? Never mind just did my research and yes this is. I will be picking this game up and might opt for the collector's edition. Hopefully this is more of a true sequel to the Fallout's of old. Getting pretty excited nonetheless.
EDIT!: Wait a damn minute, is the collector's edition only available through Gamestop? Ugh, if it is I may actually pass on it and just get the game. The only Gamestop for 20 miles is fanboy heaven and I can't deal with them berating me about getting the 360 version and then screwing up my preorder and doing that version anyway.

Say it isn't so! I want this, but not so bad that I'd buy it from GameStop.
NEW VEGAS.
Hmm…I think I'll just wait for the GotY edition like I did with Fallout3, and get all the dlc with it. But I am tempted.
D1P game, but I don't need the collectors Edition. I crave waste-crawling though.

Damn,
Working with the same old casino chips in & out every day, those Fall-out chips certainly do have a much sweeter appeal to me.
I like to play the slots, the ones that keep you alive for a long time instead of just taking all your money right away. One time I go 50 free spins, it was unprecedented.
World,
The slots, along with the Big-6 wheel(think of wheel of fortune), and the Sic-Bo(tumbling dice) games are the very worse odds games you can play in a house.
FYI, And the more spinning reels on a slot machine,(although a much higher jackpot), then the harder it will ever be to even hit it.
With slots, you have to be at the right machine at the right time, cause when it's ready to hit, it's ready to hit.
BTW, Best odds in any house is the card game Baccarat, at 49.6% in favor of playing over on the "BANK" side.
If they can make some DLC for my Lincoln Repeater to appear in this new Fallout. I will buy it.
Sweet deal… I will decide when it comes out if I will buy the collectors edition or the normal one….
I never bought Fallout 3 but once I played it I enjoyed it a lot more than what I originally thought I would. So I am picking up F3 GOTY edition soon and I will definitely get New Vegas as soon as it releases….
this is one game im really looking forward to!
just bethesda PLEASE make sure the games well polished.
if you think im putting up with that crap you call fallout 3 you got another thing coming!!!!
that had enough bugs to make mercenaries 2 look like a work of art!!!!!
