If you've been waiting on that Stimulus Package for the PlayStation 3 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 , you're wait is just about over.
As outlined at the PlayStation Blog , the first bit of downloadable content for the hugely popular MW2 will be available to download off the PlayStation Store later today for the price of $14.99. This will give you access to no less than 5 new maps for the multiplayer portion of the game; this includes two classic maps from CoD4, plus three "completely new locations that offer a variety of unique locations for your favorite gametypes." You can read up on the map info through the previous link (there's a description for Bailout, Salvage, Storm, Crash, and Overgrown), and you should also be aware of the new additions to the playlist multiplayer structure: Stimulus and Stimulus Hardcore. Bear in mind that these new modes are only available on the new maps. Obviously, you'll need this package to partake of the Stimulus stuff but they'll also provide everyone with Team Tactical, which features 6-8 players for some team-based games. The latter is due to "HUGE demand from the community." The certainly listen, don't they?
So if you need another reason to continue playing MW2, it's right here. And you can bet this won't be the last piece of DLC that comes your way, Call of Duty fans.
