If you're not familiar, you should Wiki the name "Darkstalkers" (is "Wiki" a verb now?); it's a franchise that has been around since 1994 and the die-hard followers have been begging for a new installment.
The good news? The man who helped bring the acclaimed Street Fighter franchise back to life, Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono, is apparently trying to convince his company that there's enough fan demand for another Darkstalkers . According to what Ono told VideoGamesDaily , the whispers that a new title is in the works may or may not be true. The bottom line is that he most certainly wants to make a new Darkstalkers title and he sorta makes it sound like the ultimate decision will rely on acquired fan clamor. Said Ono:
"Yes I always try and talk about Vampire (Darkstalkers) during interviews because I want to show Capcom that there is a demand for a new game. I am desperate to make this game!"
So the question is, do you believe there are enough fans out there who will support such a project? Are you one of them? And if you're a follower, how should Ono and Capcom approach a new title? At the very least, another one may spark another cosplay wave that results in pictures like these…maybe that's reason enough to beg Capcom for a new Darkstalkers . If you thought it was hard to find such a pic, just go to Google Images and type in "Darkstalkers and Morrigan." Yeah. What's up with that?
If a new Darkstalkers stars characters that look like the picture, even I may have to consider it.
Oh, BTW Morrigan rocks.
All succubus' rock! 8)
that would be succubi 😛
@chedison,
Yeah…stupid spell-checker was telling me "succubi" was wrong -_-
Cos-play FTW.
I loved the dark stalkers chronicles on PSP. First day buy for me. I want to replace SFIV. Many might disagree to that but I personally prefer dark stalkers to SF series. Guess that sexy style and flashy moves make a big impact for me.
And I also prefer that dark universe style with vampiric chicks. Without forgetting the Red Riding Hood with a UZI loll.

It's all 'bout Felicia!
I'd love to see this game come to life just because of how creative this kind of game can get. They can literally come up with any kind of horror character and make it look badass/sexy.
Anyway, there better be a scarecrow in the next game
*I loved Felicia too. She was my favorite character when i played these games
That is the best cosplay of Morrigan I've ever seen [from an American].
Creepiest PSXE picture yet.
Cosplay is only creepy if the person doesn't match the character; like a fat Rei Ayanami, a Dante with zero muscle mass, or black, potbellied Might Guy. This girl is one of the few Americans who can actually do it right. I've seen a great American Tsunade once; boobs, hair and all 😀
If that picture's creepy,
I want my own personal creep-fest!!!!
Indeed…
Don't know much about Darkstalkers but the only thing I know is Morrigan and she is hot!

amen
"So the question is, do you believe there are enough fans out there who will support such a project?"
I don't believe so but may I make a different question?
"Isn't it true that sex sells??"
See? It's easier to answer
you should really take a look at the character list for Darkstalkers. Not that many womenfolk. People like Darkstalkers because the monsters give way to interesting fighting abilities and styles.
The series wasn't based around sex, despite the succubi. And sex does sell, but it doesn't move a lot of units
Now just for what system is the question…hmmmm
How have I never heard of this game series? Well I'm not much for 2d fighters, so I'd hope they spruce it up a bit, but thats just me. I just get bored too quickly with 2d fighters.
the only game i want capcom to make is a proper remake of bionic commando and mega man.
those 2 games were instant CLASSICS!
2D platformer / puzzle solver = nostalgic gaming heaven!!!!!!!!!!!
bionic commando rearmed
mega man 9 and 10
besides those.
plus if finished all 3 and well 3 aint enough!
Morrigan? I think it's time to call the Belmonts'…
I remember playing the original in the arcade. Good fun. I wouldn't mind a new one.
