Saints QB Drew Brees To Grace Madden 11 Cover

It probably wasn't all that difficult to choose an athlete for the cover of this year's Madden installment. But remember, it was up to you .

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees won the Super Bowl last season and due to his 32 of 39 passing for 288 yards and 2 TDs, he also managed to earn the game's coveted MVP award. So it's fitting that EA has announced that Brees will grace the cover of Madden NFL 11 this year; he won the online poll contest that also featured defensive end Jared Allen of the Minnesota Vikings and wide receiver Reggie Wayne of the Indianapolis Colts. But EA is continuing with their fan connection, as they're now letting you rate rookie players in the NFL draft . Madden NFL 11 is set to release in August – per tradition – for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PSP, and iPhone. One of the title's new features will be GameFlow, a new coaching system that allows the player to call "more realistic, situational plays in less time." It'll also boast an overhauled presentation plus all-new animations. Now the only question is whether or not Brees fears the notorious "Madden Curse." Perhaps he shouldn't, though; EA didn't select him, remember, so perhaps that will kill the curse, which absolutely exists…no, really. It does . Just ask guys named Vick, Young, Alexander, McNabb, and Polamalu; even if they weren't injured, their careers took a significant downturn after being on the cover of Madden .

But hey, we're not really superstitious. Who's picking the Saints to win it all again next season? Think Brees can pull off the repeat? Maybe having the fans pick him is good luck.

curse will take over brees it does to everyone that's been on the madden cover. the only person the madden curse didn't have effect on was Brett favre cause favre isn't human he'll play broken arms, legs, etc. i guess we shall see when football season starts again.

Superstition is for fools. Believe it or not, coincidences do exist and that's just what they are.

I could see the Saints repeating. I wouldn't put money on it, but I don't see Minnesota, Indianapolis, New England or any of the other contenders knocking 'em off.

Doesn't matter if you see any contenders, we all gotta root for our team and hope they win! Go Cowboys! LOL

I'm a lifetime Dolphins fan. Nobody knows how painful that has been. We play in a division with three other teams from the north-east, which the sports media has a MAJOR bias towards as far as coverage is concerned. Not only that, but since the 80s, the Fins have been "good not great" consistently almost every year. We used to rule the AFC East then fall short in the playoffs every friggin year.

Being a Fins fan is like sleeping with a beautiful woman whenever you want, but NEVER having an orgasm.

Guessing the 360 version is gonna look better as usual, same with other EA Sports titles including FIFA.

This always cracks me up, they always have helmets on and you can't hardly tell who's on the cover. Even if ya could, who cares anyway. Either the game is good or it isn't.

Wow, good point, never though of it, they pretty much look the same to anyone who knows nothing about NFL, maybe they should take off the helmets and rather pose next time EA.

Or maybe they should just put the cheerleaders posing on the cover and then I'm sure you'll get plenty of guys who don't know anything about football to buy it…

I wouldn't put any money on the Saints returning to the Super Bowl so soon, but I'm not siding with any other state's team either. I wouldn't sweat it if I were Drew, you're only subject to a curse if you let it have power over you.

I am planning on buying this game I've heard of the curse but he is pretty young still but you never know of course most of us dont want them to repeat because we are cheering on our own teams like me I'm chearing on Seattle but I also like the Bengals, Browns and the Broncos I hope Quinn and tebow do good with Denver.

PS I'm more excited for GT5

For those of you who don't know, there are a lot of voodoo priestesses and shamans in the New Orleans area. I am fairly certain they have magical powers that can combat this hex.

I doubt the saints repeat, not because of the curse but it's diffcult to repeat anything. btw I'm a falcon fan.
