Ben-DutkaWe knew another Assassin's Creed title would be coming our way, but did we expect another Driver ? Hmm…maybe not.
As noted by Superannuation , Ubisoft has registered a couple domain names that point towards new – and potentially very huge – titles. The first is for "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood," which could be the third installment in the critically acclaimed franchise. It's even more possible because we know the new title will support online multiplayer, so "brotherhood" seems to fit. However, let's not forget about Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines for the PSP; Brotherhood might be a portable entry and Ubisoft will simply stick with the sequel numbers for the console iterations. The second domain name in question is "Driversanfranciscogame.com," which obviously tells us that Driver , a series that has really never been the same since its inception on the original PlayStation, will make its return. The concept behind these games has always been excellent and we'd be very interested to see how a new Driver would be received by fans and critics alike.
But above all else, we really want that third Assassin's Creed . ACII really was one of the best games of the generation thus far, and the third should be totally bad-ass.
i ain't buyin another ubisoft game if they don't have a manual. cheap bastards. i love ac2 though.

Zorigo, it may be "terribly stupid" to YOU, but to us "collectors" a game disc missing the manual, or case, or artwork makes the game INCOMPLETE. I NEVER read the game manuals BUT any game I purchase must be COMPLETE. If it's missing any of what I've said earlier, it's INCOMPLETE and a no purchase for me.
This is one of MANY reasons I'm against digital download games. Take Socom for example, on PSN it's $30, at a retail store it's $30 (if not on sale or any deals). On PSN I pay $30 for a digital file ONLY, at a retail store I pay $30 for a physical disk, manual, artwork, and case. PSN version is INCOMPLETE, retail store is COMPLETE. As a collector you can guess I'll choose the COMPLETE physical copy.
To me, digital games should be discounted from retail versions as it's cheaper than a physical copy.

Games now days come with tutorials so I rarely even look at the manual.
its a manual god this is just like the person complaining about the way the ps3 case looks now
you idiots, spend money on the game!
the case and manual are minor factors, you may not like it but you don't look at the case for 6 hours straight! (at least i hope not)

I was pumped for ACIII until they began the talk about multiplayer…
Multiplayer is nice, but it just does not fit with certain games, one of which is Assassin's Creed.
Oh well, just my take on the matter
I'm with you on AC3 mp. My opinion it's NOT needed. I enjoyed AC1 & AC2 just fine playing alone, just like I enjoyed the GOW series playing alone. I've said this tons of times- not EVERY game HAS to have a mp option. There are plenty of us gamers who enjoy SINGLE PLAYER campaigns.
Now if they want to implement some sort of co op deal in AC3 I'm down with that because I love a good co op game, but AC3 doesn't HAVE to have co op either.
If UBI wants to include MP or Co-op (whichever they wanna include) I hope they don't skimp on the campaign story just to "fit" (we all know the limitations of that OTHER console) or spend more time on MP. I'm sure everybody remembers broken MW2.
think about this, uncharted didn't need multiplayer.
but oh god does it work fantastically now we know how it works.
I agree, I could do without MP in Assassin's creed. Although a Co-op mode would be cool, AC deathmatches don't really appeal to me.
I just hope that they don't sacrifice development time on the story line just so they can focus more on the online options.
If I want to play an MP like that I'll just go play UC2..It's pretty much the same idea but with guns instead of swords…

Driver has not been any good since the PS1 days but, its a very viable series if done right.
They should look at GTA4 and RDR and try to get somewhere in between… that would be a good mix IMO.
driver… meh? never played one, and im hyped for GT5 anyway.
as for AC. well i think its a psp iteration, but if it is for console, than ill defo pick it up. once i've got my hands on a copy of the second obviously. 😉
Just started playing AC2, and they did a much better job on this game.
Although I still like Altair better.

lol, but seriously, loved me some Altair action in AC1, but he had no real backstory and in the beginning was kind of a dick. Ezio is a much more fleshed out character, the story telling aspect of AC2 is a big leap forward from the first, and it helps you connect more with your avatar.
AC with multiplayer would be fantastic. For all those people who are tired of the barrage of online fps games, this one might just be up their alley.
Not sure if Brotherhood will be it though. Since they released both an Altair and Ezio AC game on the DS and only an Altair adventure on the PSP, it might very well just be the PSP Ezio game.

I hope they make ACIII more challenging because these one on one battles when your fighting a million guards is just ridiiculous. Of course you would die if all the guards attacked you at once, but Ubisoft should at least try to implements moves that let you kill 2-4 guards at one time, of course you have to earn it though, but you get my drift. Action wise, ACII does the job, but lack of A.I. involvement makes ACII kinda boring at times, but it does everything else right (atmosphere, story, etc). Just hope they add more variety to hand to hand combat, if they do that, I will be happy. I don't care if they add multiplayer, as long as it is UC2 'multiplaer add on' good, not Bioshock 2 multiplayer add on lackluster. As for another Driver, I am definitely on board.

a new driver. Sweet. i hope they bring back the fir4st level of the original game where you had to prove yourself as a driver by performing certain stunts( Handbrake turn, J turn,salom etc.) within a time limit. So much fun!! 🙂

Assassins creed: next up to be squeezed dry.
if UBI can give every AC game it releases a kick ass story, and more puzzles to solve, they can squeeze or milk it dry all they want. Same goes for Uncharted and God Of War.
If they start to hammer on mp and take away from the important part of the game, then they'll be no diff than milk-ivision (activision) and won't get my money.
ahhhhh 2 of my most favorite series.
but i swear to god ubisoft if you destroy either of their series every ubisoft employee, building, pencil, pen, computer, everything belonging to ubisoft will mysteriously vanish!
Mmmmm a new Driver? Could be interesting but they have a lot to compete with these days so it better be really impressive before it'll get my attention….
