Typically, a press release features one major announcement…not like a dozen.
Nevertheless, Capcom has delivered a veritable treasure trove of announcements, many of which will excite fans of the publisher's most popular franchises. Rather than dive right in and provide you with a wall of text, we'll hit the highlights in this fashion:
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of the Two Worlds: We heard about the supposed confirmation of a third entry and now, it's no longer "supposed." Iconic Marvel and Capcom characters will go head-to-head once more as you "battle in a comic book brought to life powered by Capcom's MT Framework." It's set to launch for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in spring 2011.
Bionic Command Rearmed 2: The other title we anticipated is also confirmed; it's a sequel to the first Rearmed . Nathan Spencer is back and this time, he has to take down General Sabio, "a new technologically sophisticated foe," who has his finger on the trigger, so-to-speak. The trademark grappling hook will be back and yes, we'll get new and enhanced abilities as well. Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 will hit the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live service in Q1 2011.
Sengoku BASARA: Samurai Heroes: Devil May Cry 4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi brings you the newest iteration in the BASARA series; "fun, action-packed and accessible," players will fight their way to the final battle known as "Sekigahara." Fist fights, swords, spears, bows, and even guns will be at your disposal, so get read to do battle this fall on the PlayStation 3 and Wii.
Dead Rising 2 Co-op: The Xbox 360 may be getting the exclusive Dead Rising 2 Prologue but at least PS3 owners will be able to partake of this new feature in the highly anticipated sequel. Buddy up and take down the stumbling hordes after the game hits store shelves on August 31.
Super Street Fighter IV Tournament Mode DLC: Compete online with only the best players in the world…if you think you've got what it takes, that is. Championship titles are up for grabs when this new piece of DLC drops on June 15 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. New DLC will also release on April 27; this first pack will be dubbed the Super Challengers 1 Pack and it'll feature costumes for Hakan, Makoto, Guy, Dudley and Dee Jay.
Lost Planet 2 DLC: Map Pack #1 features new maps for the 16-player multiplayer action and it comes to the PSN and XBL services on May 11. The two maps featured will be Helix and Back to the Island.
MotoGP 09/10 DLC: The first free update will boast the Silverstone Circuit for the 2010 season; remember, this game (which launched on March 23) features all the tracks and racers from the 2009 season with downloadable updates to the tracks, riders, teams and liveries for the 2010 season.
'whew' I think we're done.
I didn't know Bionic Commando sold enough to warrant a second installment.
EDIT… WOW, I just looked at VGChartz, and 360 sold .22 million and PS3 sold .17 million of Bionic Commando. And we need a 2nd one?
Capcom must be hurting for video game ideas.
Or it was cheap to make. Oh boy, can't wait for a cheap game. Or, we have been lied to, and developers really don't need to sell that many games to turn a profit. (Heavenly Sword anyone?)

Ha, another edit. I see Bionic Commando and Bionic Commando Rearmed are two different games. Begin the down votes in 3, 2, 1…
You're a father, you can't be downvoted.
Darth Vader was a father.
Since Star Wars happend a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, was he histories FIRST absent father? I wonder. Not to mention he was constantly tring to torture and kill his kids any time he came across them.
Wouldn't you, they kept wanting to make out.
Yeah, but if I had a sister that looked like that…
Was there anything better than 1983, Princess Leia in her slave girl outfit for the eyes of an 8 year old boy?
Im Vaders uncle.
what up?
Impossible.
@myworst
that was both disgusting and funny ,
And I don't care about any of 'em, mostly since none of them are exclusive and there are none of real interest to me either, so, meh -_-
Getting Marvel VS Capcom 3
And of course SSFIV Tournament mode
With co-op, now I am interested in Dead Rising 2. Can't wait to check out LP2 and DR2 (now).
Nothing on DMC5…interesting.
Wow. MvsC3 is the only one that sounds interesting.

why do i feel like a few major characters wont be showing up due to US companies like activision or whoever holds rights to marvel characters in video games like iron man and spiderman and such. some will make it most likely. i wouldve preferred if they stayed with the marvel vs capcom 2 art style and not sf4. mostly everyone who was asking for a third installment probably dont care about "new graphics style". I for one dont mind if its like MVC2 as long as the gameplay is there i dont mind if its just an HD upgrade. something about 2D i like.

SFIV and Tastunoku VS Capcom are both 2.5D
3D graphics, 2D gameplay (LBP is also like this)
2D sprites take YEARS (and lots of money) to make.
SFIII cost Capcom A LOT of money and could never make back all that money they spent.
And I disagree, consoles are so advanced that it would be really hard for 2D sprites to look as good as 3D models, unless it's high quality stuff (yeeeeeeeeeeeears of development).
Have you played Tatsunoko VS Capcom? That game looks amazing…
Ironman will be there. He was in the trailer.
As for it going 3D like SFIV, i don't mind it. Tatsunoko vs Capcom is a great game, the models and animations are fantastic. It's one of the best Wii games on the market. Its a must own if you have a Wii. The Marvel Vs Capcom 3 looks like Tatsunoko vs Capcom only in HD and cleaner.
You're telling me a team that can put out the kind of games we have today can't make a few 2D sprites in HD?

i have tatsunoko vs capcom. although its a fun game, it was dumbed down so much it didnt catch my attention enough. I prefer with the 2d stuff because of nostalgia. also, they dont look all muscle bound like in SF4. i prefer their look in mvc2. hell, even with the 3d fighting games i bought or came out right now, i'll pick marvel vs capcom 2 everytime.
Is it really that hard to make 2d sprites in HD? didnt they do that for that street fighter hd game on psn? i dont think that took that long. look at how ryu looked in mvc2 then ryu in SF4. he looks like a battle hungry, steroid infused fighter especially when they do their supers.
@jawknee
sure ironman was there, but wheres spiderman. from what i'm hearing, there will be about 30 characters altogether. Thats crap compared to the marvel vs capcom 2 roster. they better not have shrunk the roster because of space limitations. My team for MVC2 are 2 wolverines and spiderman, its all about speed with that combo.

@johnld,
Imagine drawing and coloring hundreds of HD-quality sprites for each character
This was possible during the ps1 era since they sprites weren't HD and required less sprites per animation.
It also costs were more money to hire lots of Professional artists to do a whole game hand drawn
CAPCOM sure sucks this generation. This list is just a reminder to me…
Gone are the days of quality Resident Evils and Megaman games.
Not a fan of MegaMan 9 or 10? Tsk, tsk.
Forgot about those. You have to admit though, their three best games this gen, 2 of them are straight out of the 1980's and the other one is a Wii exclusive. It's kinda sad.
MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 3!!!
Now we're #*!$ing talking! I think I've now watched the trailer around 20 times on YouTube. LOL. If you haven't seen the trailer (search "Official Marvel Vs. Capcom 3" or else you'll get a bunch of fan-made trailers) yet, I highly recommend checking it out. I hope they keep the art design in the trailer for the game. It's insanely cool looking!
Fate of Two Worlds? Sounds like a story rip-off of MK vs DC.
Funny, I don't see any "new" games on that list…
yeah what gives?
Pump out sequels. THAT's how you make money!
MVC3!!!!!
Capcom please make an Onimusha game
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of the Two Worlds:
Awesome!! loved the trailer!
Bionic Command Rearmed 2: This is the 2D one? I heard good things of that one.
Sengoku BASARA: Samurai Heroes: meh.
Dead Rising 2 Co-op: I'm not caring about this game until they give us the same things the 360 version gonna have.
Super Street Fighter IV Tournament Mode DLC: Oh Sh**! 39.99 was too good to be true of course people are going to want that dlc! way to go capcom @.@!(EDIT:my bad! so in the end its going to be free! )
Lost Planet 2 DLC: This franchise sucks.
MotoGP 09/10 DLC: I don't know nothing about this game.

"The Xbox 360 may be getting the exclusive Dead Rising 2 Prologue…"
That = a no buy. My wallet thanks Capcom.
Then don't. Who cares?
Don't mind Hitchy boy. He gets butt hurt when ever some one says something negative about MS and the his precious Xbox.
Hitch, tell me why again you come to this site?
Why not just reply to everyones post and say "Who cares?" Get creative, or leave. People give oppinions here, much better than the oppinion of "who cares".
the xbox 360 is a pile of putrid, festering bloated old womens' infected herpes scabs. i would rather be drowned in a huge mound of fresh, steaming elephant diarrhea feces than touch that disgusting piece of fat kid ball cheese that they call a controller. (which looks like a childrens toy, btw)
Squishy, I feel like you are holding back. How do you really feel?
It isn't my fault that he made a fanboy comment. And Jawknee you are the ultimate fanboy. All you do is b*tch and moan so please…
And now you can also add squishy to your fanclub for anally rapped fanboys.

Wow that's a lot of crap, the only game I'll look into is Dead Rising 2.
Have you tried the first? I'm going to wait for the reviews. The first was fun for about twenty minutes.
Capcom sure loves the phrase DLC don't they? Imagine how much they are gonna nickle and dime people with MvC3, but most won't even care, they will just be happy the ten year wait is over
I might give Dead Rising 2 a try. I loved the first one.
I would rather have a Capcom vs SNK 3 but oh well.
And am I seeing that right? DLC costumes for SSFIV? Did they not learn from SFIV?
So when id Dead Rising 2 coming btw????
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am here by happy to announce i was wrong, little big planet is not the closest thing to a 2D platformer we will be seeing on the ps3………..
THANK GOD!
earth to developers we do not want crappy shooters, zombie shooters on the PSN store we want unique original titles like flower, fatal exteria HD and bionic comando rearmed!
speak of the devil whens joe danger coming out?
Hmm, glad I didn't expected a lot from Capcom now, so even though I have no interest in any of those I'm not disappointed.
No Devil May Cry 5?! Argh… Capcom, what are you thinking?!
