John-ShepardWe honestly have no idea how Hideo Kojima spends his days but based on his recent Twitter updates , he's one busy guy.
Okay, so first, we get a a bunch of hints that lead us to believe his secret game is a new Zone of the Enders , a long-awaited entry in the critically acclaimed robo-action series. Kojima has also said that this project is actually "taboo" and if it fails, it'll mean bad things for his future (which we find extremely difficult to believe). But now, it appears there's yet another Kojima Productions project, and this one is "confidential." The Twitter update reads:
"I’m going to leave my next project to the side while I focus on the 'Confidential Project.'"
Okay, now what the heck is this ? So the first project is a "challenge" and potentially "taboo" and boasts robots in some capacity, and the second is very, very secret and something that apparently must remain under wraps for a while. We're hoping to probe these murky depths of obscurity when E3 rolls around but in the meantime, one can only guess…so what do you think it might be? And why must it be kept "confidential?" We know he has a small role in overseeing the production of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow but we doubt that's the subject of his update…
Maybe it is a sequel to Policenauts or a Metal Gear (8-bit) remake.
a remake of metal gear and metal gear 2 would be brilliant!

It's probably a wii game where you bake muffins as Revolver Ocelot. At least that's what I heard on a korean web page about Kojima.

Anyway…as for what I think about this confidential project…it's Metal Gear Plasma.

Actually, the taboo game isn't ZOE it is a Metal Gear boy love sim game, which are very popular in Japan. I can see it now, some Snake/Raiden boy-on-boy action. 😉
The confidential game is ZOE.
Whatever it is I highly doubt it's coming to the 360.
If it's Kojima in charge of the game, I'm sure he'll prefer the more powerful PS3. Kojima is the most respected developer IMO this gen. If he decides to go multi-platform and gives a good reason, I'll respect that as well.

Well, I forgot where I read it last week, but Kojima spoke that he'd have to leave the video game world for good if his upcoming taboo'ed title failed(not sure what his interpretation of failed would be though).
But you never know because for some that are of great geniuses, also comes with a touch of madness too
But I'm sure whatever he does, it will be great.
Besides, I'd really hate to hear at a later date, that he self-abused his life with a Ginzo steak knife.
Koji can be a drama queen sometimes, even if he makes a flop he won't have to leave game development.

He's just a very dedicated person (doesn't take BS)
I just think that he probably pushed this new taboo game on Konami and proposed that it will make back profit; and that if it doesn't he'll leave or let Konami do whatever they want (something like that)
So if it's Zone of the Enders 3 we better support him 100%

I tell you Kojima is the master of suspense. This whole thing reminds me of the advertising campain of cloverfield

I did enjoy the film, especially since the trailers didn't ruin it for me
I thoughtthat movie was really well done. Just the right amount of suspense, alien, and shakey camera.
The only thing it had too much of was cameraman voice. Other than that, I also enjoyed the movie.
I can't even fathom it, a new ZoE wouldn't be taboo and everyone is going to assume the confidential one has something to do with Metal Gear. Maybe he will be trying out a new IP like he's wanted to.
Its final fantasy 7 I know it.
It's true, ZoE is not taboo… maybe he's making a Gundam game? Those fail on a regular basis. Could he be heading there?
Nah, he's crazy not insane.
Gundam is where games go to die. Let's hope he stays out of that minefield.

BTW, Peace Walker's looking as ******* awesome as MGS3, wow! seriously, great cast of characters just from the trailers I've seen…
ZOE in next gen console is unimaginable……..
Hideo has impressed me enough that I'll buy just about anything he has something to do with. MGS4 is still my favorite ps3 exclusive overall, Uncharted was amazing but Metal Gear just had so many more intricate details in the story overall. I hope the secret project is the next true MGS sequel after Peacewalker and maybe the final chapter in the MGS saga PS3 exclusivity is also a must! He'll probably need three dual layer Blu Ray discs if he ever does finish the Metal Gear series in one game. I hope he doesn't drag it out, he has mentioned that he has other projects he'd like to work on. (in the past if I'm not mistaken)

whatever it is, i hope its a survival horror game, id love to see his take on the genre.
imagine a survival horror game with the in depth complex story like MGS.
What ever it is, i hope it stays exclusive. Koji's took good to have his work crapped on by storage limitations.
I only played ZOE2. I thought it was cool. Would be neat to see what he can do on the PS3. That mech fight in MGS4(Rex and Ray) was a blast!
Kojima rules, I'll buy it. He could make a game about shoveling poo fun.
I might get shot for the this but I hope his next "confidential project" is not another MGS entry….
Don't get me wrong I would mind one I just think he should let that rest a little while longer especially after Peace Walker….
I would really love to see a brand new IP from Kojima…
The only other Metal Gear Project i want to see is a remake of Metal Gear 1 and 2 on the PSP.
Dance Dance Revo x Metal gear, nah… thats too far but squeenix should really learn from him
