Fans of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 have been waiting quite a long time for an official confirmation of a third entry and we might finally have one.
Capcom held their press-only Captivate event in Hawaii this past week and according to Planet Xbox 360 , two very interesting pieces of information have come to light: first is the apparent unveiling of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 , set to release "in full 1080p" for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Furthermore, it will not be a downloadable title; it should be a full retail release and boast the likes of Wolverine, The Hulk, Storm, Spider-Man and Magneto. But will it retain the traditional 2D look…? Well, not quite. The source claims that Capcom will blend the style we saw in Street Fighter IV with the old-school 2D graphics and best of all, it'll be on display in E3 this June. Secondly, there's the apparent announcement of a sequel to Bionic Commando: Rearmed , a relatively well-received downloadable title from 2009 that must've sold well enough to warrant "Rearmed 2."
So what say you, fighting fans? You psyched that Marvel vs. Capcom 3 should soon become a reality?
This is good. Very good. Capcom will make Bukoo bucks on a MvC 3.
It's funny how no one commented on Bionic Commando, haha.
