Square-Enix is all sorts of interested in feedback from the fans these days. Not only do they want to know why you bought either the PS3 or 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII , they also want to know what PS1 classics are high on your PSN priority list.
After the addition of Final Fantasy IX to the PSN, they've got the Final Fantasy franchise pretty well covered as downloadable gems on the Network. But Squaresoft made other great games back then, too, and according to Siliconera , Square-Enix wants to know: what should be the next digital download classic? They're asking gamers to list their top 3 picks at the publisher's Twitter page and thus far, it seems that the most common titles are Chrono Cross , Dragon Warrior VII , and Legend of Mana . Hardly surprising, and I think everyone would agree that CC absolutely needs to join the FFs on the Network. As for DWVII, I never got into that one (DWVIII on the PS2 was infinitely better, IMO) and I really loved Legend of Mana , despite its flaws. If that one ends up winning for some reason, you should download it if only to ogle the gorgeous hand-drawn artistry; something you really don't see anymore.
So, what do you want? Vagrant Story , right? Yeah, me too. Don't care so much about Brave Fencer Musashi or Threads of Fate …but what about Einhander ?
has the US not got Vagrant Story?
I would quite like it if they re-released both the Parasite Eve games, i never got to play the 1st one, which has always bothered me, becuase i have heard good things, the same goes for Chrono Cross.
Already got Vagrant Story here in Australia.
Wow!! I can't believe we got something before the US. This is indeed a rare occurance. Eyepet is another we got before US, since Aus lies within the European release time frame.
Would love to see Chrono Cross. Never played it, but have an emulated version on my PC of the SNES version, Chrono Trigger.
My personal favourite is without doubt Secret of Mana. Followed by FF VII and Mass Effect.
I am one of the few older gamers who still loves their turn-based gaming styles. I will always prefer a good strategy over twitchy trigger fingers. MW2 just annoys the hell out of me online. No strategy, all luck.
I would love to see Xenogears, Vagrant story and Chrono trigger 1 and 2
Errr guys, Vagrant Story is already in the EU store. So it's only a matter of time the US store gets it.
I never got to play DWVIII. Actually, I missed a bunch of ps2 games because I bought the ps3 so early and traded the 2 in for some credit thinking that all ps3's were BC. It was like the second week the new models were available that didn't offer it. I think they should concentrate on getting ps2 games to run in emulation on my rig. Parasite Eve was great, but I don't think I'd play it again.
XENOGEARS OMG XENOGEARS PLZPLZPLZPLZLETITBEXENOGEARS
….okay, that was a bit over the top! But yeah, I want Xenogears, Parasite Eve, and Chrono Cross. Gimme, Square Enix!
Xenogears, Parasite Eve, the original Chrono Trigger of Nintendo doesn't have a lock on it, and Brave Fencer Musashi aka Little Turd

Nintendo dosent have a lock on Chrono Trigger, it was released along side Final Fantasy IV in Final Fantasy Chronicles for PS1.
Parasite Eve 1 and 2 should go up there, that would be awesome.I wish they were asking about the SNES era, some good games there. Chrono Cross was terrible, I hated it. I can't see it as a sequel when it looked and felt nothing like Chrono Trigger. If it wasn't considered a sequel, then I may have liked it more. I wouldn't mind trying the Chocobo Dungeon games, that would be cool. The Bushio Blade games on the PS1 were fun, did they put those on the PSN yet? Also, has anyone ever played Soukaigi? It was never released in the US, but slap some subtitles on it and translate the menus and stuff into English and I would buy it, that game looked great. Ehrgeiz was great, I still have a gamesave of the RPG extra from that game. Cyverorg had some GREAT music and the gameplay was alright too, for a PS1 game. That's just a few PS1 games that some people MAY or MAY NOT recognize, apart from Another Mind, that was pretty weird, lol.
Parasite Eve,People Ha! SquareSoft those were the good ol' days
yeah man, remember when square was awesome and every game they made was incredible? ah, how time flies. what a difference 10-15 years makes.
Still got my Parasite Eve discs 🙂 Never got to play part 2 though 🙁
Oh no you dinnnn't!
Seriously, a picture of Legend of Mana! (oh god, that game was crazy…..). I can't say it was great, can't say it was bad….it was like walking through a water color painting but not sure if I was having fun or not (but the art was amazing)
I'd say give us Brave Fencer Musashi!
secret of mana was awesome
Oh crap!
Forget Brave Fencer Musashi, give us Einhander!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now!
i think i speak for everyone when i say the next squaresoft classic to go digital is
rad racer
What 'bout Chocobo Racing? 😀
Or Ergheiz?
I actually liked Ergheiz. Sure it was a lousy game, but I got to run around an kill everything as Sephiroth. At that age, that was pretty much all I was concerned with! ^_^
Parasite Eve!
I would go for Chrono Cross and Xenogears.
Maybe they should start making ps2 classics!! FFX FTW
XENOGEARS FOR SURE! I think everyone should experience that game.
That game hit me harder emotionally than FF 7.
IMO, if Square and monolith soft stuck together and continued the Xenogears series it might have given the Final Fantasy series a run for it money.

I would love the opportunity to play it again without having to pay $60+ for it. Come on Square put it out for the PSN with a tasty $9.99 price tag.
Oh man, I agree. Xenogears got overlooked alot because it came out the same year as FFVII. But hoooo-boy…. what a gem! The story in that one is AMAZING. EVERYONE needs to experience it. If you've never played it, find a way to try it. It was AMAZING. Simply AMAZING. In fact, the word "amazing" doesn't even do it justice.
I want to see Chrono Cross, I played a little of it but never got into it and I'd like to try again without the annoyance of emulation. (I hate playing on my PC and my xbox1 has issues running it)
I know SE didn't make this one but I'd like to see Legend of Legaia too.

All I want is Einhander in the American PS Store. I still have all of my original PlayStation Square games except for Einhander. Let a friend borrow it and never got it back. Bastard.
Yes, that game's so good…
Miss those type of space shooters (2D, not 3D)
Seriously fun/challenging game
The co-op was just sick!
'Dragon Warrior VII' is definitely at the top of my list.
Not because I don't own it, but because I bought my copy nearly a decade ago when it was brand new, it's one of only half a dozen or so PS1 games I still play, I'm afraid I may wear out one or both of the discs, and it's relatively expensive to buy a new copy online. So a digital backup would be much appreciated.
I don't what else there is. Something I missed out on in the good old PS1 days, I'm sure.
Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Vagrant Story, FF4, Legend of Mana, Romancing Saga (the SNES ones, not the crappy PS2 one) … these are some of the best memories of my youths dated almost 15 years back.
With that said, at the same time, I have to say it is pretty pathetic for SE — wut they have RIGHT NOW is their past legacy and past glory ONLY, they are no longer able to achieve any glory or make any legend now. all they are able to do nowadays is sucking more money based on their TALENTED ANCESTOR to survive, to remind them that how bad they are doing right now. Greed, shallowness and utilitarianism is wut they have right now, and the top sinner is Wada, nothing more to be said.

Chrono Trigger
Secret of Mana
Seiken Densetsu 3 Would be Secret of Mana 2, but we never got it, it is my favorite SNES game of all time. It has a huge fan base even though it was never officially in English. Why not now? It'd take some man hours to get an official English translation, but I think it would be worth it. I'm definitely one person who would buy it in a heartbeat, and I'm sure there's many others.
Xenogears!!!!!!!
Seconded
Thirdeded-ed
fourthed
I played like an hour of Xenogears and was unsure, was there ever supposed to be any connection between Xenogears and Xenosaga? Same world but much later or somethin?
Xenogears as hard to get into at first, but I hear it gets REALLY good as you go on
A game with a lot of twists and very amazing/scenic moments from what I remember
Definitely a must get when it comes out for PSN
For me, final fantasy vii was hard to get in too, because Midgar wasn't much fun, and I HATED the market song. But once Midgar is over, it's a lot of fun.

Trust me when you experience the whole game, it will leave you with something you won't ever forget…
Xenogears has a slow start trying to figure out where to go in Lahan (the first villiage) but once you leave, it picks up very quickly. I would say when not knowing what to do, it might take you 2-3 hours to get going. When I replay it now, since I know exactly what to do, I get to the good stuff in like a half hour.
Like shadowscorpio said, it's an experience you will never forget. I cannot rave about this game more. If you loved FFVII, then there is absolutely no way in hell or heaven you won't like this incredible title.
1. Final Fantasy 6
2/3. Chrono Trigger & or Xenogears & or Vigrant Story
3D Worldrunner!
that game was awesome back in the day
It would work well with the 3D TVs.
Parasite Eve and Chrono Cross. I miss PE and I have yet to play Chrono Cross and am in love with Trigger so I NEED to play it. Sadly a friend recently lent me his copy of Cross and it did not work as he warned me.
Xenosaga
Vagrant Story
Parasite eve
Chrono cross
Final Fantasy VI & Final Fantasy Tactics (which isn't on the EU store)
Obviously DQVIII is better than DQVII, but I'd still like to see VII on the PSN.
xenogears please!!! also, secret of mana would be nice, i know its an old nintendo title but id loooooooove to play that on my psp
Threads Of Fate!!!!
final fantasy 6, xenogears and brave fencer musashi
It MUST be Xenogears. If you've never played it, you've missed out on one of the greatest Square titles of all time. It was an incredible experience with a very in depth story line. Possibly the greatest. It got overlooked big time since it came out the same year as FFVII.
GET IT NOW!!!!!
Also, I really enjoyed Dragon Warrior VII.
