Ben-DutkaWith so many fantastic PlayStation 3 exclusives, we guessed the latest weekly poll would be pretty damn close…and so it was. We know it was difficult. 😉
Despite the intensely stiff competition, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves squeaked by God of War III , which was only about 75 votes behind. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was a solid third and it was all jammed up after that. Obviously, this was a three-horse race, although we had hoped for a better showing from Heavy Rain and Killzone 2 , two of our personal favorites. But considering the inherent quality of the games in this poll, we don't doubt that the decision was tough for many of you, and we're also willing to bet you've played many of the available titles. Then again, if you're a little behind and you need a good buyer's guide, this list is loaded with "must-plays." By the way, a good number voted for "Some Other Game" and we'd be interested to know what that game was…and bear in min that we're talking about PS3 exclusives , you're not allowed to say Grand Theft Auto IV or Assassin's Creed II , or something. We didn't put Flower on there but we know a lot of you love it…
As for this week's poll, we wanna know more about your gaming tastes. We'll assume that, as a PSXE reader, you already have a PlayStation 3; that being said, we're asking those who only have a PS3: if you had the choice of a second gaming system, what would you rather have? The Xbox 360, Wii, or a gaming-quality PC? Or are you happy with your PS3?

infamous is still by far my favorite, though that will probably change once mod nation racers comes out.

I had a Wii, Have a 360, and as of last week I Have an Asus with an Intel core i7 Processor Yeah the new one, only grip does not come with a BD drive I found that odd. I'm covered
Nice. That's the same processor my Vaio has. It being a Sony Vaio, it came with a BD drive.

I only have a PS3 but I intend to get everything, Wii for the party games, 360 for the exclusives and quality PC for games like Crysis 2.
a gaming pc hands down, because nothing the the 360 will remain on the 360. it will always find its way to pc.

My fav exclusives are Heavy Rain, Siren Blood Curse and Resistance 2, then Uncharted 2.
As for owning another console. I just don't feel like i need to i have 20 PS3 games, and around 60 PS1-PS2 games combined wiith my PS3's backwards compatibility i think i am pretty sorted 😀
Also i use my PS3 to play music, i have tons of videos on there (and by that i don't mean illeagal downloads – you'll be suprised what you can get on public domain.). and then theres the DVD uspcaler which is far better than any other i have tested, i feel i have no need for Blu-ray. All in all the PS3 is just the ultimate entertainment system.
i had never tried the upscaling option on dvds, watched the Cars dvd the other day and was impressed at how good a dvd can still look on the ps3 , its awsome
UC2 IS overrated

"Overrated" is such an odd term. Why can't people just say "I didn't like it as much as most other people?"
Example: I don't like the Beatles as much as most other people, but I can't necessarily say they're "overrated" since I'm just one dude, and my taste doesn't establish any kind of definite qualitative standards.

Not interested in the xbox 360, my son went through 4 of them. The last was an arcade with the new whatever chip. Lasted about 50 days. Honestly, their exclusives don't interest me at all. I've never had any interest in the Wii, it's kiddie games only and I'm not into that. As far as a gaming quality PC, yeah, that would be nice. For about 3 months until some new games came out and I had to spend as much as a new PS3 cost to upgrade it.
Nope, pretty happy with my PS3. And my PS2.

LOOOOOOVED valkyria chronicles! what an awsome rpg/strategy game, and the whole "water painting" rendering engine is a thing of beauty!
As for the poll, i pretty much could only pick xbox 360 , as thats the only one in the list i dont have, i got a really good gaming pc, a Wii, 2 psps, ps3, ps2, gamecube, so i would only be missing an xbox360 but i simply REFUSE to spend money until they stop breaknng down every 2 months, besides, 90% of the xbox titles end up in PC, and so far my pc dosnt even sweat runnning mass effect 2 and dragon age maxed out so there is little point in me buying an xbox just to play a title or 2 …
I gotta PS3 & 360. If I had only a PS3, I would still get a 360 regardless. The Wii is good but not enough games.
I just HATE UPGRADING PCs, I don't have the time for that, there's always some new graphics chip or you need to update your sound card or feed your intel with oil and lubricate your processor. Plus, get the new Windows 7 or wait XP is better for this game so uninstall Windows Vista and go back to 98 bla bla blah!!!!!! I remember when I jumped onto the PC bandwagon back in 2001 thinking PCs are faaaar better than consoles, till I played FIFA 2003 and realized the players DIDN'T have their names appearing on their shirts because my graphics chip was outdated, wow!

Exactly! I told this PC maniac guy that I bought a new slim PS3 since my 60GB launch PS3 had died, and he practically told me I was stupid because I could have bought a motherboard for $350…and that it was 'cheaper'? What about all the other crap I have to add to that and THEN upgrading it like every month? Not to mention he was saying I could emulate PS3 games on it, and he's never heard of Blu-ray. I actually thought the guy was pretty smart until he started trying to get me to do that…lol.
Death if that situation really did happen than you don't know a PC maniac, you know a fool.
A top of the line motherboard/processor combo will run you a couple hundred dollars and you don't have to upgrade every month, more like every 5 years.
I'm a PC Gamer and it's cheaper than being a console gamer when you factor in the cost of games and accessories.
I wish Heavy Rain won, it was a game of it's own. Oh well, it's still an awesome game. Remember: What is popular isn't always right, lol. But it can be sometimes 😉
I chose the Gaming PC, but mostly not for gaming, more for just having a better PC, lol. Streaming media to my PS3 and converting videos to work on the PS3 would be a snap, and I'll have a great computer to do whatever I want on. I'm using a pretty old computer now, so having a pretty powerful computer would be kick ass, lol.
UC2 is one of my favorites as well as VC. I can't stop playing resonance of fate 90hrs in the game so far very addictive.

@Arvis thanks dude I like all the character Vashyron is funny Nolan North did a good job as his voice love him in UC2.
Have 2 PS3's in the house, 2 PC's, and one 360 so for the most part, I am set on this end.
The 360 is pretty much a glorified DVD player, as I refuse to pay for the overhyped Xbox Live. The only game I want on that system is Mass Effect 2, and I am going to hold out and see if the series comes to the PS3.
The PS3's however are on daily and used by the entire family. We have roughly 35 games on discs, and dozens of PSN titles. Sony has my money.
There is a couple PC's in the house, but they are for work and I will keep it that way. I do not want to associate my job and hobby around the same device.

Really, you can't go wrong with any of those exclusives but Uncharted got my vote. Mainly because it's one of best stories I've ever seem in a game.
I'd take a wii over a xbox because at least the wii won't tear up hours later. I don't really pc game so that makes it easier for me.
MGS4, GOW3, Demon's Souls, WKC, inFamous, Heavy Rain, LBP, and Last Guardian, etc. are all my favorites. not in any specific order, i must have them all. 😀

This poll should be no contest really. Especially if you want to take Sony's line as a good gaming HTPC truly "only does everything."
Ultimately PC & PS3 is the absolute best combination for serious gaming. For all the best exclusives, graphics, indie games, online experience (Steam/PSN), etc.
Uncharted 2 got my vote, I really, really liked God of War III, and every other PS3 exclusive I've played for that matter, I just like Uncharted 2 a bit more, it was just so, how can I put it, impacting.
As for this week's poll, I'm going to go for, I'm happy with my PS3, I really don't want a 360 in my room.
First off, it goes against all my principles, second, the whole design, look and especially controllers do not suit me at all.
I don't need a gaming PC either, if I want to play games I have my PS3, I like that controller in my hand(just that controller, no other ones, my hands are faithful to one love).
I don't really think I need to go into a Wii argument, why would you even want that, I want it even less than a 360, after my PS3 I can't really stand graphics below PS1 level… and I don't need to hear no but Wii does have games with decent graphs, don't care, I'm ignorant at that point, sorry.

That was a tough top 5 because KZ2, and inFamous both could have taken the 5 spot for me! If LBP didnt constantly change and didnt have the fun factor it does, KZ2 would probably take that spot though.
That list actually almost makes up my fav. games of all time, but that list is for another day…
i think its overrated because i saw numerous 'best game ever' quotes from reviews etc when clearly it is not.
"when clearly it is not…" TO YOU. The people who are saying it is probably don't share that sentiment and are "rating" it exactly as high as they feel the game deserves.

I dont know if you have ever played it or not rapture. But given everything it does in all areas it is the best game i have ever played.
Its the best looking game on console, its a graphical powerhouse, the single player is the best ive ever played, the story is engaging, the melee system compliments the shooting, and the cover system (considering u use it right) it probably the best ive played with. The characters seem like real genuine people, and the voice acting was phenomenol.
The game was not overrated by any means. Some people do have a place in their heart for some of the games they grew up with, but those no doubt that UC2 surpasses almost any game through the development process.
