Lead And Gold Hits Euro PSN April 22

If you enjoy some simple multiplayer jaunts from time to time – perhaps you picked up Battlefield 1943 off the PSN last year – you ought to be intrigued by Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West .

Today, Paradox Interactive has announced that their western-themed online multiplayer shooter will release on the Network on April 22 in Europe, "with the rest of the world soon to follow." Developed by Fatshark, this one will boast plenty of flying bullets provided by multiple character classes and a "unique synergy system" that will require you to fight as a team. There will also be six familiar modes, so you'll be able to dive in immediately. Said Frederik Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive:

"We’re thrilled to have Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West as our console debut. Fatshark created a unique experience in the familiar world of multiplayer shooters, and we are excited to bring it to the PlayStation Network."

Featuring four distinct characters, a diverse level-up system, plenty of modes and options and that singular synergy system, Lead and Gold should be an accessible blast from start to finish. As for the currently unknown American launch date, we'll just assume it'll show up maybe a week or two after the European date, so maybe the very end of April or the start of May. This one could be oodles of Western-oriented gun-slingin' fun.

The PC version comes out today so I'll probably pick it up when I get home from work tonight. Being only $13.50 makes it a good impulse buy as well. It may not be Red Dead Redemption but westerns are hard to come by. Sure wish Lucasarts would make a sequel or remake of Outlaws. A remake of Gunsmoke would be nice too.

Hey Geobaldi,
Is that PC version on disc or is it just a DL too?
And if on disc, where's it at for $13.50?

It's just a download also. Was priced on Steam for $13.50 before it was released earlier tonight. Now it's back to $15.

Nice to see more western oriented games, but I'll have to save my money if I want red dead redemption when it comes out. I think I'd rather have the whole experience.

It looks a lot like Team Fortress 2 with a western leaning. Might be good but I'll save my dough for Red Dead.

ohhhhhhhhh, another good game online only.
why do developers do this to themselves?
warhawk, MAG, APB, DC universe and co would be such cool games with a single player mode.
especially APB, finally a game that can give GTA a run for its money, and maybe teach it a thing or two!
this reminds me of a old classic western shooter i use to play on coffee arcade when i was a kid, so many good memories.
now that would be a really cool PSN game, a western styled arcade shooter.
and another game that should come to PSN, also from coffee arcade catapult.
it was so funny, you hurl cats out of a catapult into a wall with horns and other deadly objects, the more blood you spill the more points you earn.
BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
