Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo Ships With Nier?

What we're hearing doesn't really make much sense, but it sort of gels with past news.

A little while ago, Square-Enix vaguely mentioned the idea of a Final Fantasy VII remake at their official Twitter page; after which, the place exploded. Then, S-E president Yoichi Wada finally confirmed they'd "consider" a remake of the beloved role-playing classic, which is the best news we've heard yet. But perhaps it's all a facade; perhaps they haven't been gauging interest and teasing us…maybe they already have a certain project going, and we'll get a sneak peek with the upcoming Nier . The latter is an action/RPG that, as far as we know, has absolutely nothing to do with the Final Fantasy universe. However, according to an inside source, who reminds everyone that he's not "confirming anything," it seems there will be a big surprise in the Nier package. Here's what he said:

"People will probably want Nier, if only because of the FFVII stuff."

I had to ask for some sort of clarification but the response was a little vague:

"I can't be sure myself. They won't really tell us, but it has something to do with FFVII. Don't know if it'll be playable or not."

Many years back, we saw a tech demo that really got everyone talking, and then we got the movie, "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children." Some time has passed since then and all of a sudden, they want to drop a glimpse of something related to FFVII…into Nier ? Why? Wouldn't it make more sense to put it into Final Fantasy Versus XIII , or something? Or are we only talking about another tease? Or bad information? No answers anywhere right now but even so, it's a little exciting…
