Sony delayed the PlayStation Move until fall because they wanted to have more compatible software available when the new motion-sensing technology launched.
Well, they are indeed preparing a relatively large lineup that will support the Move, and SCEA CEO Jack Tretton has said that Sony is currently working on 20 first-party compatible titles and no less than 36 third-party publishers will also have games for Move this autumn. However, perhaps you're wondering what games are already on the list… According to PS3Center , the list already includes games like EA Sports Active 2.0 , Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 , Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition , Flower , The Shoot , LittleBigPlanet , SOCOM 4 , Sports Champion , Eccentric Slider , Motion Fighter , and more. We also see the cutesy little Eye Pet on there, which was initially supposed to arrive last year but clearly, they wanted to wait until Move got…erm…moving. We know there are many of you who remain skeptical but perhaps we just need to get it in our hands; seeing isn't always believing, especially in this industry. We often need to interact before judging.
Then you've got the 3D-compatible list, which may be very large in the near future. We've heard that many game makers are planning to produce a 3D patch for existing titles, and of course, more compatible games will be announced in the future. Which are you more interested in: Move or 3D?
I'm just curious where the Wii fit competitor is. If they come out with one of those, I may actually but it.
Motion Fighter looks extremely interesting for the Move. It's gonna be alot of fun.
I've read GT5 might support Move as well.
I hope not. That would probably delay it until sometime in 2011.
Release GT NOW!!! Implement MOVE patch later!
I hope it doesn't have Move support. The only clever thing is the headtracking to look at your rear mirrors. Otherwise, I don't want hold my hands up to pretend to drive like Natal. I'm sure the hardcore gamers that is buying GT5 will have or will get a proper wheel.
Nah. Kaz is serious about the driving experience. The best move can do for GT5 is probably simple menu selections or maybe photo mode.
yes godsman, we defo will. i may not be the best driver but im still not old enough to drive, but im learning because i insanely love cars. and hey, women can be great, but after my series of recent let downs… who am i kiding, i'm just going through a rocky relationship time, 😀
but hell yeah, im getting a wheel, and gonna practice clipping those apexes.
Move. It looks like it might tickle my fun nerve. Maybe something like Move will encourage developers to make more split-screen games, as I've read people complain that this generation lacks.
Splitscreen and cheats.
Well i know for a fact that i will be getting it within the first week of release.
I still think it looks kinda gimmicky.
My wallet says I'd be more interested in Move than 3D. There's way too much money involved with getting set up for 3D.
agreed^^^
You're right. Especially since 3D enabled TVs are priced well and come with free glasses.
wooooooooooooshh!!!
Still don't know why they didn't make the sub-controller, motion controlled so all you need is what's in the picture. I think it'll add to what developers could do, if you can move with analog stick and use both hand for motion. The move fighter you need two moves than a sub-controller for socom, so you'll need three controller, yes you can use use DS3 but that doesn't feel right.
As long as the motion controls are implemented properly in new games and integrated correctly in established games then let the list grow.
I am intrigued by Sonys strategy into motion controls. Think about it, The Wii has the market and has introduced the concept of motion controls yet it is not an HD console. Eventually when Wii owners consider upgrading they may wish to do so to a console with a much more advanced yet familiar control scheme of which Sony has created with the MOVE.
I also eventually expect the PS2 user base to awaken and upgrade to a now much more accessible PS3. Lets look at the numbers again when that happens.
Just because Sony puts out a MiiToo, doesn't mean I'll run out and buy it. To be honest, I haven't seen anything that hasn't already been done on the Wii for years already.
"Which are you more interested in: Move or 3D?"
Answer: Good games.
I personally think they got the good games covered anyway. Seriously though, I honestly can't keep up with the current line-up of games, and the ones that are yet to be released.
How about Uncharted 2? It would be fun playing it with the Move.
FYI, here's a new video showing off a few thing's on how else the Move can be used too.
http://www.ps3center.net/news/4421/engadget-live-shows-off-new-ps-move-capabilities/
nice video saint, thanks for that.
Just goes to show off how 2d the wii is and how awesomely 3d the move is. allows you to go forward and backwards i mean not the 3d vision that everyone is going nuts over right now
that's pretty tight dude, just boosts my expacations a bit more.
That's over 50 titles slated for Playstation Move's launch. If they stick to actually pushing that many titles during the 4th quarter of 2010, that will be the biggest line up available for a Sony product launch..ever.
We all remember how many games were available when the PS3 came out right? It's like they're pushing "Move" as its own entity, pretty cool.
Here's to fun games *raises beer mug up*
I swear when I saw this being used with SOCOM 4 at GDC Live stream…wow – it was just amazing. Amazing sensibility – you would honestly have so much fun with that thing.
But then I think SOCOM 4 is going to come down those with frag-mouses, Dualshock 3's/SIXAXIS's, and MOVEs.
It would be hella interesting to see.
Unchartered 2 would be great with the Move.
I'm looking forward to this more than 3D just cause the price for 3D is really expensive and my wallet is saying sorry no thank you, plus 3D for me is not interesting due to my motion sickness can u see me playing 3D w/move and having to puke every 2 mins, wouldn't get much playing in at all.
You could pull a Monty Python trick and have someone hold a bucket for you. Just don't eat that last mint.
It's Uncharted. Not Unchartered. 🙂
that would be cool, any starwars game with lighsaber combat on it (maybe online with other people that have it ) , that would be amazing…im not asking too much am i? one can dream….
I'm totally for the Move. Whether it flops or not, to me, really doesn't matter. The initial investment is about what I paid for Guitar Hero World Tour with a wireless fake-tar back in the day. If Move along with its bundled games are all I end up using for and put that much to use for 3-5months, I'll pretty much be happy.
And I'm totally against the 3DTV stuff. *Maybe in a few years from now, I'll revisit this idea.

move is going to be a lot of fun for me, I can't wait. I'm seriously looking forward to a sword and shield rpg that I can use these on. that will make my roleplaying all the better. I loves me some rpg goodness.
Probably be an action/adventure than an rpg tbh lol. But both ideas sound great anyways..
what do these 2 have in common?
both will epically fail if the price is not cheap.
the "under 100 bucks" remark at GDC certainly did not strike confidence in me, especially since thats only for one controller most games need either 2 or 1 and a nunchuck which is a extra 40.
now most of moves games are for multiplayer so 100 * 4 will give you 400 bucks for 4 controllers, + 160 bucks for the 4 nunchucks.
so now thats 460 bucks thats more than my freaking slim plus 2 years extended warranty cost me!
same with 3D TVs, im one of its biggest fans i love playing games in 3D BFBC2 and metro 2033 are absolutely fu**ing amazing in 3D.
but problem again is most people just spent 2K+ on their TVs and well im sure im not the only one who cant afford to fork out 2K every 2 years for a new TV.
plus the recent prices for the US samsung released certainly did not strike confidence in me.
1800 bucks for a 32 inch, and thats USD take that over to AUD thats over 2 grand!
3D TVs priced the same as todays LCDs my a$$
thats what samsung said at CES this year, and here they are pricing them 700 bucks more.
how is 1800 bucks the same as 1100 bucks????????
The $100 is for the PS3Eye camera, the Move, and a game… I don't know if the subcontroller is inlcuded in that. It is not just for the Move.
The extra Move controllers will be cheaper, as will the subcontrollers.
Yes, it will be expensive to get more than one controller set up. Most people will need at least two Moves and subcontrollers anyway.
Still, it will be cheaper than buying a Wiimote + nunchuck + Wii motion plus for roughly $80.
MOVE. Ive only had my hdtv for a year
@Jawknee Sorry for the misspelling, I was like commenting @ 1am EST here…
@tes37 LOL I will make sure I don't LOL

no problem. i wasn't trying to put you on the spot. I spelled it that way longest time until some one pointed it out to me.
I will be saying this for the 11th time (Insert Highlander's comment below) SoulCalibur, Dynasty Warriors with move, FTW
Hmmm I'd like to see some versus gameplay, if it runs somewhat like Crisis Core then count it in.
omg houw could i have forgotten DW????? that would be awsome too, a distant second to cutting people up with lightsabers but uber sweet nonetheless ; )
also, any action game would be good, kratos with move support anyone?
My interest in the Move depends entirely on the games. Come out with something that makes me say "I gotta get this" and maybe I'll pick it up. It would probably need to be a mature, AAA game designed from the ground up to take full advantage of the motion controller. And it would have to be implemented really, really well – providing a gameplay experience that couldn't possibly be achieved using the DS3 controller. I don't want something that leaves me thinking that I could play it just as well, maybe better, with the regular controller.
3-D? No.
Move definately over 3-D. I really don't see the fascination with 3-D, I'd rather watch stuff in 2-D HD then 3-D anything to be honest :/
Dunno why, but every time there is Move news now I get excited for it even more. I know it's like a 3-D Wii Mote pretty much, but this will be for th PS3! And have much more interesting titles like SOCOM 4 already shown to come out with full compatibility for the Move.
PS move.
Neither. But if they make something I'm interested in for Move I'd check it out.
Move does intrigue me quite a bit, seeing as it is really precise and looks promising, I still won't get it until I see something that would really pull me in with, not just great graphics, but also great immersion in the form or gameplay and of course storyline.
I'd have to say the "Move" because my wallet's on a weight-watchers diet for the moment, and it won't even let me say that other non-2D word right now.
If I had lots of money to just spend of stuff I really don't need but would really enjoy having, I'd get one of the 3-D Televisions that don't have to have the glasses AND the PSMove. Imagine fighting stuff off while it looks like it's actually coming out at you!!! If only I were a millionaire, lol.
Socom with the MOVE controls looks promising to me. I'll probably get it when alot of good games are out that supports it and when i'm done with gow3, heavyrain and when gt5 is finally released.
