According to an update by Rockstar Games , "a last-minute game submission request from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe" has forced the company to delay the new GTA episodes for a couple weeks. Now, they're set to come to the PS3 and PC on April 13 in North America and April 16 in Europe. The two downloadable episodes from The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony will be available on the same dates, and if you're wondering why a European request has caused a delay for North American gamers, it's because Rockstar wanted to stick to a worldwide simultaneous release. As for the common question, "Why is content being edited just for the European release?," they've got an answer to that, too:
"There are different regional requirements for content – whether dictated by ratings boards like the ESRB and BBFC or by SCEE – this is pretty standard in the world of entertainment."
Yeah, you should've seen that one coming. The only question left is, what exactly did they remove? What will our European friends be missing? Well, either way, nobody will be getting Episodes from Liberty City – or those two DLC packs – this month. So you'll just have to find a way to deal with it.
Quite too late for most of us to care.
I agree and Rockstar can thank M$ for that.
i must be one of the few that does still care… and i know ben still cares too… i'm upset at the delay but, i still look forward to playing it…
it's like the PS3 people are getting GTAV, being that it's been so long from the original games release… it feels like a brand new experience to me… i can't wait to tear up the streets of liberty city from a couple of different perspectives :D…
i felt GTA4 was overrated its a 8 to me but gets old
still yet to replay after the pach do to this

ill still give it a play through. no matter what ill always be a GTA fan! my birthday is april 12th i guess my ol' lady will have to get me this on the 13th.

i'm confused, i thought episodes was the two dlc packs and then some? i thought it was just updated with more music, some of which was exclusive. i remember the good ol days of gta III hearing several royce da 5'9" tracks after stealing a car. reppin the 313!

As far as the edit goes, perhaps Gay Tony WASN'T gay enough for Europe…..maybe they wanted him to be a little more fabulous.

These episodes should be priced around $30 because seriously, there is no real reason to go purchase a game that should have been offered to PS3 owners from the get go. I will still be getting this because I love GTA and single players oriented games, but Rockstar shouldn't have waited this long nor should they be delaying a 'delayed' release.
I wanted them when they first released but that want has fizzled out.
Didn't Kojima say a delay after an announced release date is the greatest sin a developer can commit or something to that effect?

argh, fanfuckingtastic. not only is it delayed, but aus is getting another damn editing of it. WHY. it was released here before fine for christs sake.
I hope they cut the penis scene, we in Sony userbase don't have interest on see old man's penises.
the xbots enjoyed that scene quite a bit
only question left is is possible for a video game to come out without ever being delayed?
it never use to be this bad, but ever since last year its almost every single bloody day were getting news of a game being delayed.

Sorry, this is one reason I hadn't gotten gtaiv in the first place. I'm sick of companies ripping me off by giving me half a game at release. Then they doubled the damage by not even giving us the rest of it until after xbots were tired of playing it.
I'm done supporting companies for screwing me over and treating me like a second rate customer.
There's no way on earth GTAIV was "incomplete." Every piece of extra content that came later was a true-blue add-on that had absolutely nothing to do with the original story in GTAIV, and it was obviously never intended for it.
This idea that ALL DLC is somehow just a trick for gamers, that it was ALL supposed to be in the original game, needs to die. It's going to hurt the industry if people keep thinking this way; it's NOT true. It has been known to happen, yes, but let's not over-generalize and make it so nobody ever buys any DLC again.
That wouldn't be a good thing.

True Ben, I've been a little soured toward this game since they gave all this to M$ early. Just irritates me, the game was multi-plat and yet they got this content a long time ago. Just sour grapes I guess.
That and the dlc that is constantly released for games at release is really annoying to me, sour grapes towards dlc also I guess.

So this will mean I'll have to get a copy from the States so I wont have to worry about missing content in the game ? FFS I should have just kept my 360 copy and not traded it in in the first place!

The longer they delay it's release the longer they're delaying the inevitable price drop. Sorry, but the game is under 30 on Amazon, I'm certainly not about to buy this for 40.
I'm still looking forward to playing this for the first time, but I have to ask:
These games have been out for some time and NOW they want to make changes? What did the censors miss over the last 8 months (or so) since it was a M$ exclusive???

this is day 1 purchase for me, been waiting so long for it.
hahaha gta 4 multiplayer for the ps3 still blows hard i mean i cannot join friends invite them and if i do invite it takes 10 minutes to get to them so hey they should be thinking about a patch for all that crap that's still in the multiplayer also the frame rate is horrible for the ps3 version.
If it was an Uncharted 2 update DLC or Killzone 2 of any other PS3 exclusive no one would be moaning im sure. Is this not a case of sour grapes ? Ok it has come out ages later but come on it gives you extra time to spend playing extra levels in your fave games in the past. Ok if you didn't like GTA4 then don't buy this and move on. For thos that did love it for me when I had the 360 version it was £30 for the DLC to me that was £15 a new game that lasted 8-10 hours (do not new games last this longer even less if your a MW2/BC2 fan)?
