If you visit the game's official site , you will see that Guerrilla will be handing out no less than 400 DLC voucher codes via Twitter. They'll dole out 100 codes for each available KZ2 map pack, plus another 100 for the full DLC bundle, which features all map packs and extra multiplayer weapons. All you have to do is have your PSN Online ID handy, head to their Twitter page, and type, "@killzonedotcom Happy Birthday Killzone 2! [your PSN Online ID], [your country]." That's it. You have to be 18 years of age or older and reside in one of the listed countries, and the message must be in English. This promotion starts on February 26 (that's today, peeps) and runs through May 3; there can be only one entry per person and winners "will be drawn randomly from all eligible entries received during the Promotional Period." This drawing will take place 30 days after the promotion ends on May 3 and winners must claim their prize within 10 days of being notified, and their prizes – the download codes, obviously – will be sent via e-mail. That's all there is to it, so if you've been meaning to grab any of the DLC for this game over the past year, now's the time to try for a freebie.
Yep, one year ago, basically to the day; Killzone 2 launched and showed everyone what FPSs could and should be like. The only question now is, will Killzone 3 really be ready for the 2010 holiday season…?

Addational multiplayer weapons? I bought these packs and I didn't see any new weapons. Well I guess I'll be on Killzone 2 tonight.
I think the Boltgun and the Flamer could be picked up, each in one of the maps of the last DLC.
No new weapons in the classes.
No new weapons to the game, only to multiplayer.

It really does . That said , even a year later , the K2 community is still strong and the graphics are right up there with the best .

I know this is more or less another way to get people playing more KZ2 online, but shouldn't they also do something for the fans that actually went out and bought the maps with money? Give them a free downloadable weapon or something for having actually supported the game over the year?
I concur. Give us some weapons for the single player mode as well. Need more pistols.
Or how about some new single player levels like they are doing with ACII? Although I guess if they are already working on KZ3 then there isn't much point.
I do like your weapon idea though, it gave me a thought for my proposal of something for the loyal fans. If you've paid for all the DLC, maybe Guerrilla could give you some KZ3 weapons to play in KZ2 while you wait.
They would win in a number of ways, It would get people hyped about the game again, and they would be making more money as people rushed to pay to download the maps to prove their "loyalty" I'm not saying let us access all the weapons, but a few would be nice.
I think that would be a better alternative to some of the Gold weapons you see game companies doing.

Yea i always thought the single player was lacking in the weapons department. No secondary fire for certain rifles either. Like a grenade launcher or something. I haven't touched the single player since i beat it on the difficulty before Elite. Spent most of my time on multiplayer. Haven't played in a while. Some new weapons would get me back in the game.

i was hoping for a link to their twitter page, since i didnt see one i went hunting for it. my search is unsuccessful so far, but i realised dat a bunch of ppl are typing da "Happy B-day" in da comments of Guerrilla's official site. i also did lol

I think this is the procedure (make sure you have a twitter account):
Go To
http://twitter.com/killzonedotcom
Click on Settings drop down, right next to "Lists" drop down, and select "Mention". This will take you back to your page, where you will be able to enter a reply message beginning with @KillZoneDotCom…
So type, "@killzonedotcom Happy birthday Killzone 2! [your PSN Online ID], [your country]".
I don't think Twitter is case-sensitive with the account names.

yup, and BLACK released 4 years ago come tomorrow and showed the industry how shooters should be.
4 years on, and no game has even come close to black not even crysis and that was really cool!
the AI in that were amazing, remembered everything you did.
so i guess their new game will be announced tomorrow? to commemorate BLACKs 4th bday.
