Army Of Two: The 40th Day DLC Adds More Co-Op Fun

If you need some incentive to go back to EA's solid Army of Two: The 40th Day , here's some news that will send Salem and Rios scrambling back to the battlefield.

EA Montreal has announced the downloadable content coming our way for the game; it'll cost you $9.99 for what will be called the "Chapters of Deceit." It will give you two new co-op campaign maps that once again feature the ruined city of Shanghai, and a new storyline angle that relates to Jonah and his personal military outfit. This will be available on April 1 on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace (800 Microsoft Points), and it's probably worth the money if you've got a friend who enjoys the game. One of the most appealing facets of Army of Two has always been the "two" part – even in the less-than-impressive original title – so it makes sense for EA to pursue this angle with the first batch of DLC. However, some gamers may balk at the $10 price tag as most "premium" DLC typically costs half that amount. Perhaps the co-op missions will be longer than we think, or maybe it just takes a whole lot more work to produce such extra content…either way, $9.99 could be tough to stomach if you were only lukewarm about the idea in the first place.

But co-op is always a blast with the right person. And besides, The 40th Day was indeed a good deal better than the first title, so in turn, it's more worthy of your time and money.

I bought the 1st title when the greatest hits edition cost $20…. then I sold to amazon for $5 after a friend and I played through it 2x. Can't remember how long that took, but it was pretty quick.

That game was fun, but it was pretty repetitive and had about 0 replay value.

Think I'll be passing up this sequel for other titles.

I really don't see how they sold enough to make a second game for this IP. Now I'm really amazed that they are creating new content.

love this game, its got everything.
only thing i did not like is its short, like MW2 short.
hell if they were to add in 2 extra hours of gameplay for the SP campaign i might actually buy it again.
