Bioshock 2 is definitely one of the best games of 2010 thus far, and for those of you enjoying the ride, you'll be interested in hearing about the freshly announced downloadable content.
Today, 2K Games has announced the DLC plan for their well-received sequel; this new content will "extend and enhance the single-player and multiplayer experiences" and the first pack will be called the Sinclair Solutions Test Pack. Available next month for the PlayStation Network ($4.99), Xbox Live Marketplace and Games for Windows-LIVE, it includes several customization options for the multiplayer mode along with the following features:
The only caveat is that you may have to achieve a rank of 41 or higher to gain access to everything above. Said Christoph Hartmann, 2K president:
"The fans who waited in the snow, rain and cold for the midnight launch of BioShock 2 have spoken and their message is that Rapture still has many fascinating stories to tell. Downloadable content is a key part of our efforts to continue to entice the fans that have made 2K a household name – we intend to deliver single and multiplayer content that respects and expands upon one of the greatest fictional worlds ever created."
More packs will be coming our way in the coming months, so it's clear that 2K will continue to support Bioshock 2 with plenty of extra content. If you're a fan, you won't be complaining.
P.S. Review coming very soon, along with the AvP review.

These rabid maniacs went to some obscure midnight launch in the snow, rain and cold and are now being treated to some DLC? Will the good times ever cease?
Ben, that was a long winded quote from him. Could have been shortened to "CHA-CHING!!!"
So speaking of those poor fools in the snow, rain, and cold, the so called "die-hard" fans if you will, did they get a free voucher for this DLC? Pfft.

No. But they did get free pneumonia.
Well that would be alright since you can play video games from bed then. Good excuse to stay home from work and play Bio2.
Would suck to die from pneumonia though, you wouldn't get a chance to shell out more dough for all that Bio2 DLC coming to a PSN near you.
the game felt complete. not really waiting on an expansion, but when Im finished with Heavy Rain, FFXIII, and God of War III, I might dive back down to the city of Rapture 🙂
I might be interested in a pack for the Single player mode. The multiplayer mode was a waste of disc space in my opinion. Worthless multiplayer.
Did you finish Bio2 already? You just finished the first one. You must have boned it out in a few days.
I was already half way into Bioshock 2 when I posted that comment. Finished 2 a few days ago.
I really enjoyed this game. It refined the gameplay of the original while making excellent new additions. The multiplayer was alright but I prefer Uncharted's to it.
I for one can't wait to see what DLC we get for God of War III. I wonder how long after it releases will you all be expected to bend over. 3 weeks after release?
I finished Bioshock 2 in 1 day, I loved every minute of it. While, in my opinion, not as good as the first one, it still stands up there. Also, multiplayer isn't all that bad. Just not spectacular. Don't know about the DLC though, I wish they would add more to the single-player experience, but oh well.
Wonder why you got a thumbs down. Nothing too controversial to be upset about.
what mode did you play in?
I guess someone didn't believe I beat it in a day. That is weird. If you don't believe me add me to your PSN, DIsmael85, and check my trophy list. I loved the game, and beat it on Normal, plan to go back and play it on hard. The game was great.
o no i do believe you i was just curious cause its taking me a pretty long time to get through it because i keep dieing
More stuff cut off the DVD.
Lol World… so true!
Q!
"make.believe"
Man, I have still not got round to finishing Bioshock 1 yet, one of a few games I need to go back and finish before I make more purchases.
Same here i started it again the other day, im playing it on hard without the vital chamber, some how managed to beat the 2 big daddies of the first area…. i doubt i will have such luck later on…. I may get Bioshock II, but for now all i can aford is Heavy Rain & Final Fantasy XIII.
bioshock2. cock. i've only preordered gow3, i've no idea how im gonna justify to my parents that i should get heavy rain in exactly the same time period aswell. cock!!! bioshock2 will just hav to wait til it gets cheap i suppose, same with AC2. i know its doing them a diservice, but what can you do…. GOW3 and heavy rain await. maybe after my exams i can pick up everything i haven't got yet.
off topic, but im pretty stoked for bad company 2. anyone getting it for PS3 here?
I cant wait for this. Getting it for ps3 as well. If you need someone to play with, my PSN is chedison.
Only 7 more days after tomorrow!. A week should be plenty of time to enjoy Heavy Rain for a bit. Of course I'll go back to it, but I've never been actually excited or looking forward to a fps before this game.

Cool, this will be nice but I'll have to wait but I did ask for PSN cards so I can download Heavy rain DLC, and now I can add this to my list. Still in the beginning stages of this game, man I need to be done with school lol 3 more months 🙂
Loved the game but it was too easy (even on hard) and seemed rushed and short. Haven't tried multiplayer since I abhor online play. Hope new game plus is in the dlc coming soon as well as a bunch of offline stuff.

short?
the game dragged on forever it did not know when to end.
you have 1 objective throughout the whole game, you complete that than you get another, you complete that than you get another.
god just end already!
it was shorter than bioshock 1 but was in no way short.
update those graphics than we will talk.
honestly i can not believe they have released a game in 2010 with 2007 graphics.
fu***ng tight a$$ 2K!
will be interesting to see what they add as in single player DLC, that is something id like to see from more games.
id kill for some single player uncharted 2 DLC……………………….
