Two words that should be mutually exclusive – "blade" and "kitten" – come together on the PlayStation Network this spring.
Krome Studios has announced that Blade Kitten , based on the comic book series by creator Steve Stamatiadis, will come to life in video game form. Bounty hunter Kit Ballard takes the lead in this colorful action/adventure game, where you traverse the world of Hollow Wish, executing your own unique brand of cat-like justice. Kit is part cat, part girl and holds the "Darque Blade," which is a hovering sword she uses to slash through her foes (is anyone else suddenly reminded of the Sword Familiar in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night ?). Skiffy, the sidekick, will assist as well, and the gameplay involves fast-paced combat, plus a bit of item collecting and puzzle solving. Stamatiadis is also the co-founder and creative director of Krome Studios, and he said:
"Blade Kitten is a brain child of mine that originated as a comic series. Bringing Kit’s anime-inspired universe to life is a milestone for us, and we’re excited to open her world up to gamers on the PlayStation Network."
Krome explains the game as a step beyond most downloadable titles, because it will offer a "strong narrative, high-quality cinematics, and a colorful, frenetic visual style." The game features 19 levels, plus three "exploration levels" with Noot, your ride-able alien mount. The entire game will be a two-part miniseries and if you want a sneak peek, tune into GameTrailers TV tonight at 12:30 a.m. ET/PT on Spike TV for an exclusive trailer and gameplay footage.

I'd support this. I'm trying to get back into drawing due to some of my friends, and this is awesome that this guys comic is becoming a video game, pretty inspiring.
I 100% support indie comic creators every chance I get, so I'll definitely be checking this out, too.
sounds weird… a good weird though.
Blades + kittens = win
I love the new pic, I hope you NEVER change it.
Is this game for little girls? Sounds like we'll see the cartoon for this on Nickelodeon or something. Not that thats a bad thing but it just sounds like it's for kids, well all except the part with blades but Power Rangers had swords so why can't these kittys? I'm in a strange mood today…the thumbs down button is over there >>>
Asian people love wrapping innocence in sexy skirts and makeup, then sending it out to kill.
I actually agree with you now that you said it I was going to but I thought there would be a bunch of haters all over me if I did lol "dont pick on my kitten with blades game meow!" but yea sounds korny' I never knew power rangers had swords guess thats what I get for never watching it….
I can't say I know for sure that they had swords, I grew up on Voltron, Centurians and Battle of the Planets myself, but I'm taking a guess that they did lol

cel-shading = beautiful…
Getting this the first second it goes up on PSN
all i can honestly say is REALLY ????!!!!!
Never heard of it. But I would like to see some gameplay videos.
This sounds outrageously fun. Like Scarecrow said cell-shaded = FTW.
Ben stop hating on Last Rebellion, I can't wait to pick it up!
I've been hearing its really, really, really bad.
I heard the same about WKC and I not only bought it on Day1 but I've logged over 60hrs and had a blast doing it.
I assume now that any JRPG will be bashed by the media but give me pleasure.
I believe one Japanese publication went to lengths of saying it felt unfinished and quite possibly the worst rpg of this generation.
I sometimes get Hardee's for dinner. I can stomach this game.

Besides even if the game is bad, you don't have to worry about explosive diarrhea.
Could be the first PSN game I get.
WTF?!

Thx, you get a thumbs up for the pic.
