But fair warning: as noted by PlayStation LifeStyle , you had best put your money down at a brick-and-mortar store if you wish to nab it. Amazon.com says the Ultimate Edition for GoWIII is already sold out, despite that lofty $99.99 price tag, which means you should shoot on down to GameStop soon if you wish to guarantee yourself one of those attractive packages. Other retailers may also offer a pre-order opportunity but for now at least, Amazon is out. On the other hand, if you'd rather not drop the c-note for the special edition, you can still pre-order the standard edition at Amazon and get yourself a $10 credit. This will be applied to the price of $56.99, which means you can nab one of the year's best for only $46.99, a deal you really won't find at GameStop (or anywhere else, for that matter). The Amazon pre-order also nets you a free in-game "Apollo Skin" so that's another little bonus for the hardcore fans. We still think the Ultimate Edition could be well worth the price for all you GoW lovers out there, if only because of its excellent quality and horde of goodies.
But hey, if you want the best stuff, you usually have to be proactive. This situation is no different so bear in mind that the Ultimate Edition may go faster than anticipated…from just about everywhere.

I probably would have ordered the Ultimate Edition if it came with the GoW collection as it does in Europe. Leaving it out turned me off. I'll get standard whenever I can afford it.
I think that's the Trilogy Edition. It's different, probably costs more too.
Uh yeah it's different. That's exactly what I just said. Europe's bundle is better imo so I'm not getting the North American one. Besides Pandora's box it's nothing but a bunch of dlc. Europe's might be a little more expensive but at least you're getting three games.
Just pre-order my GOW III Ultimate Edition at my local EBgames (GameStop in Canada) few days ago. I can't imagine to order online and wait for it to ship it to me. I want to be able to pick it up right away the day it come out! I can't wait!
Amazon has only ONCE not shipped my Day1 game on the day of its release.
Well, I'm not saying they won't be ship in time, I just dont want to take that chance.
I understand, better safe than sorry. I've had too many bad experiences with EB/Gamestop to consider doing business with them again. Amazon consistently throws money my way and I really see the perks of being a member.
Amazon has a "Delivered on release day" option usually. But I think you pay a bit more for shipping than it would cost in gas to drive to your store to pick it up. (Which is more exciting anyway)

@LimitedVertigo: Yeah I totally understand, and I feel the same way so that's why I usually deal with Futureshop, but they don't allow pre-orders so I had no choice but go to EBgames.
JUMP! at the price, i only WISH i could get it for 100 bucks.
EB want 250 for it and were missing out on the documentary, the only thing were getting that the US is not is the GOWC.

Okay, World is gonna lay some science on you mofos who simply MUST have it. PlayAsia is opening its preorders soon for region free imports on this title. However, I believe it to be the UE without the GOW Collection. You can probably guess what the website address is 😉

Pro-ordered mine s LONG time ago. I lucked out because Amazon was running that $40 for $80 deal around the holidyas, so I picked up two games as gifts for my brothers and got $40 bucks back. It is the only reason I could imagine affording a $100 box set this March. I already have Yakuza 3, Resonance of Fate, RE5 Gold, Final Fantasy 13 and Lunar for PSP!

i had to preorder my standard edition from hong-hong to my country by mail as soon as it get released ,the game's price here at my country going to be more than 150$$$$$$$$$$

If you guys are planning on getting it after the price drops…well good luck with that I don't expect it to go down in price for atleast a year. Look at Uncharted 2 still full price!

I had reserved GOW months ago, before any mention of the ultimate edition. Yesterday I found out that Gamestop stopped taking reservations for the UE. I hope sombody at my store cancels…(fingers crossed!!!)
Makes me glad I didn't decide to cancel my preorder. I got the gamestop one because their bonus skin kicks the ass of the apollo skin. Apparently its one of the original kratos designs they scrapped.
