Ben-DutkaAh, Trophies. Although they get in the way for a very few – as a critic who must review tons of junk, I gots lots of silly Trophies on my machine that I can't get rid of – most really appreciate the feature.
They're even more fun to nab when playing a game as amazing as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves . And as of February 25, a new DLC blast will feature a bunch of new multiplayer content and much of it is centered around the first title, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune . Now, the Trophies this update adds aren't backwards compatible so you'll need to start playing again with those new goals in mind. The Trophies include Sneaky (50 Stealth Kills), Tastes Like Chicken (20 BBQ Medals), Made It (Finish Wave 10 In One Survival Game), Wipe Them Out (Win 50 Deathmatch Games), and Cold Blooded (Get 2,500 Kills in Deathmatch or Elimination Games). We will also receive 12 new in-game multiplayer medals like Tip Off (Be the First Player to Grab the Treasure in Plunder), None Shall Pass (Get 5 Kills while in the Hill during a King of the Hill), Finish Him! (Get the Last Kill of the Game) and That Was Embarrassing (Earn a Shutout in Plunder). Last but not least are the six multiplayer skins coming your way on the 25th; they're all from the original Uncharted : Drake, Elena, Atoq Navarro, Eddie Raja, Gabriel Roman and the enemy pirate Javier. You can use these skins on two new maps, also inspired by the first game; the Flooded Ruins and the Facility.
If you needed any extra incentive to get re-involved with Uncharted 2 's multiplayer action, this might be it. Now, if there was only a way of deleting the Trophy information for Hannah Montana: The Movie …so much crap polluting my Trophy collection. 🙁

Finally received my copy of Uncharted 2 yesterday… and yes is freaking amazing!!! Guys I have never seen such incredible visuals in a game before… damn… its freaking incredible…
Right, let me not get my Wizardry beard into a tangle now… but I am definitely going to get the DLC… Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 are a monumental effort in the technical departments and two of my most treasured games now… Incredible stuff…
I just cannot wait for the sequels to both… 🙂

Yeah, the train part was my favorite.
Ok, I am 70% done with it… continues to amaze me… I am 100% sure this game will surpass the 3 million unit mark by July… like a fine wine it is being enjoyed more and more as people get to finally play it.
Really good… and yes, the train section was very well done.
Unfortunately though I am now stuck at the "Cat & Mouse" chapter and can't complete it. I am battling the green tank, the problem is all enemies and my partner have disappeared… it is just the tank and myself, and I can't seem to find any RPG's anywhere in order to take it down. Without chapter select does this mean I will have to replay the entire game? Juts can't seem to find a way out of this one 🙁
What a shame!
…is there a way to restart a chapter, if not my current play through is screwed…

As amazing as the train is, my jaw is still left on the floor by the evens of chapter 23 or 24 (I think). Tt's a spectacle they just shattered my expactations of games to come. I won't be precise because of spoilers, but I will say that it has a lot to do with snipers, rocket launchers and an accidental discharge or two…
Qubex, for the Cat and Mouse chapter with the Tank. Follow Tenzin, and keep going forwards, there are rocket launchers at the end, but you have to get to the end to find them. As long as you keep moving forwards and don't try to duke it out with the tank early, you'll be fine. You'll know when you find the rocket launchers at the end, there are a number of them.

I wonder how the trophies are split. Meaning how many of them are bronze/silver etc.
Also I've always wanted an Eddie Raja skin, this will be ace

Why not just make a different PS3 profil for games that you "dislike" and just play games that you like on your original profil?

I am not normally a big fan of online trophies as they usually prove to be quite difficult and/or quite boring. I have to admit though, these sound good. Getting 2500 kills in deathmatch is much more reasonable and many of the other ones, like the stealth kills, sound like fun too.
Looks to me like ND is learning this online stuff quick. Now please add a sprint button and we're all good.
I'm not a big fan of online trophies either – that's why when Uncharted 2 came out and all you had to do was play a co-op and comp game to complete the trophies I was happy.
If these trophies were originally on the list I don't think I would have platinum'd this game.
This is one of my favorite games, but I don't want to play online enough to get 2500 kills….
i'm pretty sure the trophies are… FREE?? wouldn't those come in a game update patch? as for the skins and new maps, those sound like they might be worth the purchase…

Trophies will likely be free. Not the maps or skins though.
The last Uncharted 2 pack was $4.99. probably the same price for this new one.

Maybe the maps., but the last Skin pack, with the Killzone, Resistance and Infamous skins cost $4.99. Small price to pay. was getting tired of using drake and Flynn.

this sounds like a good pack. I havent played for a week or two.. once I beat Dantes Inferno agian and get that platinum I will be jumpin from Uncharted to Madden… maps from U1 will be pretty cool.

they already announced you can get all the new content together (2 maps, all the skins, and trophies) for 6$ or separately if you only want certain ones.

Oh, that's one of my biggest pet peeves with both, Sony's trophy, & the 360's Achievements set-ups. How I wish that Sony & MS would put out a patchs or something to let us delete trophies & achievements for any unwanted games.
I'm like you with a lot of damned unwanted trophies too, but I get get my unwanted ones in a more indirect route…..
Since I buy a lot of older title in bulk just to add to my collections(yes, even the crappier bargain binned ones), I always sample them & play a bit just to see if I've found a hidden gem I'll enjoy among them.
Or I'll download a demo & find out Nahh, I really didn't like it, but I still happened to get a trophy or two along the way.
But now that game will forever be put away on my shelf never to be played again or that demo gets deleted, but I still have that damned game's 1 or 2 trophies staring at me for the rest of time, not to mention wasted space.

dam, should of known MGS4 getting trophies was too good to be true.
i wish ND would release a prequel to uncharted 2 just like what quantic dream are doing with heavy rain, or what visceral are doing with dantes inferno.
if not i hope uncharted 3 fills in the gaps between uncharted 1 and 2 because theres gaping holes in the story left you wondering.
Oh wow! Death Match or survival in the 'Facility' map will be amazing. Can't wait. Wonder if some of the enemies now feature the skin of the 'cursed' Spaniards too? That would be a cool surprise…
I was thinking the same thing but it doesn't look like the cursed ones will be in it. That'd make one hell of a survivor mode though don't you think?
It would be utterly awesome. That's why I'm wondering whether it might be a surprise inclusion, perhaps something for one of their double point weekends?
yea it would.. they should have them cursed guardians in some kind of co-op mode too now that you two mention that it makes me wounder 'why dont they have that in co-op?' lol maybe this will happen sometime.

Glad there still thinking about this game. Those new maps sound interesting. I will definitely be getting them if they aren't free. Man, I just love this game, gotta grab the U2 reins again.
