Yakuza 3 has the unfortunate distinction of releasing right around the time God of War III hits store shelves in the US, but it's a very different game and well worth your attention.
It received rave reviews when it launched in Japan last year and the overwhelming consensus is that it's the best Yakuza to date. It's also the first entry on the PlayStation 3 and we're hoping many are excited for this GTA-like brawler with what should be an excellent storyline. If you're already convinced (or if you need extra incentive), the PlayStation Blog has lifted the lid on the pre-order bonuses. If you put your deposit down now, you'll get no less than 4 pieces of downloadable content along with your purchase in March. Gotta love gameplay additions!
If you want to pre-order at GameStop, you'll get yet another bonus, too; it's the Challenge Pack, which lets you enjoy some 2-player mini-games like Pool, Bowling, Darts and Golf. Oh, and you'll even get four alternate costumes for Kazuma, Haruka and Rikiya. If you're not quite sure of what to expect, read our review of Yakuza 2 and just anticipate something bigger and better.

Cool perks, I'm not pre-ordering this game but if I was it certainly wouldn't be through GameStop. Power to the player my ass.
That's a cracking deal.
SUPPORT THIS GAME!
Thats a pretty pleasent deal, unfortunately i doubt i can afford it. I just pre-ordered Heavy Rain for the bonus content and that had my bank account snarling at me.
I hope psxtreme review this game.
Won't have time to check out this franchise.
Ive always liked the Yakuza games and was pleased when they finally announced it'd get a Wetern release but I'm dissapointed they aren't gonna bother with English dub, instead just slapping subtitles on. Sorry Sega, thats a deal breaker for me
Its funny when people say they don't have time for a game when its released like its only released for a limited time.
It's out for ever after March 10th so again, if you have interest, support it.
As for subs, it caters to the atmosphere. You're in Tokyo after all! It doesn't make sense when everyone in Tokyo speaks fluent English….i prefer it with the original, far superior voice cast. See Yakuza 1's dubbing for how bad it was.
yes, its also funny how this isn't a fps game , ripoff of GoW or a bad port of a 360 game and people don't give a s**t about it.
And then there's that.
Unfortunately, i think that the only reason Heavy Rain is showing signs of success in sales is because of the hype its been given…but, i ain't complaining, It deserves it….but, so does this…

what do you expect when they release it 1 year late and still ask full price for it?
not to mention sega saying no were not porting it across a million times that certainly did not help them either.
Well because my taxes were messed up for my job and I had to pay for it, I now have no more "Fun-Money" to spend. I'll just have to watch all the fun from afar…Until I get a new job. So as much as I really would love to pre-order this game, I won't be able to. But it does look like a great deal!
@ Nlayer, I agree with you i had to stop paying my credit cards, because of economic downturn and am finding it very hard to get a job.
It's a shame cause am missing out on so many of my hobbies.
I'll be buying this day one. Everyone knows how much I love this series, but… I'm not going to be buying it from Game Stop.
sorry SEGA but i dont spend 110 bucks on a 12 month old game.
their certainly not doing themselves any favors by not releasing a demo, not to mention their releasing it in the busiest month of the year.
not to mention there is absolutley no hype for this game what so ever, i have not read a preview, review or even seen a gameplay trailer.
their certainly not marketing it well.
if it came out in late may or something when we normally have a drought it probably would of sold much better.

hype lol .
you know I prefer to pay 55 bucks for a great exclusive game that was released on 2009 than ripoffs or bad ports.

true, but i would not be buying either.
kinda OT but just have to get it out there.
today i got the march edition of PSM3 and in there theres a section where they discuss rumored releases and wait for it.
you ready.
CRASH IS COMING BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
O FU** YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
looks like sony bought back the rights and naughty dog are back at the helm where they belong.
i so hope this is true, this puts 10 years of torture all worth it.
playing all those crappy ps2 games and wishing naughty dog kept it, all worth it if this comes true.
I was never able to get around to the Yakuza games on the PS2 because the first game came out at a busy time and the second was released while I was playing new PS3 games, but after seeing the video for the third on the PS Store, I'm definitely interested in this. I loved Shenmue on the Dreamcast and this looks semi-similar. It's been a LONG time since I played a Sega game I actually enjoyed, though, so that's the only thing that's keeping me from being certain about this title. However, being that the first two were of high critical claim, I'll definitely check this out in the summer when the game releases slow down for a bit.
