Ben-DutkaIf you haven't heard yet, a new trailer for God of War III will debut on GameTrailers TV tonight. And apparently, it's causing a big stir already.
Firstly, you should know that early footage of the game didn't feature the finalized and fully polished engine, and according to those who have seen the differences, we're all gonna be blown away once again. Now, the hype began to build for this new trailer several weeks ago and this has caused many to ask GTTV host Geoff Keighley about the video. They've assaulted his Twitter page with questions; most wanting to know if all we'll see is an extended gameplay trailer. Well, Keighley clarified at the NeoGAF forums:
"A lot of people have been asking me on Twitter if we are just running an extended gameplay clip. The answer is no, this is a fully produced, Hollywood-style gameplay trailer with clips and quick glimpses of the gameplay."
We're hoping this trailer will be up on the PSN shortly after debuting on the show, because it seems just about everyone will want to see it. It should run between 60 and 90 seconds in length, which is a little on the short side for a "Hollywood-style" trailer, but we get the feeling it'll be worth our time. We still have to wait more than a month to get our hands on this bad boy, so we kinda need our GoWIII media fix every now and then. And this one may be the best yet!

I'm sure it will be awesome. Probably a million times better than the live action Halo spots, or the "WTF is Vanquish even about" trailer.
Now I liked a few of the live action Halo 3 spots with the awesome music – but personally I feel that something is wrong if actual gameplay is not shown in your trailer.
Some people just try to hard to make a game trailer into a Hollywood production….I'm hoping that God of War does it right.

I am really looking forward to this, but the only problem I see is that GTTV is on Spike and they don't boardcast in HD, so it will look like crap on an HD TV. I hope Sony puts this up on the network with this weeks update so that it can be seen in it full HD glory, with out having to wait a week or so.

That's sweet, cable really needs to get with the times. I wish I could get satellite where I live, the woods are beautiful but they suck for reception.
Spike is the only HD channel I want but don't have yet. Well, that any maybe having my Fox Sports HD actually show programming more than 10% of the day. Ticks me off when I have to watch the Blue Jackets in SD while they are showing the Cavs in HD.
Isn't there a comedy central HD too, they keep saying Colbert is in HD now but there is no CCHD channel on comcast.

@World, I know man, it's bullsh*t. I'm stuck with Comcast as well and if there is one channel i wish I had in HD that would be the one. I'm sure we'll get it eventually but who knows how long comcast will drag their feet on this. One of these days I may send them an e-mail telling them to hurry it up.

this game is a must buy for me at the first day
i have just finished both on them on ps3 with platinums
i think i have finished them for the 6th or 7th time when i consider the ps2 versions
no chance that there will be any another game to compete against it for this year except for gt5 which is a must buy for me too
You might have to add Heavy Rain into that competition too.
I expect it to be just as awesome too.

Sony and their exclusives… there's nothing better. Spike TV however is a pass. Get it up on PSN indeed!
If only sony had it in them to advertise this game at the superbowl.
EA was ballsy enough to do it with Dante's Inferno and that was just a knock off. Epic comercial though.
This game is going to be one of THE games though personally I am looking more forward to Final Fantasy XIII. Problem with this game is that it comes out the day after I start school. Hmm, GOW3 or education? Think I will have to go with Kratos on this one.
I can't imagine OPM UK only give 9/10 for GOWIII. Well I guess they have their reasons, but anyway, I can't wait to play this game and I am waiting patiently for the brand new trailer.
I like seeing trailers on my Bravia instead of my comp so here's hoping it hits the PSN soon after.

2 years after announcement and all we have is a handfull of screenshots, 2 trailers and a demo.
when PSM3 said SCEA is keeping their cards close to their chest they wernt kidding.
plus the first review is in and OPM UK has given it a 9.
reason for that being it feels to much like its predecessors.

Just watched the trailer and good God it was like being in a fight…this game is going to make your tv bleed and your eyes fall out. Chaos never looked so good.
