…it may be one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
It's the Heavy Rain Coach Bus and it's clearly rolling out to help promote the new PlayStation 3 exclusive that drops in a few weeks time. Unfortunately, according to PlayStation LifeStyle , you won't see this bus on the streets right now unless you live in Germany, so we're all wondering if there will be more coach buses. Sony's advertising has been spotty in the past, although we should probably admit that the "It Only Does Everything" campaign for the PS3 has been a huge hit. We still say they need to advertise the system's exclusives better; recently, only Uncharted 2: Among Thieves got some serious ad time, but perhaps that's the start of a new trend. There's little doubt that Quantic Dream's promising and ambitious title will need all the promotion it can get, primarily because it doesn't appeal to the mainstream "twitch-gamer" crowd. The other two factors that might assist sales are high review scores and controversy surrounding the game's nudity, but I still wanna see that coach bus around here. 'looks out window'
We remind you again to stay tuned for our review of the hotly anticipated game in question; it will go up after 9 a.m. PST on Wednesday, February 10. Are you excited?
Related Game(s): Heavy Rain
Heck yes I am excited. Looking forward to reading the well written, concise review like I do for all of them. But I want this game so badly I will not cancel my preorder even if the review is not as good as I think it will be! 🙂
Wow, That bus looks so "elegant!"
lol, wonder what the destinations for it are, better pass through here…
Anyway psxe review for the mofo win!
I don't think I'll be reading the review until after I get the game and play it. I don't want to spoil any surprises. I think I need some blinders.
You actually think we'd put spoilers in the review?
Move along people, he didn't mean it, nothing to see here. False alarm! (got your back, Fluffer). ;P
I would ride in that bad boy! Sooo sexy!
Too be honest, Ben. Sadly no I'm not excited for your review 🙁 because no matter what it is you put on ther, I'm going to totally buy this game on day one, already pre-ordered and everything =P Haha. I'm kinda depressed atm, after playing the demo is made me want to know more and now I have to suffer and wait for a couple weeks. -cry-
Plus the actual game is pretty depressing too!
Damn, I REALLY want that bus…..for my gaming collection of course. Now, If I can only come up with a couple hundred grand, LOL
Oh, & the game too.
Now that would be a good special edition of a game, I can see it now "Pre-order your copy of Heavy Rain exclusive to Amazon and recive this life size vehicle, supplies are limited"
Can't wait! Only a few weeks left!
That's a limited edition bus only included in the Collectors Special Edition for Heavy Rain in Germany.
Bus or no bus I am punching my ticket on Feb. 23rd. Headed to Gamestop to pick up my copy of Heavy Rain Baby!!!
Thats one kick a$$ bus. Ben I am super excited for your review even though it won't sway me since I already preordered and know it's going to be amazing I still like reading the reviews on games, like to see other peoples opions on this game.
Put Heavy Rain on PSP so I can play it on that bus!
I am sure its possible, everything just needs to be cut down that is all, and heavily compressed. Biggest amount of data would be the audio and hours upon hours of dialogue. Graphically, they can do what Kojima is doing with MGS Portable. It still looks good, just hasn't got the HDef fedility in the visuals, and number of polygons!
If you couldn't do it across 1-3 UMD disks, it could be EPISODIC for the PSP too in the form of downloads every 2-4 months… Could be an interesting take on a "virtual" portable crime series you can take with you on the go. Interesting idea or not?
Q!
"i am home"

Yep, we Heavy Rain fans aren't swayed by reviews. We have faith…no we KNOW we made a good decision in preordering this game (Okay, maybe I didn't preorder but you know where I'm going). That demo didn't sway me either (As a matter of fact, it was a sh**storm of a confirmation). Those constant articles Ben put out allowed me to gather my evidence. Now I've come to a unwavering decision. Come February 23, Origami Killer prepare to get unmasked! And Madison, prepare to undress. But don't get the wrong idea…it's…it's part of the gameplay. I swear! Don't meddle in my affairs!

She's hot. You needn't make excuses. 😉
wonder if the motion actors are on it signing autographs
I wonder if there's a shower on the bus 😉
There is a shower and also a stripper pole. Move along folks. Staring too long will cause blindness.
thats one hell of a way to advertise… I pre-ordered this on Amazon and sadly I wont get it until March 1st cuz I had to do the free shipping which takes longer to ship… it was only 49.99 ? which I still dont know why it was, but im not complaining 🙂
hopefully the demo is old code because it certainly did have quite a few bugs, even for a demo.
like the first scene when you first walk in and she tells you to put your cash on the table her skins got a green tint to it.
WTF?
than in the fighting scene where it gets you to use the sixaxis motions are not sensitive enough.
i was shaking like a Montreal school girl and still did not pick it up.
not to mention in the last scene there is a sh*t load of screen tearing and pop in.
when the camera first turns on the car dashboard looks all bury than all of a sudden all the textures come in.
same with the characters faces.
one thing i dont get though is they made trophys pop up after the missions to not disturb the "gameplay" but than they have friend messages or log ins during the whole time.
does that not defeat the purpose?
oh well ill just turn them off, and hope i dont forget to turn it back on later.
Really the only issue i had was when Jaden walked on a curb, a little clip appeared ( i think becasue he walked into a puddle lol) and after he was up in the air, but one quick movement and he was on the ground again.
This is a definitive purchase for me. The demo certainly answered all my questions. Though i'm certainly looking forward to the PSX E. review 😀
ahhh the part where he gives the driver the finger for splashing water on him?
classic, i pissed myself laughing when i saw that and instantly reminded me of my father.
the demo raised allot more questions with me than it answered, like i know its a demo but that every time you play a scene its different argument davids been barking around is certainly not what i found in the demo.
only time will tell.
I'd take that bus even if it took me somewhere I didn't wanaa go…
Awesome ad campaign
Though I would love to witness such a sight in my city, ANY additional promotion for this game ANYWHERE is a good thing.
And to join in with a few other comments, I mean no offense to this site or any of the other select few sites I trust, but there's likely nothing that will get me more excited about 'Heavy Rain' than I already am.
Should still be a great read, nonetheless.
Im looking forward to Bens review but I'm confident it will have a high score, lemme explain;
I subscribe to a mag and get it every month, they have reviewed HR and its a good score (in case you're wondering, the magazine isnt out on general release till Feb 11th but as I subscribe, I get it hot off the press a few days early)
Anywho, in its closing comments they said "as soon as you finish the game you'll want to start again straight away." Didnt Ben say he's on his second play through..? Thats gotta be a good sign, just sayin
If you mean OPM, I don't understand all the secrecy. Just name the mag.
Anyway, I subscribe to OPM (though I still prefer to think of it as PSM); and OPM gave Heavy Rain a 5/5.
Orvisman, FYI its PSM3 magazine, they gave it 88

Bioshock 2 at midnight tonight and HR on the 24th! Damn it feels good to be a gamer.
My wallet says different 🙁
All the more reason to support public transportation.
Looks like somebody had access to Game Informer, the scores for their latest issue are up at Game Rankings and Heavy Rain received a 9.5 score. They also gave BioShock 2 an 8.25 score.
Like I wrote above, OPM gave Heavy Rain a 5/5.
For the record, OPM also gave Bioshock 2 a 5/5.
Oddly enough, there was no MAG review. Maybe not so odd seeing as how most mags have a three-month lead time and MAG is one of those games you have to wait for the servers to be fully functional to review.
Germany, wait, isn't that close to where I live(the dutch) *checks world map*, It is, like right next to it, am hoping for it to come close by my house now…
im afraid this definitely won't be a Day 1 purchase for me as I have a variety show to perform in on the 24th and there's no way I would leave Heavy Rain to go practice
Hmmmm, got an idea here…..
Sony should run a contest so that when they're actually done with the contracted advertising run on the bus, they should give that bus away to one lucky gamer. Shipping fees included!
Please note: CDL(Commercial Drivers License), and daily riders, not included

Great idea, only one year till it's legal for me to drive in my country anyways. Bring on the Bus!!!
@ ______________,
I have decided to call you Negative Nancy. When an article on a game pops up all you do is complain about minor issues, I did notice a few but none to make me whine about it in this article. I was severely impressed with the Demo, its astounding in so many ways its just incredible. The only issues I noticed were during a trailer with some slowdown and some clipping, other then that, I really loved it.
there issues so what am i suppose to do?
praise them?
