Ben-DutkaIt was revealed when we learned of the finalized North American launch date – March 16 – and now, we get to see what's inside.
They unveiled the contents of that awesome God of War III Ultimate Edition over at the European PlayStation Blog , and it's just jam-packed with great goodies for the fans. Now, we're just going to assume the contents are the same for the US version: we'll get a "high-end, sculpted replica of Pandora's Box with an epic outer box which features an acetate window" and inside, there's a truckload of stuff . There's the God of War Collection that released in the US late last year (this one may not be in the American Ultimate Edition), extra game content via the PSN (character skins, Combat Arena with seven Challenges, etc.), the soundtrack from all three games in the trilogy, a "God of War: Blood and Metal" EP (heavy metal homage to GoW music), plus a beautiful art book and even postcards. Oh, and they remind you that an all-new trailer will go live on the PlayStation Blog on the morning of February 12, which is next Friday. We know GoWIII is the final part of this unbelievable trilogy and the Ultimate Edition is the perfect selection for hardcore fans.
Like we said, though, the American Ultimate Edition may be a little different, so bear that in mind. We may receive a clarification or a separate unveiling at the US PS Blog some time soon.

Stupid stupid question… is the Ultimate Edition available anywhere else other than GameStop…. 'cause I see it listed there but no where else.
Oh and I'm soooooooo getting this! I hope best buy or something sells it since GameStop and I don't get along

Amazon had it on sale last week for 89.99 but not anymore.
That is because it sold out at Amazon for 89.99. It was available for weeks. Now, it's being offered from Target for 99.99 on Amazon.

If you preorder the standart edition on amazon they give you 10 on credit so that would be 50 bucks xD.

I have one pre-ordered at Best Buy. Plus they gave me ten bucks off the GOW Collection.
to me its a rip-off cuz my only interest is the game not a bunch of crap ill look at sitting on a shelf or listen to once for $100.. im not hating on the whole ideah but ill just get the game.
Both FFXIII and GOW3 have $10 credit offers from Amazon. Here is my evil plan…
-pre-ordered FFXIII since it releases first.
-Use the $10 credit from that on GOW3.
-Then use the GOW3 $10 credit on 3D Dot Heroes.

I might just pre-order it just in case. If the US version doesn't come with the same stuff, then I don't want it. I haven't picked up the GOW collection yet so this would be perfect, plus all the extra stuff. I can always cancel my order if they decide to screw over the US fans…
I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition late last year; seeing that there will be a soundtrack is awesome because I can see myself playing the tracks anytime I have to do some tedious financial reports. They're no Greek gods but they are sometimes time consuming.
I get the feeling the EU one has more content as its £110, I dont think the USA version comes with Pandoras box

the US version is exactly the same as the European versions minus the GOW collection hence the 90 buck price instead of the 200+ price tag.
I pre-ordered the ultimate edition from best buy on 1/10/10 and it includes pandora's box, art book, challenge arena, a premium kratos skin, documentary, trilogy soundtrack, and the heavy metal EP.

And it's exclusive to EB Games here in Australia, so more than likely exclusive to Gamestop in America since they're owned by the same major company.
Don't forget about Final Fantasy XIII in March either. I know GoW III will be bigger and better, but FF XIII is still a big release and still will be worth playing. (I can see Xbots blogging and shouting sales stats right now arguing FF XIII to be bigger and better. HA!!! Hypocritical morons)
Had my preorder in months ago when it was first announced. Too bad we don't get the GoW collection but its only fair for the inflated prices of EU.
Like many, GoW3 is the biggest release of the year for me. No other game's premium edition has tempted me before.

I think these companies should make all the Bonus stuff PSN D/L'able for a fee instead of exclusive to you buying a overpriced box for something you only want some of the items out of. Of course leave stuff like Case/Pandora's Box and Artbooks but anything like Combat Arena, make a psn d/l for it so everyone can get it without getting all the other bogus stuff. I'd Never do anything with the Artbook, I bought the Hardened Edition of COD for COD Classic, which was a mistake, especially when they relisted COD Classic on the PSN For Purchase, ugh.

was just thinking if i have a friend who lives in UK & he comes to visit me in April, can he bring one these to me, will it be legal for him to be in Mauritius with that big box, will they let him pass customs in GB!?
oh i really wished they wouldn't do exclusive content for zones … gamers are all over the world & i spend a lot for my PS3 (games/accessories/PSN & PS HOME) so please do let me have it!
