And it seems EA is sick and tired of being accused of injuring players by slapping them on the latest Madden cover; this year, instead of selecting the player(s) that will grace the cover of Madden NFL 11 , they're letting you choose. Visit the Doritos-sponsored Change the Game website, where you can pick between three options: Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, or Indianapolis Colts wide receiver, Reggie Wayne. The latter two players will meet in the Super Bowl this weekend, but Allen's Vikings lost to the Saints in the NFC Championship game. Who will you select? Personally, I went for Allen just 'cuz I think it'd be cool to see a defensive player on the cover. But I really should pick Brees because without him, the Saints wouldn't do jack next year and San Francisco could really benefit from that now-open playoff spot… Well, maybe they could if the management would select a real coach. Whatever. Anyway, you have to be signed in to vote but if you want your voice to be heard, give 'em your e-mail and make your selection.
Although it hasn't been officially announced just yet, we're guessing Madden NFL 11 will launch in mid-August as it always does. And the past few years have been great for the franchise, so we're looking forward to the new one.
P.S. Last year's cover featured both Pittsburgh's Troy Polamalu and Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald; I believe the latter didn't have any injuries during the season, but wasn't Polamalu out for a while…? I forget now.

the thinking is that WHEN the player on the cover gets injured next season, that EA can say, well its not our fault, its the fans' fault, they picked him.
Troy WAS sidelined for a period of time this year.
I say give it to the Super Bowl MVP every year. Or a star player from each of the two Super Bowl teams like they did last year.
Say Manning on one side and Brees on the other.
Do what SC4 did. Have Manning only playable on the PS3 and Brees for the 360.
I like LV's thinking, make the great quarterback for the great console, and the sub-par quarterback foe the sub-par console, Manning-PS3, Brees-360, it all makes sense.

Yes Polamalu was injuryed in the first game and while Fitzgerald may not have been hurt he didn't have a big year. Not trying to support the madden curse just stating the facts. It's football people, a contact sport will eventually cause injuries and plenty of people got injured this season and they were not on the cover of madden.
Well, to add on to Myworstnightmar said, I'd like to see two people on the cover, one being an offensive player, & one being a defensive player, of each team. It'd be hard to snub Manning or Freeney though. Or Brees over Darren Sharper. Ahh crap, never mind lol. Manning & Brees would be just fine.
Put a level 12 paladin on the cover. Then I'll buy it.
It could be a curse. You don't know. Someone may have realized that they were buying reskins and put a curse on em.

the only maden curse here is every time i choose to use the "madden play" it always works out for the worse.
i wish there was another NRL game out, the PSP just recently got one but it sucks and for some reason NRL3 is only on wii.
the ps2 games were fantastic besides the bugs they were allot of fun to play i use to get days of joy reaping revenge on the 1999 grand final.

The only Madden curse is the lack of quality of Madden 10, anytime it shows players on the sideline their number is 00, the presentation is worse than NFL2K4's but it received critical acclaim for this shoddy presentation (it's so vague!), the superstar mode should have been removed IMO, no interviews, no movie scripts, nothing special for any seasonal achievements (Pro Bowl, Super Bowl win etc.) The only improvement was the actual gameplay was better than 09's and Allen gets my vote I <3 defense

I dont care who is on the cover im not getting madden 11 nor 12 im settled with M10 as long as they dont shut down the madden 10 server like EA did with other servers… then im good with 10 i mean how can it get much better than 10 anyways "we added a new juke move and QB super-duper vision" fuk that. lol they really got to do something over the top for me to get any new Madden games in the near future, with that said they should put a SUPERBOWL MVP on the cover or best player/'two players' on the cover.
