One of the biggest games of the year drops next week and if you want to be fully prepared, you need the entire Plasmid and Tonic list.
This comes courtesy of MTV Multiplayer , where you will find every last Plasmid and Tonic that will be available to you in this highly anticipated sequel. Those who played the original will certainly recognize many of these, including the always handy Electro Bolt, the nifty Telekinesis, and the explosive Incinerate Plasmids. Me, I really had fun with that Winter Blast Plasmid, which proved to be uber-useful throughout my very satisfying and atmospheric adventure. Other Plasmids, like Hypnotize and Decoy, are good in certain situations; you have to really be a tactician when facing unique enemies, you know? And while the Plasmids are like magic, the Tonics allow you to equip your character with passive abilities and in Bioshock 2 , there will be about "two dozen slots" available. You've got Security Tonics that allow you to move a little easier through the trap and alarm-ridden environment, Vitality Tonics for health and Eve purposes, Elemental Tonics for unique elemental attributes, Melee and Projectile Tonics, and even Loot Tonics. There's just so much in the way of cool stuff!
We know it might be tough to choose between this and Dante's Inferno on February 9 but if you're looking for a FPS that actually features a great storyline and in-depth RPG-like traits, Bioshock 2 is the game for you.
Related Game(s): Bioshock 2
This isn't what got me interested in Bioshock2, but recently, i very much am. time to appreciate something i normally wouldn't i suppose.
but there's so much;
Heavy Rain
GOW3
GT5
and i've had my eye on Brink for a while, i'm appreciating something else too 🙂
I probably will get bioshock2, mix things up a bit. but first, i need to get off MW2. then finish fallout 3 (+ DLC). Then replay MGS4.
lots to do….
It's not that tough. I'm not hearing good things about Dante's Inferno and I've had my fill of Bioshock just recently. I'll most likely pick up these two further down the price drop highway.
Yea, I was disappointed that Dante didn't get a better score. It was not a "Day 1" purchase, but still. I liked the demo (even if it was GOW ripoff).
i think dante's inferno copied god of war a lil too much. not saying it's a bad game but that might be the reason for the lower scores. and i too enjoyed the demo
Dante's Inferno is God of War with some different Skins and Textures.
Its ok to take inspiration from another source, but to out right copy the game play mechanics pretty much verbatim, i would think they are getting pretty close to some kind of copy right or patten infringement.
Inferno is day 1 for me, Dante is much more dynamic as a character with a backstory vs Kratos the angry Spartan. And the circles of hell with their themes are much more interesting to me. I'll of course get GOWIII too, but so far, despite some poopy reviews (which WKC got too) I'm psyched to take the scythe with me to hell.
Looking forward to that Superbowl ad too.

@ WorldEnds – You'll have to let us know about Inferno. I'm sure it'll be good, it's just the critics that are putting a negative spin on their reviews. I like reviews for what they are, but I much prefer to hear what gamers think.
I can give you both my biased and unbiased opinions, oft times I have to agree with a poor review even when it doesn't taint my enjoyment of the game at all. I mean yeah, up against the best that gaming has to offer like U2, I don't see DI doing 9s and 10s.
i love dantes inferno some of the boss finishers make kratos look like a Pansie!
cant wait till the DLC expansion pack comes out with online co-op AND a create your own battle scenes.
dont listen to the BS IGN review and since when do blatant copies automatically turn into bad games?
quantum theroy is a blatant rip off of gears.
so is bayonetta to DMC.
so is darksiders to GOW.
so is uncharted to tomb raider.
does that mean their bad games?
the level design in DI has really left my jaw on the ground wait till you enter gluttony its so funny.
every circle is so unique and the enemies are extremley imaginative.
only 4 things i hate about DI is 1 the controls can be sluggish and unresponsive.
2 if you find a relic or a collectible and die you have to find it again, ive lost count the amount of items i will have to go back for just because i died and did not realize i lost it.
3 the puzzle room was easy to solve but still very annoying!
4 the difficulty is so unballanced!
i started on medium and got about 1/3rd through the game than kept dying so i lowered it and its gone from GOW on titan to daddy please dont hurt me!
honestly there is a MASSIVE! difference between easy and medium.
on the boss battle i was doing every time on medium i only got his health half way before i died.
on easy i killed him in 1/4th of the time and still had like 90% of my health left.
the game from medium to easy is suppose to be exactly that medium to easy.
NOT! hard to a freaking 2 year old could do this.
same could be said about Call of Duty and Medal of Honor
Im ready for Bioshock 2, I love it when a sequel comes to a game with an excellent storyline. I cant wait for Killzone 3, they just left us hanging.
I'm really interested in Bioshock 2 along with Mass Effect 2, but in the end money talks and mines been mute for quite sometime now. I gotta feeling it'll start talking when FFXIII is around the corner.
i can't wait to play as a big daddy and fight a big sister the story will be the big part of bioshock 2 success just like bioshock.
While I like the look of both Dantes Inferno and Bioshock 2 the game that gets my money on the 9th is Star Ocean.
Since Star Ocean 4 made Ben have a massive brainfart I am going to get it at a cheaper price point. I loved SO3 but those games can have some serious issues with causing mental breakdowns.

Thats fair but I think the changes made to the ps3 versions battle system should at least help a bit. Also not having to switch discs back and forth should be sweet too.
mental breakdowns? lol how so?
I just hope the ps3 version is better than the first one, imo it had to many graphical issues such as low res textures, sub par animations etc. I remember beating the game and just feeling underwhelmed by the experience, sure it had a good storyline but so will Heavy Rain which is all that I'm interested in right now
The PS3 version sported better textures then the 360 version.
Supposedly.
Either war, its the stupid Engine they are using that causes the problems. Unreal is Ungood.

Unreal=fail, I think Bio1 was a port. Don't think this one is.
Just caught the teaser for Fallout New Vegas, oh man, if Bio2 even hovered near my radar before it just got kicked to the curb. Fall 2010 baby. I love Vegas, even if it is somewhat desolate.
i just watched that trailer. damn i can't wait till fallout comes out.
go and look @ the tv spot for heavy rain. i got goosebump watchin it
You said it WorldEnds! Vegas here I come!
what's with all the thumb downs? wtf.
There is a stalker on this site… suffers from "thumbstenitus" I think… another dreaded disease is …"noobosus"…
Terrible I tell you, terrible!
I have thumbed you up to try and neutralise the disease, maybe others can do the same, that would get you to parity at least!

im super excited for bioshock 2 since the original is still one of the best games out.
but a little skeptical and worried because playing the whole game as a big daddy i dont know im a little reserved on that.
why change the gameplay so drastically when it was perfect in the first place?
This is a no brainer Bioshock 2 for sure on the 9th sorry Worldendswithme DI just doesn't do it for me but I would love to know how it goes anywase for you.
WKC anyone heard when Ben will do a review? I have seen a few and they are all 5/10's i trust this site over any for reviews just want to know before I pick up a copy
No clue when he will review but I am having an awesome time with the game the georama in particular is addictive.
Dante's Inferno is still a must-get for me. I really enjoyed the demo. One review I read gave the game a low score simply because they thought the game wasn't original. It's sort of hard to be original when there are so many other games out there and you're trying to deliver a certain experience that might have already been produced. Anyways some games aren't meant to be original because this game is based off an epic (with major violence and combat tweaking of course). This same site also said that DI was a rip-off other titles. Well, so what, a good game is a good game regardless of gameplay mechanics that mirror previous titles. I'd rather somebody copy a great existing title like GOW2 then create a disaster like Legendary.
When my girlfriend walks in with a cheese and tomato toasted sandwich, i suddenly find myself with the urge to have one too.
Why?!…….NOT because im copying her.
But because i suddenly realised it was a great idea.
Every single game these days has a rip off of something
Its like saying every FPS game is a rip off of another FPS game.
Its silly people.
