It's not exactly shocking but it's likely still disappointing for action fans.
Up until now, Tecmo's Quantum Theory had been scheduled to release on March 25 for the PlayStation and Xbox 360. Known mostly for looking a great deal like Epic's Gears of War , the title began its life as a PS3 exclusive but over time, eventually became a multiplatform project. Many were looking forward to its March launch but today, according to Just Push Start , publisher Koei has announced a delay for the game. Quantum Theory now holds a vague "TBA" release and the reason for this delay "is to improve the game's quality to better satisfy the gamers." While it only applies to Japan, one has to assume the North American and European territories will continue to wait as well, and one has to wonder if the March blockbusters like Final Fantasy XIII and God of War III had anything to do with the decision. Perhaps not, as FFXIII is already out in Japan, but you never know… We haven't seen much in the way of details or new media for the game, though, and that usually isn't a good sign.
We'll let you know when Koei issues a new launch date for Quantum Theory in Japan. At this point, the title has sort of slipped on the priority list for many gamers, so Tecmo should take the time to get it right.

This game seriously needed some work done to it.
i give this news a big "MEH"
I don't think the march games had anything to do with it, I think the fact that they know it totally sucks had more to do with the delay. This sucker is gonna bomb.
hahah you have a point. But it doesn't help when you have games like FFXIII and GOD III releasing in March. I could just see the looks on their faces.
I'm just thinking of the only media we have seen from this project, which makes it look more and more like a generic shooter than anything else. Who knows maybe the 360 crowd will eat it up since I don't see Gears 3 in the offing but I just get a bad feeling about this game. It's my game spidey sense speaking.
I understand what you mean, and I also am going by the footage I've seen, but you're right, who knows exactly.
But you can't argue with a gamers spidey sense! lol
Yeah this game would get a beat down if it were released in March.
I know everyone is ready to write it off as a Gears clone, but I think it does look decent. If it releases in a slow month, I might just check it out.
Hmmmm,just wondering…
Has one of MS's Brinks truck caused this game to be gimped for the PS3 too???
theres's no way they could of release this with GOW .I don't think anyones dissappointed about the delay.I didnt really care for this game even when they said it was an exclusive.
Wait a minute… so is this being developed by Tecmo and published by Koei? I'm a little confused because both are continuously mentioned in the article. This is actually the first time I've heard Koei mentioned.
I think this will be fun to try out. I'm not expecting much, especially now that there's a chance it'll be watered down due to it appearing multi-platform rather than the originally announced PS3 exclusivity. Still though, doesn't look to shabby.
ive sed it from the start, who gives a s***. it looks so bad it hurts my eyes to look at it
Microsoft is buying the rights to it to make it into a RTS game!
Sorry couldn't resist
meh.
everyone has lost interest on this so its in their best interest to give the game a once over, go over it with a fine tooth comb and make sure everythings perfect.
not like were waiting for it.
Yeah, like the motion sensor controlling technology, I can wait. Just make the game better or good even and I might give it a try. Don't really know too much about this title, whatever.
Damn, I was looking forward to read their theory papers on quantum mechanics…
Banky,
I think you'll actually need a "Quantum Leap" in order to read the mechanics of that theory.
