Achieve Perfection In MLB 2K10…And Win $1 Million

Not into sports games? You will be by the time you're finished reading this article.

Believe it or not, spring training for baseball isn't too far off and the fans are already looking forward to the new season. This is why 2K Games will be releasing MLB 2K10 on March 2 and if you need further incentive to nab it on Day 1, check this out: 2K is offering $1 million to the first person who can throw a perfect game in the first 60 days of the title's availability. You've got between March 2, 2010 and May 2, 2010 and the first one to accomplish the feat (on either the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360) is a million dollars richer. However, as you might expect, there are some ground rules:

— You have to play against the CPU in MLB Today Mode, where it will automatically utilize the default gameplay settings.

— You have to record yourself pitching the entire perfect game and put it on a DVD.

— Cheating of any kind is an automatic disqualification…duh.

2K Sports is using the help of Twin Galaxies to help authenticate the DVD you send so don't bother trying to slip one past 'em. The game is available for just about every platform on earth but as far as we know, this contest only applies to the PS3 and 360 versions. And by the way, in case you're not checked out on standard baseball lingo, a perfect game is different than a no-hitter; you can issue walks and allow fielding errors in the latter. For a perfect game, that's 27 up, 27 down. No exceptions. So like…good luck.

You said it bro.

The MLB 2K series hasn't been great to say the least……and I still wouldn't buy it as a lottery ticket.

No, not really interested in this; I think pitching an entire perfect game is going to be very very difficult indeed…

On another note; I picked up Heavenly Sword today for $25 new – Platinum label 🙂 Building my collection at 1/3rd the price, even if a little late… next is the platinum label of MGS4; on sale for $30 🙂

Heavenly Sword is great.

Some of the best acting you'll ever hear/see in a video game.

I almost two pitch a prefect games with Justin Verlander and Nate Robinson always seem the guy batting .222 or lower always get a hit with 2 outs. I've always prefer MLB the Show series cuz it actually looks I'm watching a baseball game on tv.

As for 2k10 u can't blame a company trying to attract new people or lure away MLB the show fans. I'm guessing once someone actually wins the million dollars I'm suspecting people will be trading in the game for MLB 10 or something else.

As for getting an PS3 exclusive collection I started with "InFamous" and might go after "Killzone 2" next

best part towards the end where theres a million and one enemies on screen.
i literally had to go change after that.
seriously i had to change my TV imput i thought i was watching lord of the rings 3.
thats what im hoping for in GOW3, i doubt we will get it to that extent but one can dream.
if not GOW 3 i seriously need another game like that, i dont care what just add the combat mechanics of heavenly sword and add a million and two enemies on screen.

I wonder if this game is going to be as buggy as 2K9 was. If so, then I don't see many people being able to pull this off.

I have read that they have completely redone the pitching mechanic, so that could cause some problems or help things out. I wouldn't know since I haven't played 2K baseball since like the '04 edition.

Side note: GOW III officially confirmed Mar 16 and a new trailer on Feb 11. Also that patch for Bayonetta was done by Sony not Sega or Platinum.

I wish MLB: The Show 2010 was doing this. Of course, they don't need to offer people the chance at $1 million to get people to play their games.

The last dev that made a game that offered a million for completing it folded faster than Superman on laundry day.

I think they will be more people trying to hack and trick then actually completing the game. At a million dollars it will probably be worth to same hackers.

They probably rigged it so that it is impossible to actually pitch a perfect game, and so they know it's impossible to begin with, so if someone does do it, they know they cheated.

MLB: The Show 2010 all the way but I might have to rent this one just to give it a shot. Although I'm sure it won't take more than a couple days for someone to do it.

As much as I'd like to go for it, I won't be. Only one baseball game is worth my time this year and it's not 2K's. Now if EA would make a Mutant League Baseball and put it out, then there would be another one to pick up.

Cool incentive to get the game, $60 for a chance for one million.

I don't know what they're talking about but I'm SURE its gonna be very difficult. Nothing comes easy, especially a million bucks.

Won't be trying this. Can't trick me into getting a game, or even renting it. I don't do sports games anyway, if I wanted to play a sport, I'd go outside. But it you can't solve the mystery around the Origami Killer everyday.

sorry guys but your going to need to pay me more than 1 mill to get me playing a sports game.
besides soccer obviously.
plus you would probably have better luck wining the lottery.
i remember 2 years ago i imported OPM UK and got a 2M pound scratchie so i said to my dad 50 bucks says you have to be a UK citizen to claim.
and you did so i said 50 bucks says ill win the 2M.
and i did.
ive been buying scratches ever since. every day and i still have not won jack #@$%
O, actually i won 5 bucks last week 😀

This is so a lonely virgin nerd who has nothing better to do than pitch a perfect game in MLB 2K10 can live more of his life without ever having to leave his parents basement
