Ben-DutkaWe're still not sure if North America will see any type of Heavy Rain -themed PlayStation 3 bundle, but we know Europe will get one. Well, France, anyway.
As revealed by PlayStation LifeStyle , a PS3 bundle featuring Quantic Dream's hotly anticipated exclusive will be released in France on February 24. It'll boast the 250GB PS3 Slim, a regular copy of the game, and have a price tag of 349 Euros, which translates to about $500. This shouldn't be all that surprising, considering the developer in question is situated in Paris, but American gamers are still gonna be a tad jealous. Although Heavy Rain may not be a massive system-selling title like God of War III or Gran Turismo 5 , there are still a great many artistic-minded gamers out there who don't yet have Sony's machine. In regards to a Collector's Edition, we'll be on the lookout for that as well; in the meantime, if you want an early taste of the mystery, make sure to sign up for the intriguing Four Days Challenge , which should kick off on January 26. There are plenty of reasons to remain psyched for this game and besides, most of you already have the PS3, huh?
It's always nice to provide consumers with more incentive, though. Besides, it could help Sony's marketing again…you know, provided they actually promote the game.

Dumb question: I already signed up for the 4 days challenge, and I also received the code for the t-shirt to wear it in Home, but, where do I put this code to get the shirt??
The PSN store should have a thing in the upper right corner somewhere that says "Redeem Codes" or something like that. If that ain't it, try a store in Home. I don't go in there anymore but that could be it.
Question- is the original voice recording of the game in french or english?
Umm, wouldn't it cost less just to buy a system and then the game? Equivalent to about $360? I must not understand the Euro pricing on the PS3.

Retailers like to pretend the Euro is equivalent to USD. 99% of the European populace know better though and are pretty ticked about it. Gotta love retailers man.
$1 US = € .71
$1.42 = €1

I was thinking the same thing World, except $399 for the 250gb Slim and $60 for the game. Still over charging by $40.

A regular 250 Gigger, goes for $349.99.
But, I'm thinking the console itself, will be a limited edition 250, that's skinned with a Heavy Rain theme imprinted onto it.
I know the FF's bundle was themed gray with a pink "design of Lightning", just like the 360 theme's theirs. I have the 250 COD MW2 bundle,that's charcoal & gray, with the "Task Force 141" theme all over both sides it. And I think maybe that Residential Evil red one MS did, was themed too.
Don't see a skin on the box though.
I haven't seen any ps3's in the US with a special covers on them. I don't remeber hearing about any in Europe either(maybe killzone 2). Japan is the only place that seems to get them, which really blows IMO.

There were two MGS4 bundles. One with a regular black PS3 and the other was a limited edition gun metal grey. It'd be cool if they made an aluminum PS3 to help with cooling.
I want the damn collector's edition of Heavy Rain but I'm having trouble finding it online. Grr.
Yes there was the gun metal gray color case but no special design on. The top just said playstation 3 like all the others. Now yes they came in a special box (I have the MSG4 black 80gb) but nothing special about the design on the top. Where as japan has had the cloud wolf emblem on the FFVII advent children ps3 and the white/gray and pink lightening ps3 for FFXIII. Something like that would be the only reason I upgrade to slim because my current one has BC for ps2 games and I still use that feature.
The French buy ps3's like crazy! The other console barely sells there at all

This is some strange news to me… Not enough PS3s selling in France that they gotta make a special bundle for them? The included game is Heavy Rain?? Um … maybe you want to look at the PRICE of the PS3 in France instead of making a bundle like this? o_O ?
Gotta say, I agree. The pricing is all out of wack. Maybe they should sort THAT out before trying other methods of system selling.

hmmmmm i dont think thats a really good idea.
heavy rain to me seems like the kind of game that you will either love or hate.
it certainly does not seem like a system seller, and it certainly would not be my choice to bundle with a ps3.
im a little worried people will buy the system with the game, play it and think all ps3 games are like that when there certainly not.
or maybe it will be like the killzone 2 ps3 bundle and thousands of bundles god sold and almost every one asked the game be replaced with something else.
i literally saw thousands of killzone 2 used copies within a week of release it was staggering.
most of those were from the bundles, so another bad idea because this will increase the used copies on the market thus reducing the profit QD would make on the sale.
but hey, ive never understood sonys logic so i guess theres some logic behind it.

I just can't figure out why Sony wouldn't do it, I mean, Japan got their Lightening skinned bundle.
Sony could've skinned it with the Words "Heavy Rain", had glossy wet-look raindrops running down the console, and a origami crane at the lower right corner.
Hell, just think if Sony had beaten MS to the punch & pulled off the exclusive for a skinned 250GB COD MW2 bundle….Imagine how many more PS3's would have flown off the shelves instead of all those 360 versions(like the one I had to buy).
Come on now Sony, let's get with the frigging program already….
in the UK the collectors Edition is exclusive to HMV, in case any brits were wondering. they never advertise these things very well

If this bundle is true my friend will be beside himself, his PS3 (60GB!) broke – under warentee, soo they gave him the money back in voucher form… hes been waiting for a bundle with one of the top titles of Feb/March.
Yeah, European pricing sucks… just take the dollar amount and put a euro sign in front of it, it's the same with all the games and consoles, else I'd be getting my games 45 instead of 60 bucks, but hey, that's what you get for a "strong" valued coin…
I think Heavy Rain CAN be a system seller, of course only if it is promoted correctly. & judging by the way I haven't seen any commercials of MAG, or White Knight Chronicles or any multiplats in a long time, I don't know if that'll happen. But the reason I think Heavy Rain has potential to be a system seller is because there's not much like it on other platforms.
I've already got my system, I just want it to be released.
This is definitely the next AAA(?) title to appear in my collection.
