Yeah, I know what you're thinking: whatever happened to Raven Software's Singularity ? That's exactly what you were thinking; don't deny it.
It has been delayed several times already and it seems the game may be facing yet another delay, as evidenced by several release dates listed by retailers. Initially, this unique, time-altering FPS was expected to arrive in the fall of 2009 but Activision pushed it into 2010 because it didn't wish to compete with certain blockbusters. And last we checked, it was supposed to release some time during the first quarter of this year…but maybe not. GameStop has Singularity listed with a June 1 date and Best Buy says it won't arrive until June 22, although Amazon may not be up to speed; they still have a March 31 launch date for the title. We'll have to see if Activision or Raven confirms this expected delay, but wouldn't it be ironic if they pushed it again because of all the huge games slated for Q1 2010? …many of which that were originally set to release for the holiday season last year but fled into 2010 for the very same reasons? These days, it's tough to avoid butting heads with the big boys, isn't it?
Well, maybe it's a good idea. If you had to choose between Singularity and many of the promising titles set for release in February and March, what would you do?
Related Game(s): Singularity
Never heard of it i'll look it up
Yet another FPS would fall dead last on my list. Somehow I think publishers aren't quite telling us the entire truth about the development when they say they are just putting it off to avoid other titles, because even when they say that they all come out at once in a sales clusterfack anyway.
I would definetely have Singularity around the bottom of my list, although it does seem a bit more innovative than most FPS.
If you don't want to release your game alongside potential "blockbusters", then what does that say of your game?
It's like they're backing down from a game of chicken with other releases. Looks weak.
I wasn't thinking "Whatever happened to Singularity", I was thinking "What is Singularity?".

lol, I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that.
told ya this was going to happen!
its like publishers live in their own world and dont pay attention to other game releases.
meh, as long as splinter cell conviction does not get delayed im happy.
Oh Raven… Your game is pants isn't it…
Meh…I forgot about this game the first time it got delayed. Must be pretty crappy if it can't be released in the same quarter as any other game. I like it when I can look forward to a game, then it comes out, and I can play it. Getting excited about it, then getting disappointed…no thanks. I'll move on to something else. They can play their little hide-and-seek game with this thing 'till the cows come home.
I never thought id say this..but i want something other than a FPS…
