These days, it seems almost inevitable that major game releases will make their presences felt within PlayStation Home.
This goes double for PS3 exclusives so shouldn't we all expect some sort of Heavy Rain content for Home? We know we'll get a demo for the hotly anticipated adventure title and we know Quantic Dream will be preparing some downloadable content, but we have yet to hear about any association with Home. Well, until now. As noted by PlayStation LifeStyle citing a teasing comment made by European Product Manager for the game, Alex Pavey, there's every chance we'll see something in Home. "Home content? Wait and see. ;)" Yeah, that's enough of a confirmation for us; the only question left is, what type of content are we looking at? Are we talking about an entire space dedicated to the game, like many big-name titles of the generation? In my eyes, I think some sort of mystery mini-game loosely attached to the Origami Killer storyline would be pretty cool. Now that Home already has its own MMO of sorts ( Sodium One ), perhaps they can expand on this idea and give us more in-depth experiences…maybe they could even make it akin to add-on episodic content, or something.
Well, anyway, new content for Home is always welcome, especially if it's courtesy of a game like Heavy Rain . Who's getting it on the 23rd of February? Show of hands.
Related Game(s): Heavy Rain
I think Heavy Rain on Home would be quite nice! But, if not, I'm just grateful for some downloable content, if offered. In any case, the game itself should be good no matter what! And count me in on buying it the first day it comes out!
not me. I'll be getting it the 18th. I love my local stores :).
( In America btw ).
*Raises hand
I'm getting it, the story is really pulling me in now
Day 1 buy for me.
I'll be getting it.
Soon as the store opens, I'll be right there waiting!!
I just hope it's not a HR apartment for Home. Having to press fourteen buttons and twist the DS3 around to get back to town square would be a pain.
I don't know, I still have some issues with Home. It still doesn't feel right to me; it is the only way I can explain it at the moment… Understandably, as it is free, Sony can only invest so much in the platform. So that is all one can expect; i guess…
As I am not a big user of Home at the moment; it is not a priority for me personally; more interested in the game itself!
Q!
"i am home"
I'll be sure to check out whatever they may release that relates to this game, but I obviously can't say how much I'll enjoy aforementioned piece of media until I try it out.
count me in, day one purchase i think I'll be calling in sick to work that week 😉
You aren't alone on that one Robo I watched the interactive video on qore last night and wow just wow the visauls are amazing the game play looks very smooth and fluid. I'm as excited for this game as much as GOW3 now. I'm usaully the guy that praises gameplay over graphics but after playing Killzone 2 and the Uncharted series I'm a little spoiled from having the best of both worlds.
I'll be picking this one up as soon as i'm done my existing stack of games. I have to finish NGâ2, play ACII, go through Uncharted 2 on Crushing, and get the 'My Blaster Runs Really, Really Hot" trophy for Ratchet and Clank (the only thing keeping me from a platinum).
After that i'll be all over Heavy Rain.
I might be forced to delete Home soon, I need hard drive space.
we do?
when?
the last i heard of a heavy rain demo was gamescom last year and they said it would be out late 09.
still waiting.
i assume its been canned, though i really hope it does come out.
they should do a demo of the DLC that way they dont spoil any of the game for that.
i wish more developers did that to make sure none of the game is spoiled.
thats sorta why i dont want another GOW demo because i dont want the surprise spoiled.
but you all know i would leap at the deal the minute they announced another one coming.
I'll definately wait for the reviews, and then quite possibly wait for the price drop. With solo player games it doesn't matter if I get it now or in six months…!
Maybe Sony can set up a strip club in PS Home were Heavy Rain is to be.

It could share space with Saboteur.
