By now, we've come to know hundreds of excellent, loyal readers who have turned our Comments section into something really special. And because we know how much you value that interaction with us and your fellow members, we want to give you new ways of enhancing that interaction.
You guys always seem to respond to things like this; when we handed out MAG beta codes and only asked you to upload a wallpaper or two, we received around 750 submissions in the span of 48 hours. This is just one example of your dedication and creativity (some of those wallpapers were personally made), and other examples have been when big articles get hundreds of comments in a matter of hours. It seems as if you're begging for another way of expressing yourselves while at the same time, hanging out with all the friends you've made here. Well, we just started thinking about this…you know how GameSpot has those user blogs where you can put up all sorts of stuff? We're considering something like that; you know, where you guys can post up everything from user reviews to personal experiences with your gaming and entertainment. Maybe you even want to review the latest movie or Blu-Ray release. Maybe the latest CD. Maybe your new car. Maybe you just want to rant about something that totally ticked you off, and you need to vent to a sympathetic crowd. Maybe you want to share your latest wallpaper or theme creation with everyone and get feedback. The best part? What you do will actually become part of the site, viewable by all.
Basically, not only do we want you to have more ways to interact with one another, but we also want to give you plenty of options to create user-generated content that's all your own. Maybe you disagreed with one of our reviews or maybe we didn't get to a review, and you want to step in and provide readers with your own views. All you'd have to do is log in and utilize certain aspects of what we anticipate being an expanded UserCP. But before we start this up, we're asking you flat out: what would you like to see and do? When you log into PSXE in the future, what do you want to do besides read and comment? I was going to do a poll, but this type of thing needs actual verbal (or typed, whatever) feedback. Let us know and we'll get to work. 🙂
Some interesting suggestion gungrave… I think most points apart from point 1 are very good. Whilst "homebrew" is of interest to alot of people I don't think PSXeXtreme would want to be associated with software that has come about because a Sony game system has been hijacked.
Q!
"i am home"
A top 5 list could be funny as hell.
Ability to communicate with other users via PM or any other way necessary…
User review rating system
Podcast….
THANK YOU
This site's perfect to me, I'd feel selfish if I asked for anything big lol, so just getting the comments out of beta form is fine for me =P, cuz I'm curious as to what it will be when it gets out of beta, whenever that will be (and I'm patient, so I'm good).
A better PSXE Mobile site.
I'm usually always on the run and I always check this places multiple times a day. But I've noticed the bigger articles and reviews don't make it to the mobile site.
So make this happen. If you can.
This would be great… I currently access PSXeXtreme a lot via my Nokia E71 mobile phone. The screen and browser make it difficult but I can at least scroll down and read the news and comments… posting through it doesn't work though 🙁
Q!
"I am home"
I didn't read through all of the comments to see if this was already addressed… so sorry if it was.
But that actually brings me to my suggestion/ request:
Is it possible to have the forums and the comments section directly linked? As in, when an article is posted on the main page it is simultaneously posted in the forums and all comments left on the post are also replies to the forum post.
The reason I ask is because some of the comments threads go on forever and develop into very interesting discussions that I think a lot of people like to get involved in, but after a few days the article is bumped off the main page and the discussion dies with it. It would be great to keep these conversations alive and accessible. I think it would also increase interest in the forums themselves.
Anyway, it was just a thought. I know http://www.MMORPG.com does it this way and I really like it.
Comment of the Week?? and at the at end of the year comment of the year…then do Official PSXE Clan where you peoples..and us the members can make a Clan on a game and plat together…or do it sio we can arrange to play you at a game could be really kool. But the site dont need improvements already great!…Why not have reviews on peripherals..and give PSP more love 🙂

less fanboyism
You mean less slobbering with everything playstation?
But sir..
less playstation things on a site called "PSX EXTREME"
i lol'd
I'd like to see a chat box for sure, I'd also like to see user reviews of games and such like you said, and because we have such a good community I'd like to see more social aspects of the site rather than just news and reviews.
How about Video reviews on Major games. Like FFXIII, Gran Turismo, GoW3 etc. 🙂
Ben and Arnold's cooking recipes ? We can make it a weekly thing . 🙂
I have a fairly simple solution to the thumbs comments. IF Ben and Arnold decide to expand the User CP, make a section that shows how many thumbs up and thumbs down that user gives out on their profile page.
This way, we don't know exactly which comments they're thumbing up or down, but we'll know the user is a troll when we see that they gave out 564 thumbs down and 2 thumbs up.

I may be late with this idea but I have always wanted to create some type of a game radar of sorts. For example: Someone gets word on a project. Every user can research and update and we can all keep track of the progress that the project is making. From concept to production to distribution. Or disintegration of said project. It also does not need to be limited to games. It can include all forms of entertainment. Im just tired of hearing about something then in the future have to say, Hey!? Whatever happened to the so and so project that so and so were working on? Then by that time no one remembers anything.
Another idea I had was for some type of petition service.(Thats the closest thing I can relate it to). Lets say that we as PSXExtreme users feel very strongly about a particular project that we would like to come to fruition. We can get together as one and communicate with a developer and or publisher or even a manufacturer and make some sort of class action request. Who knows maybe we can institute the creation of something big someday. You never know what can happen when great minds get together.

@ FATHASUN
Those both sound like fun, interactive ideas. I'd like to participate in either!
50$ coupons for GameStop and Best Buy!
Sexy pic…
Very sexy lol
erotic too!
Looks like you guys have a tall order to fill Ben.
PSX staff, i would like to see information bout video game related products like shirts, toys, posters and things of that nature. info on the companies that are doing such products. release dates and cancellations. Damn you Mezco for not releasing the Little big planet toys.
I like the idea of syncing our PSN ids but honestly I like the way the site is… Blogs would be cool too.
1) More profile control … The community here is as awesome and unique as the site!
2) Comment tracking … I go crazy trying to see how people respond to certain comments or questions (like facebook i guess)
3) Community rewards … why not use positive posts and comments (thumbs up or likes) to increase member status (like a game) or at least for fun profile related "credibility"
4) Podcasts … doesn't need to be an hour long but a few short minutes of vehicle rants or dating stuff or whatever what add a great personal touch
5) PSX-expo 2010!!!! 🙂
noooooooo to podcasts.
Everyone is effin doing that.
Thier could be a PSXe clan which is community based, experienced members could organise a match on any game that features a quality online mode say Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Battlefield Bad Company and the legendary Warhawk which is still going strong.
To expand on the comment section the site could use the points we get for some odd reason? and spend it on some virtual stuff the only thing I think of right now.
Smiles can be used which could be epic, maybe spend points on emoticans
It would be pretty awesome if there was a PSXextreme app for the iPhone where not only could the users read the daily video game news but also be able to comment.
Right now I use the crappy phone limited minipage that only shows the stories and latest news and I can't even post comments…
Hope you PSXextreme guys can make this happen soon…
User reviews!!!! =D
