Painkiller Developer And Epic Working On Bulletstorm

You know what there were plenty of in all the Painkiller games? Bullets. Lots and lots of bullets.

And apparently, there were enough left over to create a whole new game all for themselves (bullets have become sentient beings in this piece, if you don't mind). According to Kotaku , Painkiller developer People Can Fly are now working on a new IP along with Epic Games, called Bulletstorm . This info comes from a recent trademark filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office last week and this product is "specifically for Computer software for use with personal computers, for use with home video game consoles for use with televisions." So yeah, a game. This should be a multiplatform title for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC although that's only an educated guess at this point. And if you weren't aware, Epic Games revealed its majority stake investment in People Can Fly in 2007, not long after the Polish developer worked on Gears of War for the PC. Right now, anything called "Bulletstorm" is destined to get some attention so we'll be on the lookout for new details over the next few months.  It's kinda what we do.

We just hope it'll be better than some of the Painkiller games, which have proven to be a little flawed albeit mildly entertaining.

Painkiller, and it's two sequels, was fun. Kind of like Serious Sam but in a different setting. Waves and waves of enemies and big bosses. Mindless violence at it's best.

Mindless violence? I think you just described nearly every FPS ever made.

not mindless, maybe over the top is a better way of looking at it.

I liked the first Painkiller, but never had the chance to play the other two. Hope Bulletstorm is as fun.

sweet, cant wait for this.
i love epic games, unreal tournament is still to today one of my most played games, its just so different to other games.
and gears 2 i love it to death, best shooter since BLACK.
for some reason i hate gears of war, but love the sequel.
weird, i could never get into the first one, just found it incredibly frustrating.
i wonder what happened to that survival horror they were making, hopefully its still there.
we have no where near enough survival horror games so we need what we can get.

"i love epic games"

Touche' – haha.
Never, has the absence of capital letters been this awesome in a sentence's meaning.
