Ben-DutkaAlthough the multiplayer popularity of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is undeniable, the experience hasn't been without its fair share of problems across all three platforms.
However, many of these issues should cease once you've downloaded the latest patch, which has now gone live for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It will actually address different problems for each platform; i.e., the annoying infinite ammo and Public "private" issue on the Xbox 360, the Prestige hack on the PS3, and the texture hack on the PC. Furthermore, some fixes apply to all platforms, like the balancing of the 1887, which should now make that weapon a little less godlike. The patch also allows Trophies to be obtained in SP and Spec Ops modes on the PS3 and more multiplayer servers have been added to meet the rising demand…perhaps Infinity Ward underestimated how many PS3 owners would purchase the game. Well, either way, we're certain this is only the start of patches and fixes for MW2 online, which is bound to break all the records set by its predecessor. Every online multiplayer experience can be improved in some way and you can bet that Infinity Ward will continue to keep an eye on things. Besides, they've done their job; responsibilities for the next Call of Duty once again fall to Treyarch, who has also abandoned the WWII setting in favor of a modern environment.
Hopefully, this big patch will have a positive impact and allow you to bypass some of your prior frustrations. But if you've got complaints or suggestions, feel free to tell us about 'em. You never know; IW might hear…

ooooo yea infinity ward IW net is sooooooooooooo much better.
is that why its required more patches in one month than the first received in its entire existence?
i dunno if its IW or if its moneyvision being tight a$$es, but whoever it is way to go on taking a perfect game and feeding it to the dog!

Patches are much needed. Sniping shotguns! I've seen it all!
bottom line this game is still fun, but they need to fix the spawning, especially when playing HQ. I always geet killed in the back WTF!
What MW2 really needs is a hard drive install -the blu-ray is constantly being accessed while playing and it is actually causing "lag" because of disk reads during online game play -if you agree – hit up the IW forums and find the thread requesting a HD install also Twitter the hell out of 402.
This needs to be addressed.
You bought a multiplatform game for the PS3 wtf did you expect? Let me guess you're also getting Bayonetta.
can anybody help me with the online play. damn sh!t won't work. whenever i go to "find match" i'm the only one that comes up. no matter what i do. it just flippin sits there. i got the patch version 1.07 downloaded but it still don't work. i restarted the ps3 and still nothing. HELP!!!
