We at PSXE may not be the biggest fans of Borderlands , but it's still one of the most popular games of 2009.
Those who are familiar with the hybrid FPS/RPG know there's only one vehicle in the game, and while that works out just fine, we can always use more . In fact, if you ask any fan of the game, one of their suggestions for future downloadable content is quite simple: more vehicles. Might Gearbox have heard this feedback? Well, Kotaku recently spoke to Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford and besides explaining the team's decision for only utilizing one vehicle, he also hinted at the prospect of new rides in the future. You can listen to the entire interview if you wish; the quote in question comes just after the 29-minute mark:
"I would not be surprised if in one of the DLCs down the road you’d discover that we’re adding a bunch of cars to the game."
If you have other ideas for DLC, you might want to make your voice heard in forums around the 'Net because it appears that Gearbox is listening. Furthermore, due to the fact that multiplayer is far more popular than the single-player campaign these days, don't be surprised to see more additions for the online multiplayer aspect of the game. Without awesome ideas from the gamers, devs are just gonna make sh** up for DLC, you know…that could lead to problems, even though most designers are gamers themselves, of course.

I'd be fine with the standard car if i could aim/shoot in one direction while driving a different direction, like every other game ever made.
Wait a tick, you've always been able to do that.
To hell with cars. Get us more player characters.
All I want at this point is more loot. The game is about loot and the DLC coming early January hardly has anything to do with loot.
I'd have to argue against that point.. it has a bank and that is soooooooo important to me, so many things I need to store, it should have always had a bank though in my opinion.
i love this game… its addicting and ill take all the DC i can get @@!@!!
i really hope they do a sequel for this.
minus the respawning enemies and minus the million and one bugs this could of been my favorite game of the year.
i love open world games.
i love the cell shaded look.
i love shooting RPGs like fallout 3.
how in hell did they manage to fu** this one up?
talk about producing a nugget of gold and turning it to sh*t.
You sir must be playing some other game. The things you described are terrible, yet I've logged more hours into Borderlands than just about any other game. Besides the psn co-op glitch that the game had when it first launched (which was fixed very promptly) I haven't experienced any other issues which is amazing since I've logged well over 200 hours I'm sure. Working on my 4th character now.
The sequel will come, that's already confirmed – what I hope for that is that they go all the way and make it the first mmorpg on the ps3!
