According to the PlayStation Blog , inFamous has now dropped in price to $39.99 and there's another incentive that arrives on December 10: Cole's Gigawatt Blades Super Power! Everyone will be able to download this new bad-ass ability for free ; you can think of these blades as massive melee enhancers, which means you're gonna inflict a lot of pain when up close and personal. Furthermore, if you enjoyed the music in the game, you'll be able to pick up the official soundtrack on the 8th; it's now available to download at Sumthing Digital, in fact. Oh, and as one final piece of information- they have now sold over 1.2 million copies of inFamous , and that million milestone is always worthy of applause and respect. This is definitely one of the most engrossing and entertaining games of the year, and if you like the idea of a modern-day superhero in a GTA-style setting, you've got to give it a try. At some point, we imagine the game will become a Greatest Hit and drop another $10 but $39.99 is already a great deal.
Besides, you can't possibly wait any longer. It's just not fair to Sucker Punch. They really did an awesome job with this one.

DAMN IT!!! I already bought Batman, Katamari Forever, and Dragon Age over the Thanksgiving holiday for $40, $35, and $30. I was looking for Infamous, but I stayed at that $60 price tag…And NOW they drop the price?! I need to work some overtime. Crap!

The blades aren't just for the good guy right? Cuz i could use them on my second playthrough as evil.
I'm pretty sure they work for both Hero and Villian.

Fantastic game. Was my favorite game this year until Uncharted 2 came out. The Gigawatt blades are cool but hardly needed. I got this DLC when the game came out for preordering it. Think I used it once. There way better abilitea then the blades. Still nice that those who didn't get the content at launch will get it now.
Can't wait for a squal. This is one can play over and over again. The presentation was awesome, gameplay was fun and the story was interesting. Biggest surprise for me this gen.

The gigawat blades were awesome although they were hardly needed when you did use them you almost always killed a guy in one hit unless he was a conduit i think only thing that sucks bout em are that theyre melee only
I loved this game, but I haven't been able to beat the final guy yet. 🙁 But I have also been searching for my last piece of the shard, one freaking piece left and I can't find it agggghhhhhh.
if your playing on evil just spam rockets and concentrate on dodging and recharging when you need to. playing on good is a bit more difficult. use the exposed wires as med packs and just blast him with grenades. the last shard: there's a ton of maps available. download them and cross out found shards one by one.

there piss weak and have very limited range, might as well use normal melee.
just as effective.
the only thing i did not like about infamous is its very unbalanced.
be bad and your virtually unstoppable, your powers are SO much more powerful.

and if you use the orb at the end of the game you get more health, but that automatically sends you evil.
how is that fair?
you can have extra health, but you have to be evil?
theres no balance!
be bad get more health and more powerful attacks.
be good and get less health and less powerful attacks.
Murdering tens of thousands of innocent people to grant yourself super powers is pretty evil.
You only got more health because you didn't find all the blast shards. You can max your health out as the Hero too if you find enough shards.

o yea forgot about that.
i did find all the shards, had too to get my plat and it almost sent me bald.
but they really need to balance the powers out.
sucker punch said in a interview if your good your powers will do more damage to each enemy but to a small group of enemies.
but if your evil your powers do less damage but to more enemies.
like the grenades, good they restrict your enemies but evil they turn into smaller grenades.
they said good powers require less uses.
like say good grenade takes 2 to kill a enemy but evil may take say 3.
but i found it the other way around, i found evil is more powerful on a enemy and more effective against multiple enemies.
when its suppose to only be more effective against multiple not both.

shards don't effect health, only charge/ ammo and the good ability (overcharge) is free and a one hit ko excluding goliaths and the bosses so it's really a choice over ammo or damage.

Ah yes, you are correct sir. You can up you health my increasing you tolorence to damage by spending your EXP.

i still haven't got Platinum. I only two to go. Can't complete all the stunts or the one where you have to kill 25 enemies while riding a moving train. Tough stuff.
tis very hard.
for the stunts its impossible to complete them unless your in the missions.
finish the game and theres barely any enemies left, thats what happened to me.
i left the stunts till last, than had to start a new game to complete them all again.
because once you finish the game theres barely any enemies left.

had it at ne point, never kept it, i bought it cheap to trade in for profit. got the profit.
i'll wait till it becomes platinum. that'll be nice. the first platinum game i really want. All the other plats i want i owned before they became plat.
i might finish cod6 then start mgs4 again.

Is the game pretty much like the demo? i played that but i didnt like it so i didnt buy the game. I am really interested but im scared that im not going to like it
I had the same issue, the demo does not convey the addictive properties of the game, or the excitement. I was scared I wouldn't like it but took the leap and it was the best purchase I made all year.

When I played the demo the first time, I felt like you do, but then I played it again…and again and again. If you give it another shot, you might just "get it" like I did.
I was waiting for a holiday deal to get inFAMOUS, but $40 should be good enough. Yay.
I got it for $40 through the earlier BestBuy deal (buy 2 get 1 free), and you can even get it used for 35 at Gamestop, now. It's been compared to Prototype, but it really is more like Crackdown, but with much better graphics. It isn't mindblowing in any one single department, but it is one of the few single player games that you'll want to play again right after finishing. But be warned (MILD SPOILER ahead)****************************************************************************************, the story does not change much at all when playing as an alterego, and the story seems like it was written more around Cole as the good guy.**************************************
I am eager for the sequel, with it's online play, and expecting great things, and improvements. It should be a system-seller.

I got this game as part of the walmart ps3 bundle and I loved it. Can't wait for the next one.

This is one of the best in my ps3 collection for its uniqueness, originality, freedom when you play, and it is very addictive and u feel very powerful; I was holding a negative bias initially when I saw its GTA type of feeling which I dont like, but then 1 hour after playing the demo, i was so addicted and had lots of fun, i bought the game the next day and it just blasted with me in the next 2-3 weeks. this is the game i actually want to collect all the trophies with Demons Souls.
To me, this is the Action Game of the year, while Demon's Souls is the RPG of the Year for ps3

I finally started playing inFamous about 2 weeks ago. At first I wasn't really that impressed with it. But that's all I had to play so I just kept on playing and playing….and playing… Eventually stopped myself and realized just how much the game rocks!
It is very addictive and it is a lot of fun to play especially as Cole gets stronger and the enemies "evolve"…
I have played a fair share of it so far and it is indeed a great action game. So the sequel will be a definite buy for me.
I do have some technical issues with the game thou and there are a couple of small things I think they could have done better but over all i think it is a great game…
I have been so broke of late that my game buying has been nearly non existent so for Xmas I'm finally buying Uncharted 2 and a new Controller… Oh and the G.O.W collection.
I was planning to pick this game up sooner or later and then one day i find a email from PSN saying inFamous Drops to $39.99. Needless to say i got the hint and ordered the game now its on the way 🙂
