White Knight Chronicles Lands US Release Date

Back in 2006, we heard about this awesome RPG coming to the PlayStation 3 called "White Knight Story." Since that time, it has gone through a name change and a lengthy development process over at Level 5, and unfortunately for North American gamers, it has been available in Japan for some time.

But our day is a-comin'. As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , the International Edition of White Knight Chronicles will launch in the US on February 2, 2010. Not only will we get the fully localized game, but this edition also boasts 50 disc-based online quests (to be completed solo or multiplayer) plus the hint of much more come launch, voice chat, Live Talk (Leonard and his party will have little side discussions during the game), and the Georama, which is where you build an online village for your character and can then invite friends to participate in quests online. So there you go, role-playing fans: WKC finally has a confirmed North American release date and thankfully, it gives you more than a full month before Final Fantasy XIII hits on March 9. You can get your fill of Chronicles in five weeks, can't you? This is one game we've been waiting on for a very long time and we're just thankful it doesn't have to butt heads with FFXIII; Level 5 deserves a more open playing field to appeal to the widest possible assortment of RPG followers.

So anyway, we figure this will come as good news to our readers. I know for a fact that a great many of you have been waiting with bated breath for WKC.

This is my most wanted RPG. It has much more appealing stuff to me than any other so far, including FF.

Level 5 get it right because they always stay true to the old school. No other is really doing that and get carried away with current, terrible fads.

This is much more innovative than FF too, the online georama alone is testimonial to that!

Anyway, just need a Europe release, which i'm predicting within days of the US one, and im FINALY content and can peacefully wait for PS3's best RPG so far.

Another Feb Birthday here, the 14th for me. Guess Mag and Star Ocean just got put on hold for me. With WKC, FFXIII, GoW3, Bio Shock 2, and Dantes Inferno, me and my wallet are gonna be in for it. And the original Bio Shock was awesome, period. I still need to get AC 2, Dragon Age, and Ratchet n Clank ACiT. Bad thing is there are about 3-4 games I know I'm probably forgetting to mention, lol. Oh Playstation how much I love thee.

Its kinda of funny, every game decided to avoid the holiday competition so much so that there are no games in it anymore.

DS rental goes back next week finally got 712. Taking my time on DA & WKC after that not gonna rush thru anything, if I don't get to FF13 til summer oh well. Just good to finally have a decent rpg list going that started with Oblivion & Disgaea3 & by the time I'm done with FF13 hopefully I can get FO3GOTY for cheap & finally do the DLC extras, unless more new RPG's are out by then Mass Effect2? Dante's Inferno? & hopefully they will just keep coming.
