Oh, this is always fun. That's right, ladies and gentleman, it's once again time to play…NAME…THAT…GAME!!!
As revealed by IGN , Take-Two CEO Ben Feder has said the company will be delaying "a major unannounced title," one that was previously scheduled to launch some time next year. "We decided to move one AAA title that was originally part of our 2010 projections out of the 2010 fiscal year," he said. He wouldn't provide the project's title or any other further details, besides giving us the hint that it will most certainly be a "profit contributor of meaningful proportion." The first name that springs to mind is Grand Theft Auto V but it's unlikely Take-Two ever had that one penned in for a 2010 release, and besides, such a "delay" wouldn't exactly come as any big surprise. Next year just seems too early for that one. But there are two possible titles in Agent and L.A. Noire , although one could argue that both have been "officially" announced. We've known about L.A. Noire for a long time and Agent was mentioned during Sony's E3 conference earlier this year. They didn't say much, but still…
But maybe that doesn't count as being "officially announced;" I don't know. Anybody else have any ideas? Bioshock 2 is basically a given for February and Red Dead Redemption just recently obtained an April 27 launch date, so I'm pretty sure those are definitely out. Maybe it's just a new IP no one has ever heard of before, or an unanticipated sequel.
when i hear unannounced i think of a game they have not even spoke of publicly yet… We've been hearing about the agent for awhile, and personally iver heard less of L.A. Noire but i still think its considered announced.
any ways it must be something else!
Yea… Agent has been announced.. it can't be that game.
I agree.
Could be a new Warriors although I'm not sure if they developed the original one.Or it just could be a GTA spin-off(not necessarily V).
Yea probably something like "GTA IV: Gay Tony Part 2"
Suspense!
Hope it's not Agent.
Maybe it's Midnight Club.
I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure Midnight Club is a "profit contributor of meaningful proportion," and those games are always AAA.
Well that's odd. Why even mention this? A major game that's AAA and is a major profit contributor was supposed to come out in fiscal 2010 but now it's delayed and they're not saying what it was? Where's the "nah nah poo poo?"
Why? Because this announcement was for stockholders, not gamers.
i think it's GTA V
Didn't they do an interview and state that it is very possible for GTA V to come out next year but that they will probably slow down the process and just release it in '11? I remember reading the interview and laughing.
how can that not count as being officially announced?
a CEO standing up on stage in front of thousands of people live and god knows how many people watching online, saying im happy to reveal today agent a new game from the developers of GTA series.
that sounds like a official announcement to me.
same goes for LA Noire, and it wont be that because a ex employee of gameplayer is now working at R* bondi and he has said there almost completed.
my guess would be GTAV or a title we have no idea about.
but than i doubt it would be GTAV its to soon they normally do a few spin off titles before they go the full incrementation.
THE DARKNESS 2!
it just hit me, that and bioshock 3 are the only unannounced 2K games i know off so yea my moneys going on the darkness 2.
I would prefer a WitchBlade game.
I don't really care. 2010 is already saturated as is, hell FF13 alone is good enough for me.
What we have here as an announcement that an unannounced title has been delayed, which is basically an announcement of a later announcement. What is this supposed to convey to us anyway? Why not just shut up about it until you have something to announce?
HAHA Great Point World.
Again, because it gives stockholders an idea of the potential income in the coming year.
huh looks like max payne 3 will not be out till Q4 next year………
wont say i told you so.
well since Max Payne 3 has been announced, I would say you're just a dumbass…
WTF?
you completley took the post out of context and im the dumb ass?
congrats sheko.
i was clearly stating that max payne 3 got delayed again, when it was first delayed a few months ago everyone here argued to the bone with me saying it will still be out this year.
and now here we are looking at late 2010, i was just pointing that out.
and im the dumbass?
huh, the irony is killing me.
o please dont tell me you misunderstood that too.
first of all, it was off topic…secondly, you were being smug…hence the dumbass.
A game that you dont know about, that you didnt know was planned for 2010, is now planned for 2011. wait, what?
You scared me Ben, thought Agent was gonna get pushed back (even though we have no idea when it will be out, what it looks like, or anything relevant about it)
Did they "officially" announce Max Payne 3?
According to another site, it is Max Payne 3.

There was an article about the game in OPM a couple issues ago too… so I guess it was unofficially announced.

I hope it is Max Payne. I just hate what they're doing to it.
I'm putting my money on L.A Noire
Chicken Tikka Massala Wars?
Take Two: "We decided to move one AAA title that was originally part of our 2010 projections out of the 2010 fiscal year."
Journalist: "What title?"
Take Two: "We'll announce it on E3 2010."
Journalist: "So…..is there any need to announce that there's gonna be an announcement for an unannounced title?"
Take Two: "Of course not, we're just making you all excited, like how when we show you "Agent" and then poof."
What is their fiscal year? The announcement said the 2010 fiscal year and some companies are already in thier 2010 fiscal year though most follow the calendar. So technically we could see this title in calendar year 2010 but it would hit thier books for fiscal year 2011.
Edit: looks like their fiscal year ended 10/31/09, so they are already in their 2010 year. So this announcement could just mean we will see said game holiday time 2010.

Thumbs up for checking the facts rather than just talking out of your ass.
As long as its good, i hate waiting for a game, and it shat aNYWAY
NOOOOO!!! it better not be AGENT!! that's my most anticipated game of 2010!!
No kidding. Agent looks sweet and it's exclusive to boot! A nice full BD of gaming goodness is headed our way.
Most likely LA Noire………….
nah if it is itll be a surprise but LA Noire and agent both have been publically announced. its gotta be something else! and honestly if it is something unnanounced who cares if its delayed, its not like we would know bout it anyways unless something got leaked.
Delays are bound to happen, look at all the stuff thats been pushed back into 2010.
I think LA Noire myself but who can tell.
