Yakuza 3 Confirmed For Euro Release In March 2010?

Even though we got the games over a year after they released in Japan, most action fans still appreciated the very solid Yakuza titles on the PS2.

And although the third installment – the first for the PlayStation 3 – is already available in Japan (and they're even talking about the fourth title), these fans still wouldn't mind if Yakuza 3 showed up to the US and Europe a little late. However, the sales numbers for the first two games in North America weren't great and there has been no indication by Sega that it would ever break Japanese borders. Perhaps we've seen the last of Yakuza in the US…but maybe not. As a reader pointed out, the German branch of Amazon has a listing for Yakuza 3 , which is certainly encouraging. If it releases in Europe, it stands to reason the game will be on store shelves here in North America and better yet, it doesn't appear to be too far off: the Amazon.de listing gives us a March 2010 estimated launch. Of course, without anything official from Sega, all we can do is speculate and hope. But I know for a fact that we have several fans of these games on this site, and that's just a small sampling of the loyal following that has slowly grown over the years.

C'mon Sega, just do it. One more time. We'll prove we really do like this series, and you won't want to wait so long to release Yakuza 4 in North America and Europe.

Wow, March is getting even more crowded! Add Yakuza 3 to Gran Turismo 5, FF XIII, God Of War 3 and MLB '10: The Show and I might have to pass on buying anything else until September.

I have to say I'll skip everything coming out then just for Yakuza 3! I WANT THAT GAME. That is the GAME I NEED!!!! I personally doubt that the West will be able to show that we really do love the Yakuza franchise…but god damn it's still a fu**ing awesome one.

Right below Metal Gear Solid…not by too much either.

Why does Yakuza come so late when everyone here clamors for it?

Because Sega are the biggest teasers ever.

Just look what they did to us poor Shenmue fans…..ironically, Yakuza is from the same team.

They are really gonna release this here? that would be another huge punch on the 360 face.

its understandable why sega dont want to bring it outside its home town because they would have to spend money with localization and such.
so why not just translate the game into English, than have it available on your website for purchase that way you dont have to worry about shipping costs and all that.

or a even better idea, once yakuza 4 is done and dusted release yakuza 3 with it, that way you have 2 games released for the cost of 1.
i mean come on, surely it would sell enough to cover the localization and shipping costs.

That was uncalled bc they are localizing Bayonetta.. and Yakuza is also a high quality game..and if you ask me I take Yakuza over any Devi May Cry or the Bayonetta game..
