Media Molecule has said in the past that a sequel would almost be counterproductive, and with huge updates like this one, it's clear the team wishes to continue to reinvent the original title.
What they're calling the "biggest game update EVER!" will arrive on Monday for all you LBP lovers out there. As revealed in full detail at the game's official site , update 1.21 – also known as "Leerdammer;" it's a kind of cheese, apparently – delivers the new Online Create option, increased profile space, an overhauled saving mechanic that makes everything faster and more fluid, and improved network functionality. The online create feature will let you get all inventive and imaginative with up to three other players and to enhance things even more, they've "rewritten both the way the game handles networking code and the way it finds people for you." Basically, the game looks for people who are closer to your Internet speed and more likely to have a lower ping, which should improve lag and fix other lingering network issues. There's a lot more concerning saving and profile backup and what have you, so make sure you read up on all the enhancements offered by this massive update. The LBP Store is now "a bit easier to navigate," sticker switches have been made more noticeable, Race Gates can be made thin again…it's just huge.
The developers have continued to pay very close attention to LittleBigPlanet ever since it released and not surprisingly, it's a far more complete and full experience than it ever has been before. Who needs a sequel? It feels like we're already playing LBP2!

Truly the most innovative, original and most enjoyable game this gen so far.
Ive never in my life given a game a perfect 10 but, this gets it.
It never ends!
Best party game there is this generation, NO DOUBT 'BOUT IT!
Wow, another industry changing title. Oh look! It's PS3 exclusive, just like all the other revolutionary titles out there! (Uncharted 2, MGS4, Killzone 2)
I would agree with a score of 10 if:
1. The physics engine didn't make jumping SO touchy.
2. The later mandatory "story" levels were more noob-friendly.
Nonetheless, it's a GREAT game.

Is there more content with it? I'm not too creative and would rather play some cool new levels. 🙂

LBP is one game that can live on forever with the advent of DLC

It can live forever without dlc as long as theres creative people who have the game.
Nice. I might go pick up LBP today.
I… I… I JUST SOLD MY COPY OF LBP GOTY…
Everytime Mm makes an update I miss is T^T but wow this one sounds like a wopper of an upgrade and I can't wait to get creative all over the face of the LBP community if ya know what I mean ^_^
Why would you ever sell that game? It never gets boring.
Why 3? Whats wrong with 4?
This biggest update ever for me would include some new levels to play. Ever since the MGS pack, I've pined for some other awesome new levels designed by the MM staff. The Users create some good stuff too, but MM can use licenses and I would love to see their take on some other game worlds.
LBP: the little game that could.
Get a group of friends together, and man you'll be like "F**** this shit's awesome!"
Seriously, can't wait for this update
UPDATE 1.21! Great Scott! This is heavy.
We need a Back to the Future level pack…
"There's that word again; "heavy". Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the earth's gravitational pull?"
lol
We used "heavy, & "far out" & "groooovy man" way back in the 60's.
So I'm guess it about time it's back in style once again, since the old saying goes…
"What comes around, goes around"
(Damn, I can't remember where I packed away those red & silver checkered platform shoes, my hippie beads & and my sandalwood incense, and those psychedelic 'shrooms????)
"Oh well, guess I'll just Keep on truckin'"

isn't it "What goes around, comes around" ? or maybe it changes depending on the person talking, lol. just sounds better like this.
@SnipeySnake= I've been cut off from the PSN for a while so playing LBP all alone got boring so I'd sell it for something new but everytime I got reconnected I bought it again and so on and so on and now that im cut off again I haven't bought a new copy T^T
Media Molecule, doing it right!
nice, i might get this for my psp depending on how the saboteur turns out.
60 bucks for a PSP game is a complete utter rip off.
no wonder everyone hacks their psps.
I traded my standard copy of LBP and have been waiting for over 3 months for GOTY edition to come to Australia.
And now, with this update… HURRY UP!!! OH GOD, I WANNA PLAY LBP AGAIN!!! I WANNA PLAY IT AGAIN SO VERY MUCH!!! PLEASE!!! OH GOD, PLEASE GET LBP GOTY EDITION OUT HERE NOW!!!!!
Wow, sorry about that, but very few games made me this excited, except Uncharted 2, MGS4 and Mario Galaxy. All 360 games continue to strive for mediocrity.
Eureka, LBP is the most creative game I have ever played! Sorry, the excitement kinda pertains to another post.
Got the update. It was pretty small and yeah, the online is a lot more stable and the save feature definitely is improved. Good stuff.
