Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days Will Make You Cringe In 2010

The original Kane & Lynch: Dead Men was somewhat entertaining but riddled with plenty of issues, so we're hoping Eidos will deliver something decidedly better when the sequel is released next year.

It has been announced that Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will arrive some time next year for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. This confirmation comes straight from Square-Enix Europe but as a reminder, the game will ship with the Eidos brand name and IO Interactive is at the helm once again and this time around, they're using a little shock value to help titillate the consumer. They're not only calling this sequel "a new visual experience inspired by documentary filmmakers and the user-generated era," but we've also seen some truly questionable video content already. For more, check out the two viral videos , which are both disturbing in their own ways. It seems much of the story will be told via security cameras and what is seen on those cameras is enough to make most people cringe. Obviously, Dead Men wasn't nearly controversial enough to make the splash they desired…oh wait, no, it wasn't that; it was that the game itself wasn't very good.  That's what it was.

Well, anyway, it'll certainly be interesting to see how Dog Days turns out. You can make it as insane as you like but if the gameplay still falters, you won't sell many copies. Such is the way of the gaming world.
