At this rate, we'll be downloading episodes of "I Love Lucy" and entire seasons of "The Twilight Zone" before 2010 is over.
The PlayStation Network continues to grow, as today, SCEA announced the addition of fresh offerings from Lucasfilm Ltd., Cinetic FilmBuff, ContentFilm International, Image Entertainment, Inc., and MPI Media Group and New Video. You may not recognize a few of those names, but you'll certainly recognize the content these companies will provide: "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" (seasons 1 and 2), TNT's "Leverage," films "Hurly Burly," "Interstate 60," and the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," and the online miniseries, "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog." That's just a sampling, too; more will definitely be on the way. The statistics continue to reach astronomical heights, with more than 10,000 hours of downloadable content, 2,300 full-length movies (and we haven't even gotten to Netflix yet), over 14,400 TV shows, and now, 40 studio and network content providers, "including entertainment from every major motion picture studio." Sony further reports that there are 29 million PSN user accounts thus far.
Finally, contrary to any rumors you may have heard, they have no plans to start charging for access to the PSN. There is the possibility that Sony may charge for a certain premium membership of sorts, but for the time being, access to all of this remains entirely free to everyone.
"entire seasons of "The Twilight Zone"

That`s only for a handful of countries. England, france, Germany and so on. I`m afraid that other "small" countries won`t get this this year, and not so sure about next either.
it has to do with the copyright laws in the country. thats y canada hasnt gotten access to the video store yet. not sure about europe so dont hold yur breath until where u live starts cracking down on bootlegging
Australia too. There are many gamers down here looking forward to this too. All 9 of us.
Man. I hope that this means that the Star Wars movies will be coming too.
You mean you haven't seen them yet? j/k
star wars in HD… awsome!!
LOL. Yes sir, I have seen all 6 of the movies multiple times.
I am ready for some HD Force viewing!!
does anyone know when the uk video store is going to be live? i thought they said at E3 it was going to be 1st of november??
In a dimly lit conference room somewhere in Japan, hooded figures in business suits sit around the conference table, discussing their scheme… :
Sony Exec 1: Yes, our plan is coming to fruition… Sony Exec 2, what's the status on our mind-washing video-store content increase?
Sony Exec 2: Increase in video content is going according to plan, sir. All the companies we have struck a deal with have accepted and they are uploading their movies to our servers as we speak.
Sony Exec 1: Excellent. Now it is only a matter of time. All we have to do is wait… Muwahaha …HAHAHAHA *maniacal laughter*
Seriously though, doesn't it feel like they're taking over? As in winning against the opposition? And then proceeding to to mind-control us? (ok may have exaggerated)

…dont do drugs
M8 I'm not saying they're actually conspiring or anything, I was just joking when I wrote that scenario. Although I am serious about Sony gaining an advantage in the online content they provide. And I'm not stupid enough to do drugs. Not even funny to joke about m8, we had a clean addict the other day in uni give a talk about the effect drugs had on his life, and it was scary.

Good news! But I still prefer DVDs and Blu-Rays to digital files. I do make use of the video rental feature from time to time though. With this and Netflix, PSN is going to dominate.
I am all over Netflix when that starts up.
It's nice to know our cousins on the other side of the Atlantic are blessed with loads more content. What about more for England. Or should I say EU to be PC.
yes!! Texas Chainsaw, best bbq in Texas.
Tron in HD would be nice…
"Something, something, something… complete"
Wish the anime wasn't so darn expensive.
Sony may charge for a certain premium membership????
what the hell is this!!!!We are all premium member!!!
special access to what? Are premium member going to get access to demos or other stuff before the rest?
This is BS!!!
what they wer thinking of doing was kinde of like you pay whatever $ amount per month and you get to DL a pre set amount of DLC. your not going to be paying for any of what we get free its just a better way of buying stuff on the PSN

We got some news awhile ago that they were considering a paid service that let you download all the crap you wanted for a single fee or something like that. So far nothing has materialized though.
What? No Captain Kangaroo or Mister Rogers' Neighborhood
Don't forget Pee Wee's Playhouse.
I could never forget my pee wee.
so i dont know if any one has noticed this but under remote play we can now register mobile phones! i know it will have to be a compatible mobile phone but i remember reading about a sony ericson that would be able to do remote play with the ps3.
also picked up the new dynamic background of south park.
as long as they keep bringing content to the ps3 i dont see them leaving any kind of demographic out.
I like how i can finally watch Naruto Shippuden in English now, but the voices still suck XD, but the more content PS3 gets in the future, the more people will buy it !!! Oh yeah has anyone notice that PS3 is behind 360 by a good 3-4 million units now. The PS3 takeover is inevitable!!!!
start charging for the PSN and im back to PC.
fair warning!
i really wish they would add some ps1 games to the PSN store though, today went through my old collection of games and had some wonderful memories.
dont know if anyone remembers playing point blank but i remember as a kid i use to play that for hours on end every time i went over to my cuz house.
sony would seriously make a mint of me if they added some PS1 games to the PSN store.
not to mention PS2 games, why the ^%$#@@#$%^^%$#@ my PC can play ps2 games but my ps3 cant is beyond me.
for ^%$#@#@#$$@! sake sony, if a bloody no name can develop a emulator to run PS2 games on a PC, im sure one of the worlds largest electronic companys can manage.
i mean seriously, your higher skilled than a kid at college aint ya?
Maybe they should buy that guy's emulator.
And then I think they could take it apart & re-tweak it to Sony's standards.
Imagine the satisfaction for all, non BC's can have their PS2 fix and Sony's happy too.
