Those special Collectors or Limited Editions of high-profile titles often threaten to break the bank, but EA and DICE sympathize with your wallet.
While special editions for games can cost up to $150 (like the Prestige Edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2) , EA will offer a Limited Edition of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 …and for exactly the same price as the regular retail version. The catch is that you'll have to act fast as this edition truly is "limited;" it'll only be on store shelves "as long as supplies last." Revealed today, this great option for fans will include six special game unlocks; four are for Bad Company 2 while the other two are for the quality multiplayer title, Battlefield 1943 . Here's the extra content you get for the game in question:
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 releases in North America on March 2 and three days later in Europe. If you're fast, you can pay the standard $59.99 and still receive these extra goodies, but just remember that there's no knowing how many Limited Editions EA will produce, or how long they will last. It's always best to be proactive in situations like this, yes?

nice, even tho im not interested, pretty sure those'll be handy, and nice for it not costing a BILLION pounds a la MW2
I'll pre-order that.
yea this is good, glad to see they didnt hike the price $10 for this!
EA has been hitting home runs all year. Thank you EA and Dice. I'll be in line for my copy.
I love this game
I Never really like getting special editions. But I may consider this one.
Well um, I wonder why…
Aye? What's that supposed to mean?

Indeed, EA has certainly changed this gen, a lot of new IP's and treating the customer with a bit more respect, maybe they realized they were too much like Activision and decided to better themselves.
I received a message on my PS3 that said it was from Sony C E O telling me to sign up for the beta and said I would receive $50 psn card. But when I went to the site to sign up if looked like a scam.
Anyone else get this message?
Yeah I have had that, and a few other messages that tell you to forward a message to all in your friends list, I hate them types of messages, an instant way to be deleted off my friends list.
None of it is real, trust me. I can definitely understand how tempting it is to try it anyways, with the possibility of 50 dollars for doing nothing. BUT, it isn't real sooo… don't forward it to anyone. This is the bad part of getting a copy/paste function in our messages.
This looks like a pre-order for me, nice one EA, at least they are not raping our wallets, like some others.
As it happens I have been playing BF1 the past week, quality game, looking forward to the next iteration.
Activision take a good look at EA and follow suit . . . ya bastard.
tracer dart and vehicle motion sensing was in the first one. not sure why they didnt make it back in the standard version, taggin a sniper and sending a rocket his way was hella fun, to say the least…
last game i bought from ea was underground , the rest of them i eather rent them or have check out the demo… i also dislike thos spam fake messages telling u you going to get money and stuff,i have never send a single 1….. damn i did buy red alert 3 commando challenge

That's not much of a limited edition IMO.
OH MY GOD QUICK CALL THE DOCTOR, BOBBY KOTICK JUST HAD A HEART ATTACK…. on the other hand… meh forget the doctor.
I like special editions with games, but I don't like special editions that gives players an edge in online gameplay. One such example was the Gamestop pre-order bonus for the Uncharted 2 that unlocked the revenge booster from the very beginning.
Actually, after having played the "Bad Company I" demo again; I was mightily impressed with the Frostbite engine. I think it actually looks better than CoD.
So instead of getting CoD MW2, I am going for "Bad Company 2"; looks stunning; especially the destructible environments 🙂
Q!
"i am home"

definitely getting this, if the LE is available here.
but this kicks the crap out of MW2, i mean come on who does not like creating their own doors?
why go through the window when you can go through the wall?
and the sound effects were incredible in BF BC, the machine guns sounded like machine guns, not like a troll farting.
the explosions were so loud, i could feel the whole house vibrating, and that was using crappy logitech Z5500 speakers.
i would love to see what would happen if i had my ps3 hooked up to the surround sound system down stairs.
It would sound great, surround sound really benefits this game. The BF games have always had good and realistic sounds.
I remember the first time my mate played it at mine, he paped his pants when machine guns were blasting behind him then explosions were taking place all around as the house he was in was being destroyed bit by bit by the unfriendly tank which was knocking at the door.
LOL knocking at the door.
classic.
cant wait for BF BC2, hopefully they give you access to air strikes more often in that.
that was the best part about BF BC.
god i love blowing things up.
It'll also better support DTS again like the first one. Not many third party games support DTS.

although i wish DICE would stop tooting their horn.
i swear if i hear one more dice employee touting there supporting dedicated servers im going to scream.
ok we get it, you dont have to brag about it like its the second coming of christ!
game developers these days need to learn how to shut the fu** up and let their game do all the talking.
