As announced over at the PlayStation Blog this collection will ship on November 17 and while that's only a week after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the same day as Assassin's Creed II , it's still a must-buy for PlayStation collectors. And make sure you check out some inside information as to how the SCEA team determined the new Trophies for both God of War and God of War II ; it's actually very, very interesting. And we're absolutely certain that a few of those Trophies – like Hitman 2, which requires you to nail down a 200-hit combo – will be extremely difficult to obtain, so prepare yourselves for a definite challenge. And hey, remember that now-infamous spinning spike column down in Hades? Remember almost wanting to throw your controller out the window? Well, if you can make it up there without taking any damage, you'll earn the Gold, "You Got The Touch" Trophy. We suggest taking your time…or maybe going as fast as possible…or something in between…whatever, that's gonna be pretty hard. And let's not forget about the hotly anticipated playable demo for next year's God of War III !
Check out all the Trophies you'll be trying to earn and make sure you mark November 17 (or maybe November 18, as that's when the copies are guaranteed to be on store shelves) on your calendar. It's a can't-miss and a must-buy.

And since I'm not a trophy whore you can just go tofurkey yourself about that Gold one you mentioned, no effing way.
Yeah, trophies and achievements (don't know what Wii has, if anything) just don't do it for me. If there was actually some kind of reward such as PSN wallet funding then you could count me in.
i think there should be more super hard trophies which are platinums, like this one. anything thats super hard, and a real achievement should get platinum. i mean, i can get a gold trophy in burnout for arsing around.
Hands down getting first day, maybe even two copies!
He failed to mention that both games have their on set of trophies. That's right, TWO PLATINUMS!
cant wait, already pre-ordered on amazon. but i am in love with Demon's Souls, time can easily fly from now on.

I just had to start that damn game all over again because I did a hard drive upgrade. The save was copy protected. I had almost 100 hours invested in it. F**************************K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
awwww, that really sucks. the game is so damn challenging and they made it no easy in every aspect, not even copy the save file so other gamers can have a easy start eh.
oh well, i wont even bother to copy and use it for my slim when I buy this holiday then.

ya know, even though i have already have/beaten both of them, i still feel like getting this
HD and trophies are a good incentive to play again
but even still, i have been looking to replay both to experience it again b4 GoW3 comes out
I second that, this will definately come in handy before GoW 3 hits. Since both of mine were stolen.
Played GOW2 but not one so im getting this no doubt ^_^ but man a 200-hit combo??? I don't think I could pull that off T^T
Do throws, lots and lots of throws. I remember the best place 4 me in GOWII was the last group of enemies before Clothio (The fat bi*** with 30 some boobs).
impossible unless I learn them really well and then ingest 200 cans of Red Bull.

Well here is another one to add to the list. I've bought so many games lately with the great deals and I haven't touched most of them. I don't have time with school. I guess it will make for a nice winter break. I'll have so much to do! 🙂

well there goes the idea of me platinuming it.
im not sure if i should go through the risk of importing it or not, since its only available in the US and every single time ive imported a game from the US.
1 its taken over a month and
2 its been lost.
i really cant afford to through 80 bucks down the drain.

Only available in the U.S.??!!! You can`t be serious! Why would Sony not make this game available everywhere? Someone please tell me he`s mistaken and that it will be released in other countries too. I`ve been looking forward to this game since it was announced but I definitely won`t be importing it. NEVER!

they seem to believe no one has bought a ps3 outside the US, either that or they bought it to watch bluray movies on.
as i said before, they want your money but when it comes to giving you the content, there nowhere to be found.

I got two thumbs down because I`m angry Sony isn`t releasing this game outside the U.S.? I wonder how you Americans would feel if Sony announced that Gran Turismo 5 would be released exclusively in Japan. Perhaps someday you`ll learn what it`s like to be screwed over by Sony, something we non-Americans get to experience way too often. It`s become painfully obvious that Sony has no respect whatsoever for it`s customers outside the U.S. and Japan.

Wow I already killed myself after finishing The Challenge of The Gods. No I gotta' do the Hades spinning-spikes without dropping a drop of blood? I'm real hardcore at GOW but this is insane.
This will be awesome. But I doubt anyone apart from 2 or 3 people from this site will Platinum it. If I get the game then I will eventually want the Trophies.

I realized Trophies make the new generation games less fun. IT'S ALWAYS MORE FUN PLAYING A PS3 GAME AFTER GETTING THE PLATINUM. In the older days you could do anything you wanted at anytime. Now it's always a goddamn schedule.
Oww c'mon a Bronze Trophy (100 hits combo) is harder than 4 of the Golds in GOWI. Beating the game is inevitable so that's cheap, even for Kratos.
Hardest would be spikes in Hades. Or The Challenge of The Gods for the people who haven't beat it before.

I have never played the Gow games but i am totally getting this
One of the GoWII trophies is "You know the germans make good stuff…" Shamwow commercial?
I was hoping they would name a trophy after the Goat Sacrifice they did for GoWII, but there was nothing. Oh well.
Hmmm, 200 hit combo… Its not as hard as you think. I've hit the 500 mark in both games. Although it has to be on the hardest difficulty, the end of GoW was where I hit my first 500, and the entrance to the temple of the Fates is where I hit my second 500. I've done it in a couple of other spots that was just barely possible I wont divulge that info. I'll let you have some fun trying it out.
