But if you've already beaten it and require more hardcore rock sustenance, you'll be happy to know that EA and Double Fine have announced the first piece of downloadable content. It's called "Tears of the Hextadon" and it features two new maps for the multiplayer Stage Battles; the first is Circle of Tears that, not surprisingly, places you on a circular battlefield, and the second is Death's Fjord. As the name suggests, you'll be in a mountain pass with a bunch of fan geysers and basically no cover for any units. Oh, and if you download this new pack, they'll toss in a bonus: the Blade of Ormagöden, a new axe for Eddie. Said Double Fine president and game guru Tim Schafer:
"I play Brutal Legend online every night, and I need more maps! Circle of Tears is named after the crying of my vanquished foes on the battlefield, and Death's Fjord is obviously a tribute to my Nordic ancestors, and their love of fan geysers and… Well, actually I just thought the name was cool."
He even makes official announcements sound fun. Anyway, the pack will up on the Xbox Live Marketplace on November 3 for 400 Microsoft Points, and those with a PS3 will have to wait just a few days until November 5 to nab it on the PSN. But the good news? It'll be free until November 19 so make sure you spring on this one fast! Personally, I really wasn't the biggest fan of those Stage Battles (I really just wanted an action/platformer like Psychonauts ) but even so, you gotta love extra content…especially content that's free for a while.

Oh man wow that's a nice deal for a new weapon! I've been holding back on beating the game until I could get online and enter my code for the tenacious d guitar weapon but since I gave that away its nice to see I've got dlc to rebound off of ^_^
Even though I do not own this game, it's nice to see the DLC is free for the PS3 only for a short time.
the problem with downloadable content= its nothing but means to drive up the actual cost of the game.
Metal is cool and all but can I get an ICP game? Imagine rolling a wicked clown through the ghetto in a drop top low ride tractor plow, who's goin chicken huntin?
whoa world you a juggalo? that idea doesnt sound that bad, 4 player co-op, team up icp and twiztid. unlocks could be different face paints and extra tracks in the game for added flavor. find different axes and hatchets on your way and have some punisher style finising moves for the final killing moves on bigots and pedos. you could find faygo bottles and throw them like grenades lol
they could even keep going throw in tech n9ne kmk pot luck… i could keep going lol

Love the game can't wait for this and it's great that it's free for a bit, very nice.
they need some proper songs in there though.
i cant believe ozzy is in there but where the %$#% is crazy train?????

would of been nice to see some metallica, and slipknot in there too.
