Inferno Pool, LocoRoco Midnight Carnival On PSN This Week

These days, you don't need to spend $60 in order to get your entertainment fix. There are numerous fantastic options on the PSN – the latest is Trine – and a couple more are coming this week.

The first is Inferno Pool , which has been available on the European store for five months and is finally headed to North American PS3s. The game was very well received when it released across the pond; the four-player action is apparently quite intense and even addicting, as the gameplay features terms like "ballzooka" and "kickshot-multiball-combo." This is pool with a whole new invigorating twist! But if that's not your thing, you should give LocoRoco Midnight Carnival a shot. This one will retail for $14.99 and if you were a fan of previous franchise entries on the PSP, you'll definitely be interested. This new title will feature the chance to race your friends through levels via Ad Hoc play; up to four players can compete against each other. There's a video through that link to get an up-close look at this fresh option, and don't forget that LocoRoco is another critically acclaimed puzzle franchise that rarely disappoints fans of the genre. With these two games hitting the PSN on Thursday, there are a couple more reasons to log on and peruse the content.

Oh, and let's not forget that you might want to sign up for Netflix through your PS3 or, if you're feeling particularly nostalgic, you can always sift through the PS1 classics available on the PSN.

I may get Inferno Pool but I'm leaning more towards just waiting for Hustle Kings. As for LocoRoco: Midnight Carnival, isn't that just a PSP game? If it's an actual PS3 game, I'm STOKED! I sold my PSP a while ago since I wasn't using it but I always find myself missing those little round, singing, dancing blobs of goo. One of the first games I purchased for my PSN for LocoRoco: Cocoreccho but that was a big disappointment (who the hell wants to play as a butterfly).

Netflix now available on the PS3? Not available in the U.K so makes no difference to me, just glad it is not tied to just one system anymore. Is it HD streaming?
