Maybe you need a breather after Uncharted 2: Among Thieves but yet another top-notch PlayStation 3 exclusive is right around the corner: Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time is only a week away!
And to celebrate the impending launch, we'll have not one, but two playable demos to sample; the first of which – the Clank demo – will be available this Thursday. Here, you will ramble about with Ratchet's sidekick, exploring the Great Clock, solving a few nifty puzzles, and beating on a few of Dr. Nefarious' minions. The second demo – not surprisingly, it's the Ratchet demo – will be coming soon and you can bet it'll be just as enticing, as the entire goal of these demos is to get you to purchase the full game. They also talk more about A Crack in Time over at the PlayStation Blog , where they point you in the direction of the first review. It's at IGN, and it's a solid 9 (PSM3 magazine gave it the same score, by the way). There are also a couple new videos to check out and they remind you that they've dropped the price of the downloadable adventure, Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty . If you're interested, Insomniac Games Creative Director Brian Allgeier will have a virtual chat with the dudes at the Blog, and that'll be this week so…yeah, it's all Ratchet all the time!
Since when have we received a sub-par Ratchet and Clank title? It's just not possible. At least, it doesn't seem possible.

Is there any other huge exclusive yet to be released before christmas?
Nice, the review on IGN is solid, but doesn't make any sense, he said that ACIT was an improvement over TOD in every way bit it scored less than TOD.What a bunch of Clowns…
It's a different reviewer. Jeremy Dunham reviewed Tools Of Destruction.
thats easy, different reviewer or mainly different time period. As quality of the games released goes up, so does the standard. i would ignore the score and just read up on the actual review.

Saweeet!
Talking about exclusives..Ben what happened to the secret game? it got cancelled?
Hell no!
Sony's gonna slam the hammer down on that other console next year with said exclusive. (As if GT5 wasn't enough to do it lol)
Another great exclusive!
ps3's rolling!
Will get!
I'm buying this game upon release, so says my little girl.
Sadly its another game that i'm passing on along with ninja gaiden sigma 2 and tekken 6. Not enough money plus beginning of next year is gonna be great. Im getting Modern warfare 2 instead, i just see more value in it to warrant my purchase. Hell, i hate activision but i love my FPS (modern/future era) so sue me.
Sue you, eh? I'm sure Activision would like to take you up on that offer someday. 😉
I agree with you, MW2 with it's multiplayer means not hours but MONTHS worth of gaming.
Well….I'm Ratchet and Clank will bring tons of replay value – as usual with the multiplier mode after you finish. Not to mention the fact that I've yet to play a R&C game that I didn't replay at least once, and of course you have to play until you max out all the gadgets and weapons.
Not sure how MW2 can amount to months of replay, after all, it's JAFPS…
Already got this preordered. Don't think i'll be messing with the demo's at all. Want the full effect playing the whole game.

btw
igns review is not the first PSM3 had a review in the october edition which was out on october 7
but november 5th cant come soon enough.
why for the love of god did they make the clank demo first?
im disappointed, i was really excited to check out some of ratchets new weapons this week.
hope its out next week or im not wasting my download usage.
speaking of PSM3 according to them, there november edition will have a review for assassins creed 2, MW2 and alpha protocol.
the first 2 seemed unlikely because knowing moneyvision they normally dont allow reviews till release day, and its a bit early for AC2.
but alpha protocol?
this edition was probably printed before its delay thats why its not there, but it will be interesting if its there.

Got it pre ordered, The people who have experienced T.O.D dont need a demo to pursuade them to purchase this
Indeed they don't all the rest of us who were with the lombax and his metal mate since the first game on PS2 all thos eyears back are still just as eager for more of that Ratchet magic.
IGN knocked a full point off for the "aging formula" of the series, wtf? So what about all the FPS games that share the same old formula-why nio mark down for them? More to the point why no mark down for SMG last time out? R&C got hammered for too much varietyyet SMG got praise for it's original "bite size planet" gameplay ideas-which it stole from the previous Ratchet! that was in UYA! On PS2! In 2005!
Still can't catch a break even with gamings most consistently good franchise can they? Fek em R&C were one of the top two reasons behind me getting a PS3 in the first place. AAA-every single time and possibly the nest written ames around as ,like the Simpsons it appeals to adults and kids at the same tme and on different levels. It's genuis and I'm so glad Quark's getting more airtime!
Will I miss much by not playing the previous installments?
tools of destruction is a must, quest for booty i would give a miss, since theres a cut scene while the game installs filling you in on that.
anyone who owns a ps3 must buy ratchet and clank future tools of destruction.
thats a law.
Oh god….I'm very thirsty for another Ratchet…….though I wonder how many weapons will Ratchet have this time.
I certainly hope it's gonna be at least 15 and at most 20.
I've been playing the old PS2 R&C games lately (I have a launch 60GB PS3…w/ a 250GB HD upgrade). I can't wait until Thur night when I get home from work now…maybe a sick day??? 😉
i hope the RHINO is more powerfull this time, and not as hard to collect.
took me forever to find the holo plans.
but than thats the best thing about R&C it takes forever to collect everything and max everything out.
almost as long enough to be a RPG.
TOD is still one of my favorite games on the ps3, its a shame people give it a miss because it looks like a kiddy game.
one word INSOMNIAC
that should seal the deal, anything made by them is a 100% MUST BUY!
Well, for all those that think it's just a kiddies game, I say HA! just goes to show what you lot know!
Seriously, does a game have to be all gritty realism and blood for it to be a grown up game? Is a game with cartoon or anime like characters, a vivid color scheme always a kiddies game? I think people are forgetting what a game is, judging the game based on the colorful characters or art style is a big mistake.
I'm more stoked for this game than Uncharted 2.
I've seen a demo running on display PS3's at bestBuy the past few weeks. Looks like a huge improvement over prev installments, which were already great.
I don't need a demo to buy this awesome game. Must buy first day since I finish with Uncharted 2. Of course I need to get platinum, but R&C are my favorite since they appear on the PS2.
